Affordable remote entry system, helpful if you have low mobility
I am so pleased with this.I read through about a number of similar products.I wanted one that didnât autolock. This one doesnât.I wanted one that made a beeping sound. This one does.Better still, it makes a different beeping sound when it opens than when it closes.As on a car fob, there is a sign on the button whether youâre locking or unlocking. But this is just an additional reassurance.It says it beeps to let me know the battery is low, but I donât know if that is so yet.Some of them only say they work for 10 m. This one claims 30 m I think.There is no way it would work 30 m in my house. But itâs definitely over 10 m.The bolts itself is in an indented alcove, so probably this restricts the range. I was worried it was going to restrict it greatly, but it does manage to work through a couple of additional walls in the house. One of those rooms is very small. And it definitely doesn’t require line of sight.I was concerned because the examples show it on a door that is in line with the wall next to it.Iâve put this on a UVPC door â a door that doesnât have a flat surface to one side.I have given only 3* for ease of installation for this reason. But it may be easier for youThe casing is designed so that you can attach it one of two ways, either to the surface in line with the door or a surface at 90° to the door. I went for the latter. See photograph.One of the reviews had said it was fairly easy to install but it had taken time to setup.I donât understand this because all four fobs are already set up to lock and unlock the door.NB. If you want to check the range, you can do so before the commitment of installation.Put the batteries in, and place the lock on the floor near the intended installation place. move away whilst testing the fob and see how far you can go and still get it to lock and unlock.In my case the range improved once it was on the door.Possibly because the antennae is designed to be in a downwards position.I have low mobility and this is life changing to be able to let someone in without walking to the door. Cheaper than a smart lock. Very happy. Thank you.

Reassuring and solid
Very good heavy duty lock. Good solid thunk when the bars move across. Comes with 4 remotes which is excellent. Makes a nice tone noise upon locking and unlocking. Very easy to fit. Pleased with it.

Sticky Pad Dud
I opened the box, the lock itself is quite heavy and seems secure, however, as soon as I looked at the instructions and saw “lock is held on door with sticky pads”, I thought how is this secure with sticky pads? Surely anyone could force it off. So I repackaged the item and sent back for a refund.

Beat the bailiffs
This is great. Easy to install and your home is locked from. INSIDE when you have left. No fear of the locked being drilled out. Well built hefty lock. So impressed I’m buying another.
