Love these. They work seaminglessly with Alexa
Great fun to tune colour and also to create a slightly warmer more traditional tungsten bulb light than most led bulbs. Easy to set up, they connect to your router with ease and great with their own app or used with Alexa devices. I assume they also work well with other such home device controllers.

Good value smart bulb, can be hacked with some effort
As a stock smart bulb, these seem to be of decent quality. The brightness of the whites is really good and the colour range seems good for what is a budget bulb (just over 8 quid a bulb).These are not ESP based bulbs, they used to be but they have since been replaced with Beken chips which do not support Tasmota, ESPHome etc.With a little effort, they can be hacked with Openbeken, a new smart home firmware for these new chips. The firmware can exploited OTA (i.e. you don’t need to open the bulb to flash it) using tuya-cloudcutter.The profile for the bulb isn’t fully known yet but you can use the Aubess WiFi Smart LED Light Bulb 15W E27 RGBCW profile to get basic control whilst the full profile is worked out. I’m working on getting the bulb fully compatible and will update this in due course.If you don’t want to hack the bulbs then they work out of the box with Alexa and Google Home and can be integrated into Home Assistant using the Tuya integration (with the caveat that this depends on the Tuya cloud to work).EDIT: I have now submitted a fully working profile to the Openbeken project so these bulbs can be set up directly from the Openbeken web app once the custom firmware is flashed.

The quality good, but not for HA
I’ve bought 8 bulbs. The quality of the light palette is very good. The warm lights create a perfect ambient atmosphere and all. The buzzing is there, but not too annoying, if you live in the city I bet you won’t even gonna notice it!Now, since I primarily bought it to use it with my Home Assistant to integrate it with all my other smart home functions, it’s not for me! If you have Home Assistant, you’ll have to use local tuya (to take the bulbs out of the Chinese servers). Anyway, another thing I noticed with using it with home assistant + smart wall switches is that whenever you turn the switch on, the light becomes available in 2 or 4 seconds in HA, so you can start controlling the lights. This tiny lag and the fact that it is a Tuya device, make me hate them. If you planning to integrate with Home Assistant – consider other a bit more pricy options like Zigbee bulbs.. Other than that if you’re using the Smart Life app, you should be fine!

Very bright and has a soild built app to controll it
A bit annoying to get it connected to the Wi-Fi if your phone prefers the 5GHz band and your Wi-Fi uses the same name for both (this is an issue with your phone and Wi-FI, not the product, but something to take note of), but otherwise, connects easily.The app as some nice automation options, such as turning the light on at a specific time which works well in tandem with an alarm for waking up. This has vastly helped me get up in the morning compared to just an alarm in a dark room. I really do recommend trying this out if you find it hard waking up as I do.I’ve not tried many different settings, but I have a 1tap task setup for a night light which turns the light on and sets it to red. My morning task is automated to turn on at 8 AM, set the light to white and put it to full brightness, it also has the option to turn off after a timeout so when you wake up you don’t even have to ask your Alexa/Google to turn the light off.I can’t vouch for Alexa, but it also works effortlessly with Google Home as well.The only issue I’ve had is trying to stop myself from turning the light switch off ð A life long habit that sure is going to be hard to break. Thankfully, the app will tell you if it can’t detect the light, which has only ever been because I’ve turned off the light switch, doh!

Very bright. Easy to control. Alexa integration is spot on.
I didn’t really want 2.4Ghz wifi bulbs, but rather the type that connect directly with the bridge built into my Echo devices. Still, I took a punt on these because I wanted plenty of brightness as an option.As it turns out they are really too bright at 100% and, for the hall and landing we have them set to 10% on the daily timer and just 1% overnight (Hall only as there is enough light even then to not need the landing on).I’m not fussed about the colours. Warm white is all we need.Installation wasn’t exactly difficult, but maybe a bit unwieldy. Compared to our Philips Hue bulbs, which work with Alexa straight out of the box, the need for the Tuya app and Tuya skill for Alexa just adds a bit of setup time and yet another flipping app/account to deal with. Once set up Alexa can take care of everything. It’s just adding the bulbs that takes a few extra steps.I can’t fault the bulbs. They work well. Maybe I could have got away with something cheaper or simpler to set up, because these are needlessly bright for our property.

Good solid bubs
Only had a few days but so far I’m happy. There are many options of these around but I went for these as they are 12w (100w luminescent equivalent – sort of!).The bulb in my office, library, music room has been an issue for a while. Daylight is too bright for some tasks, warm white too difficult for close work and Zoom. So I can now choose with the added option of being able to dim.Not interested in the colour options, seen some gripes about them and would concur that they are very dim. However, the colour options are only intended for mood lighting and if you want a party experience then this kind of lamp is not your solution.Only issue I had was pairing, it was not a great experience but then I have yet to come across a wireless device that did not have some kind of problem with pairing, so not going to hold that against them. All in all happy and will buy some more.
