Workign from home essential
If, like me, you already have a desk set up with your own computer and suddenly find yourself working from home with a work’s laptop, this is an essential piece of kit. It allows you to use your existing mouse and keyboard with either machine at the press of a button. I have mounted this to the underside of my desk with some gorilla tape. Just to point out why I went for this one instead of a proper KVM switch, my monitor has a Dport from my computer and a HDMI from the works laptop and I have not seen a KVM that accommodates both Dport and HDMI to the monitor. Therefore, I have to manually switch my main monitor between the two (my second monitor is set to my computer) If you are working from home and find yourself with either two keyboards or mice set up on your desk for your works laptop, you need to get one of these. If you want to switch the monitor over automatically too, this is not the right component for you, spend a little more for one with the right video ports but just for a switchable 4 port hub, this is excellent.

Works like a dream switching between my work laptop and home pc. It’s smaller than I expected as well, which is a good thing. Mounted to the underside of your desk, you wouldn’t know it was there.

Got tired of unplugging and plugging in printer and scanner between pc and laptop every time I switched devices. This has made life so much easier. One click of a button and the devices are connected to the second pc. Very easy to use and no software needed. Just plug and play. Would recommend.

best Add-on for Working from home situation
I waited too much time for this mandatory setup for who work from home and use working laptop and home desktop.with the same mouse, keyboard, printer and USB headphone on 2 different workstation! It works perfectly. just press hard button to switch from Laptop to Home desktop.Change is immediately and all device attached are ALWAYS recognized.there is also micro USB to charge the device attached but I don’t use it and works perfectly .It comes with 2 USB3.0 (Male-Male) and 1 USB to charge the switcher (I don’t use , it is is needed if you need attach device that require more current like some old USB HD )

E’ più di un mese che lo uso ed è perfetto per lo il mio scopo. Lo uso per poter usare le stesse periferiche USB (tastiera, mouse e webcam) con due computer diversi. Fin’ora ho non ho mai usato i due computer contemporaneamente, ma sempre uno alla volta e lo switch non ha nemmeno bisogno di essere commutato manualmente attraverso il pulsante. Quando si usa un computer alla volta (ossia non sono contemporaneamente accesi) commuta da solo su quello attivo. Fantastico.Per sicurezza ho deciso di alimentare il dispositivo attraverso la porta dedicata.

Gewünscht habe ich mir ein Umschalt-Gerät, dass ich zeitgleich auch als USB-Hub gebrauchen kann. Ich habe zum testen externe Festplatten angeschlossen, wobei eine davon die externe Stromversorgung benötigte; ohne startete sie nicht.Die Daten-Raten (Lese- und Schreibgeschwindigkeit) waren sowohl mit als auch ohne Adapter dazwischen gleich.Hinweis: Sollten Sie einen externen USB-Stromadapter verwenden achten Sie darauf, dass dieser mindestens 3A (Ampere) oder mehr zur Verfügung stellt.Ein elektrisches Fiepsen, wie es ähnlichen Geräten hier auf Amazon nachgesagt wurde, konnte ich hier nicht feststellen.Die USB-Buchsen sind ein wenig eng / klemmen minimal, aber das ist durch alle Vorteile des Gerätes ausgewogen!Minus: Die LEDs sind in einem Loch versenkt. So kann man sie besser an der Zimmerdecke als auf dem Gerät erkennen (strahlen nach oben, aber auf dem Gerät schwer zu erkennen). Ein kleiner Punkt weiÃ-transparenter Kleber (ein weiÃ-Transparenter stopfen irgendeiner Art) auf den LEDs würde hier zu einer deutlichen Verbesserung führen.Ich habe viel Freude an diesem kleinen Helferlein.

Nothing to complain about the product. I have a keyboard, mouse, mic and webcam connected through it and everything works well. It connects automatically to the correct PC on start up so pressing the switch button is only required if you have both PCs on at the same time.

Molto comodo per condividere componenti USB tra due PC. Piccolo e discreto con cavi USB presenti e cavo USB per alimentazione manca l’adattatore USB dell’alimentatore.
