So far, so good.
I purchased two single packs of these USB-C to Lightning adapters. I was apprehensive initially as Apple strongly encourage customers to use only MFI products licensed by them citing the risks of using non-licensed products.However, on receiving two of these adapters my first impression was how well-made they were paying particular attention to the male Lightning connector. I knew the features to look out for which would indicate compatibility with Lightning devices, and these adapters appeared to meet all the criteria. I then tested one of the adapters with my iPhone and a pair of AirPods and yes, charging began. I did notice that USB-C male connectors donât fit fully into the USB-C female port on the adapters, but this is a minor quibble given that from a brief test, they are indeed compatible and work as expected. I will continue to use these adapters whenever I can to test them for functionality more fully.I think it is worth commending TechMatte for producing well-made accessories like these at competitive prices, and in particular, producing essential accessories like Lightning to USB-C adapters that simply are not made for/by Apple. Design features like aluminium casing and braided cables are an added bonus.

Well intentioned but unreliable
Overall the product looks good. However, it just doesnât consistently connect with the device so it doesnât always charge it. You end up having to wiggle the connector in the phone until it starts charging and hope it continues. As they say, close but no cigars for this one.

Bought this to charge an old iPad Pro that’s in the kitchen so I don’t have to keep switching cables. Using with a 60w USB charger and no issues with the high power.Also just used to transfer data from an iPhone to Android, worked perfectly.

I get fed up of buying Apple / lighting chargers, either pets chews them or an update stops them from working, lighting chargers are more expensive, the adaptors from lighting to usb c fall off, so when I saw this lead that is Usb C to lighting as an extension cable I was delighting to see it.Testing it, it charges my phone just fine and if the usb C cable I use with it dies itâs cheaper to replace than a lighting cable, these are way better than using a lighting cable. Donât waste your time looking elsewhere buy one of these and you wonât have to keep replacing Apple cables every 5 mins
