Great but not as great as the YouTube hype
If you look for reviews on YouTube or online you’ll find many saying these are amazing and with noise cancelling as good as the Bose Ultra or Airpod headphones, with equal or better quality sound.Well, that is definitely not true as I got rid of Bose Ultra headphones and later got these instead and the noise cancellation is definitely not good as sound, nor the sound quality. For £60 the sound when you listen to music IS good, although you will need to use the earfun app to set the equaliser the way you prefer it to be so the sound quality suits you better.Never less the sound is good, it’s not off putting, and surprisingly the noise cancelling is pretty good, definitely almost as good as the Bose, you’ll still hear more noise but it does make a noticeable difference. You can use these wired even with no power in the battery, which is great as I prefer wired headphones over Bluetooth, although in wired mode you have no power and so there is no noise cancelling or noise processing which means you’ll need to use a music player that has an equaliser to make it sound better when listening in wired mode.Battery life using ldac at its highest setting is good, and even on a crowded bus I have had literally zero connection issues, which has surprised me as even with Sonys XM4 headphones a packed bus would result in the occasional audio issue when 909 kbps ldac.Build quality is good, no noticeable creaking, and it feels well made and definitely feels like it should cost more to buy than it actually does.It comes with a nice practical case, which the headphones fold up to fit into, so they don’t take as much space up as they otherwise would, which is a good thing as you can fit these into a bag, rucksack or, for ladies, quite possibly a decent size handbag even. You can customise what most of the buttons do and the sound is loud enough that you can happily get lost in music, if you really want to, and blissfully ignore the outside noise. In fact they are that good that I would consider getting their earbuds for those occasions when I haven’t got room for the headphones, like when you’re going out and just want a set of small earbuds you can put in a pocket.I can’t comment on microphone quality in calls as I don’t use them for calls, I don’t use any headphones for calls, what I can say is as a pair of affordable decent quality and good sounding headphones for a commute where you might also want decent noise cancelling these are very, very, good. They’re probably the perfect balance between price and quality, so get them if you want a good low cost decent quality set of headphones, just dont let the hype make you think they’ll beat your Bose, Sony or Apple top of the line noise cancelling headphones because, well, they won’t.But they dont need to, they’re great for exactly what they set out to be, decent headphones with good sound, good noise cancelling and a good price. And for that, they are pretty much the perfect choice.Earfun seem to be, although a Chinese company, an actually good brand with good quality control, not something you typically think of when someone says affordable chinese made product.I already have their usb c dac which I use on my commute to and from work (spoiler alert, the dac is brilliant and beats the fiio one I had very easily) which is why I chose the Earfun headphones and, again, they are another product that is affordable and beats the nearest competition.

Good value headphones
Iâm impressed with these headphones. Easy to setup, Bluetooth very responsive.Appreciate the hard case provided for storage & protection when not in use. They are not waterproof but for me that is not an issue, using them indoors. The headphones feel reasonably robust but still treat them with care when turning the ear cups or putting on/taking off to avoid over extension.Noise cancelling works well. Ear cups & head band comfortably, even for a large head.Sound quality is good enough for me, Iâm no audio expert. The App you can download allows you to set the sound quality you like.Often listen to âmy stuffâ while others watching TV. No sound âescapesâ from the headphones unlike some headphones Iâve used (poor cup quality or fit)For a mid price set of headphones canât go far wrong with these.

Decent headphones
Only got them yesterday, but first impressions are good. Sound quality is decent and considering the price range actually very good. The app helps a lot with fine tuning the EQ. The ANC is also decent getting rid of most of the ambient noise, but does not give the disorienting feeling of being on a soundstage (or in a vacuum box). The built quality is excellent for the price range and the ear pads are comfortable and donât squeak. Setup was straightforward thanks to clearly laid out instructions and voice prompts.Connectivity is swift. I donât think these take longer than other Bluetooth headphones I have when turning off.I have not tried to get the second connection working yet and will update this review once I get round to that. The supplied carry case is sturdy and a very good and useful addition. The negatives are the lack of colour choice and I find the headphones slightly on the large side. As well as the fact that during a phone call you cannot switch between the different ANC modes.I cannot comment on battery life yet, but again will update this review once I have used the headphones for a while.

Following up the review with a great cust service story, the company looks after its customers and am very impressed to see the effort they are making to establish themselves. Thankyou for listening to the feedback and trying to keep your customers happy. I would not have any problem recommending.good: for the price its decent, like nothing that will blow your socks away but not bad either, comfy and good noise cancellation, not great.average: sound is average, doesn’t have the soundstage of a higher price headphone and separation but that’s not the complain here, you pay for what you get, sound doesn’t get too loud and mids and vocals average.

These headphones are another great EarFun product. I love the 4 pair of wireless earbuds and the wired set of IEMs from EaFun I have. These over-ear EarFun Wave Pro headphones are just wonderful. The build quality is really good. They’re comfortable…enough that I fell asleep with them 2 nights in a row after I got them. Sound quality is excellent and rivals premium brands. Battery has long life, connection is great, premium case…I love these EarFun Wave Pro’s!Although I have several other headphones (of various types – decent collection), the closest set that I can compare them too is my Sony set thats a tier 2 model (from the top that costs 4 times as much). My other headphones either aren’t nearly as good or have different features….so the much more expensive Sony set is a fairly close comparison. They are close to the build quality of my Sony wireless set, but maybe just a tad bit less beefy…However, they don’t look or feel chinsey or cheap in any way. They feel and look premium. The buttons are solid feeling. Nice construction. They do seem like they will last a long time without any structural faulure. Also, they are a good weight – not heavy, but not flimsy or anything either. As for comfort, they are actually a little more comfortable for long periods of time compared to the S brand set. The ear cushions are soft and don’t hurt my ears after several hours. Clamping force isn’t too tight, nor too loose – nice balance. The headband also has some cushion. So, to bottom line comfort and build, I’m very satisfied with Wave Pro and they are close to, the same, or even better in certain aspects than my S brand set. *** The EarFun Wave Pro is BETTER than my older JBL set I have (that I bought in 2019) in both build and comfort – a lot better! The sound quality is also exceptional. To bottom line it – the Wave Pro is close to / comparable to my S brand in sound. If there is a difference , it’s not by much. The EarFun app has several presets and a customizable EQ that works well and gets the job done to conform to your needs. I prefer extra bass most of the time, and pushing up the low frequencies in the EQ gets these EarFun Wave Pro’s bumping. Great bass. If bass isn’t your thing, no worries – these aren’t over powering at all…but if you want ear punching bass, these headphones can certainly do it by adjusting the EQ in the app. The mids are clear and detailed nicely for this type of headphones. In many of my previous sets, the mids were either too subdued, tamed down or didn’t have enough detail…These have a good, clean satisfying mid range that sound pleasing. Vocals are clear and aren’t muted / low like other headsets. Highs are nice without being to bright…nor too dull. Nice crisp highs but no over sibilance. The sound quality absolutely punches higher than it’s price bracket. To be honest, these Wave Pro’s come pretty close to rivaling my tier 2 Sony’s that have a retail price that’s 4 times as much…and are also slightly more comfortable. LDAC works great and adds that extra hi fi sound. Most headphones in this range don’t have LDAC…so nice added bonus. Be advised – LDAC only works with single connection (not dual connection). Also, other than phones, there are very few Bluetooth devices that have LDAC capabilities…In order for your headphones to recieve in LDAC codec, the transmitter source must be LDAC capable. I do have a Fiio Bluetooth Transmitter/ Reciever (with DAC) that does have LDAC which works nice, but it’s a rare device. They are others out there, but you would have to verify that the source of Bluetooth has LDAC to benefit from it. TVs, Fire Stick, PCs and most other sources don’t have LDAC capabilities…Anyway, don’t worry about it one way or the other – these Wave Pro’s sound great without LDAC. I’ve been using these headphones to listen to music while watching videos on my Fire Stick 4k Max, which doesn’t have LDAC. Still sounds awesome! The dual device mode works great without a glitch. I love that you can listen to a source – ie TV / Streaming Stick, but also use the app on your phone to change the sound perameters, touch controls and see battery life in real time. Bluetooth connection is great , stable and has good range. Easy to connect. Battery lasts a long time and is as advertised. The travel case is premium – this also rivals my S brand. The app works great as well. You can change the sound/ EQ – there’s preset sound options and a customizable EQ. You can customize the control settings. Toggle between single/ dual connection, LDAC on / off, and Game Mode on / off. The app allows you to download firmware upgrades. To save battery, you can select an Automatic Shutdown timer at 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes. You can also select “No automatic shutdown”. This setting is useful for keeping your headphones on standby for calls or just using them for noise cancelling without playing music.ANC – The ANC on these works well with low frequency noises such as air conditioning units or loud vehicle noise while traveling. I haven’t used it much in a crowded area with people (ie busy cafe), so I don’t yet know how well it works in those regards. It isn’t quite as strong as the much more expensive pair I have been comparing them too, but it still works really good…and is (at the very least) as good or better than other headphones in this price bracket. At least for me, these seem to do the job just fine for my needs in noise cancelling. I’m satisfied. There’s 3 levels of ANC – “Wind Noise”, “Comfort ANC” and “Strong ANC”. I need to explore this more to see what the differences are exactly, but I do know they are different strengths. “Ambient” mode is a passthrough or transparent mode that allows you to hear everything around you …your surroundings. I find this useful when going out and about – in a store for example where you can comfortably talk to someone without taking them off. I’d also use this mode if I were to move about in a public area so you can hear traffic sounds or what ever for safety. So, with all that said, Im enjoying these EarFun Wave Pro headphones. These are an absolute great deal for what you are getting. If you want premium sound and options , but don’t want to spend a ton of money – these are a great choice. I would recommend these.

For the huge difference in price, this piece of art matches the high end brands when it comes to noise cancelling, and it has a decent audio quality too, other brands offer a slightly better bass and louder volume, but the audio quality is great. I was also impressed by the call quality, those on the other side of the call can hear me clearly even while I am at the gym or walking outside in a loud environment, I am very happy with my purchase.
