Simply inexpensive and effective
Perfect for what I needed Which was a simple add effective switch between 2 laptops to use keyboard and mouse. Didnt need to spend any more than this and it works perfectly

Disconnect every 10 minutes
I regularly work on three computers, 2 desktop and 1 laptop. Sometimes, a second laptop, and a raspberry pi 5.I used KVMs long way back, but I now I want one set of keyboard and mouse to switch but no change on the displays. I usually have 3 monitors for 1 computer, sometimes the 3rd monitor is connected to the second desktop, and then various combinations. However I want to be able to see displays of computers I am running, rather than switching en bloc. USB switches is what I need. I won’t plug in hard disks, except USB flash disks since switching will unplug connection and power to the disk and connects it to the next computer, not nice, might kill the disk. On this basis, I don’t think I need to plug in power, and off the power is unplugged. The remote selector works too.At the moment I have 2 computers plugged in. Is there a lag? Not sure, there are way too many things here that something else is going to cause delays.By the way, as I got an ergonomic mouse to try out, that has a separate usb dongle, the keyboard has its own dongle (which works with its own mouse). So two dongles there on this unit. In fact, given there are 4 inputs, I could have another set of keyboard mouse to take up the 3rd or 3rd 4th usb slot. Then I have 2 sets of of keyboard mouse to control up to 4 of the computers. Not sure what use cases require that.I agree the A-B usb cables are very short. One day I’ll need to retrieve my 3m usb extension cables but for the moment this is fine. This unit delivered in expected timeframe. I ordered one in the weekend for same day delivery which didn’t come because “it had an issue”, considering where I live has a concierge and bell to the flat, the issue not mine. Before that, I placed an order for one which is shipped from the USA. Some 10 days expected delivery which I was prepared to wait for given good reviews. However, on the day of delivery, it claimed the item was not there and so a delay of another 4-5 days. I let both of these go and tried again, third one fine.Update May 2025This unit regularly turns off every 10 minutes or so. I have it powered up, using its own cable. Every ten minutes or so, my USB mouse and keyboard lost connection. I had to toggle the switches to get the connection back. I can’t test all eventualities to isolate the problem. But having moved my usb dongles to the pc case yesterday, the devices have been working without a break. Yes I did try different port combinations, I haven’t got time to test everything out yet. Now, 5 down to 1 star.

Does the job
Does exactly what it says on the tin

Not Good.
It works but inconsistent. It doesn’t switch successfully all the time. Waste of product.

Bare switch, no cables
It seems an excellent price, until you realise it will cost another £5 to get a USB 3.0 cable if you wish to attach two USB devices to your PC, or two cables to attach two PCs to your printer. If you already have USB A to A cables (or can use your existing USB A to USB C cable and have USB C ports on all your devices) then this is a bargain.Otherwise, there are other devices that come with all the necessary cables.

Won’t work well with Linux
It’s OK for Mac, and booted Linux environments, but it didn’t work well for me for BIOS or Proxmox console access, so it’s not really universal, and I can’t make use of it. Like many KM switches it incorporates a hub and I think this means it won’t work under some conditions, e.g. holding down ‘DEL’ to access the BIOS.

I use this to switch my keyboard, mouse, and a dongle between 2 Raspberry Pi 5’s. Especially like that you can control it from the unit itself or the easy to mount remote control. It’s built solid and since it’s small it is easy to tuck out of the way. The function of the remote lets you select between the two computers and indicate which is active. Switching is fast, and I have no problems with it. It’s a good product and value for the price, and I intend to get a few more for the other computers I have on my workbench.

Yo he pagado 12⬠por él.

I needed a KVM, but also wanted matrix capability. I found it cheaper to build my own by buying a 4×4 HDMI matrix, and this USB switcher. Yes, I have to change 2 different boxes, but I move my video sources a lot more than changing my mouse/keyboard inputs, so it really isn’t an issue.Like any other switcher, there is a slight delay when switching for one computer to release control of the USB devices, and the other to recognize them. But it’s hardly noticeable. I mainly just make my selection from the box itself, but having the wired remote is a great option.I also like how the box has 4 dedicated buttons for the 4 computers, vs a “switch” button that cycles through the 4 computers. Very satisfied!
