How do I connect my Smart Lamp via WiFi to the app?
Step 1: Put the lamp in pairing mode: Turn it on and off three times until it starts blinking.
Step 2: Open the app and select your WiFi network. Then choose to pair the “Smart Bulb.
Step 3: Add the blinking lamp, and now you can configure it.
How do I reset my Smart Lamp?
1) Make sure the lamp is ON, then turn it OFF and wait for 5 seconds.
2) Turn the lamp ON and OFF (within 2 seconds and repeat this 3 time).
Do I need a Hub?
For the Calex smart products, only WiFi and a smartphone/tablet are required. Install the free Calex app and you are good to go!

Use these for whole house
Photos are of same calex bulb but one is on white other is on the colour mode.Easy to install and calex app is very user friendly. Having just tried a different smart bulb and a different app, it has made me appreciate the calex one even more, as the other brand was truly terrible and I am good with tech. That quickly got sent back more of that later!Iâve always just put these light bulbs into light fitting, they blink really quickly showing they are in ready to pair mode – gone to app and it has found each new one with no issues and added it and you add it to the room in the app and can even give it itâs own photo and name it something specific. I also use their plug in smart sockets as well so I can sit in another room and control things like dehumidifiers.Have the ability to change to either shades of white from cool to warm white or different colours and are all dimmable down from 100% right down through to 1% (good to use as a nightlight at 1%.) You can get them just for white though and they are cheaper than the white/colour ones. Also the fact that it remembers the last setting you use and you can do programs so they can go on and off at certain times is great and can also choose scenes which auto adjusts for things like working, night, reading by one touch of the appropriate button in the app.It is nice to wake up in bed upstairs in the morning and turn a kitchen light on from there ready for heading downstairs on dark mornings, saves stumbling across an abandoned dog toy in the dark whilst trying to reach the light switch.I canât tell you how many of these we have they are in each ceiling light and all our lamps and all bulbs work perfectly never had one go wrong. Yes they are more expensive than a normal led bulb, but I like the functionality they offer. Just remember they work on 2.4ghz wifi only, my router is dual 2.4 and 5ghz but I didnât have to switch the 5ghz off to add the bulbs. Iâve read other brands you do have to do that which seems a phaff.Iâve even just discovered that if they donât do a bulb fitting for a lamp all you do is buy a converter (just paid £6.99 for 2,) put the bulb in that, then put in lamp and it works same as if you had put it into lamp directly. The lack of availability of a particular fitting (golf ball normal size screw in) was why Iâd tried another brand, but now with the converter and this light bulb it is now resolved perfectly.Would not hesitate to recommend this brand and I also like most of them are plastic so no worry about dropping a glass one and it shattering everywhere it just bounces of the floor (itâs almost like Iâve done it,) still worked afterwards as well.They are also really easy to reset back to factory settings – but if you are moving them to a different room in the house you donât need to do that I just update the room it is in, change the name of it and update the photo.
