Not an action camera but…
If you are looking for a budget alternative to an action camera then this isn’t it, whilst the footage recorded isn’t bad nor is it YouTube worthy, and it isn’t intended to be.Rather if, like me, you are not in a security or public facing contact role, this is an ideal fit and forget camera, something that isn’t intended to catch memories for sharing but will hopefully record any event where evidence may be required at a later date.An example, my first test of this was to see if it could function as a dash cam and less than a mile from home 2 deer did what deer do round here and leapt over a wall into the road infant of me.Fortunately I drive with this in mind as it is fairly common and was able to stop, but in the event of a collision I would have had footage to share with me Insurers.On getting home I checked the footage against that from my dash cam and the difference was almost imperceptible.Only con so far is the time, no matter how often I set it it decides to switch back, this could be user error as I have yet to read the manual.

Solid body camera with great video quality. The battery life is excellent, lasting me around 10 hours, which is more than enough. Night vision works surprisingly well. Feels reliable and itâs very easy to operate. Great value for what it offers. âââââWould recommend. Fantastic value.

PROS-acceptable video quality (HD)-big buttons-not as heavy as my previous camera-LED illumination-2 clips-big batteryCONS-not a very secure camera: the memory card can be removed-a bit heavy-a bit ingenuous to claim a 48Mpix resolution, this would be an upscaled image, and not a native resolution-laser seems like a good idea, but I fear this would escalate the tension in any situation-not particularly weatherproof (open speaker, no silicone cover for the memory card slot)-interface a bit complicated (single presses & holds, plus menu navigation)NOTES-donât think Iâll ever be using the red/blue/siren feature, but Iâm sure some will find it usefulMY STAR RATINGS:1* substandard, mostly cons2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros

High quality and robust personal camera ideal for deliveries
A rugged and well-made body cam which has given us additional reassurance when out on delivery runs.The product comes with instructions, charging cable and a couple of different clips for mounting on shoulder, or on the front of your chest. The image quality is clear enough to make out faces day and night and the audio quality is crisp and clear.There are 6 buttons on this unit (3 on each side) which provide a number of options such as recording of images, videos or just audio. There is also a blue/red siren option (panic alarm?), torch, video quality selection, a red laser and power button along with the covered USB port for charging.On the rear, you will find five more buttons and a screen to control the menu options. It is great to have so many options but it is quite a lot to get your head around. As we were predominantly just using this for video and sound recording, we set this to cyclic record so that the oldest content is deleted when the card is full with motion detection on so as soon as we turn it on, the camera starts to record.It is all fairly fuss-free once you work out what all the buttons do. The memory card slot is on the bottom but would have liked a cover for the card in case it falls out but, as it is recessed and requires a push to eject, the chance of this occurring is very unlikely.On the front you obviously have the lens, red blue LED’s and night vision LED’s. The night vision works great and provides good clarity and less graininess than normal mode when ambient light is dim. All in all, this body camera provides a great number of options, video and image quality is perfectly usable albeit slightly grainy when light is fading. Night vision is a great feature that works well in complete darkness. The only reservation we have is how waterproof the unit is, as there is no cover for the micro SD slot (although it is at the bottom) and the speaker/microphone vent at the top. We can only assume it is not splashproof nor waterproof as this is not mentioned anywhere in the listing, but as a personal security camera to deter trouble at night, this is a fabulous little product.

Lasted a full 8hrs
I’m Very happy with this product. Not the best body camera you could buy but still a very good little body cam. This lightweight unit has ample memory and a good operational time I work in the security industry and I have had the cam on stand by for a full 8hr shift and itâs still had charge⦠however I also had it on recording for a shift and after 6hrs I noticed it had switched off⦠this was the first time I used it and it may not of had a full charge⦠overall I would recommend this product and would happily buy another again.
