Excellent quality hub with brilliant transfer speeds
The video shows exactly what you get and my initial impressions of build quality as well as a quick overview of the ports, so I wonât go into all that here. Instead, Iâll go into what I consider most important: the transfer speeds and the port functionality. Full testing methodology included below for your information, but really, the summary is all you need to know.Summary: Good value hub. A lot of hubs at this price point have an inferior Micro SD card reader but this one is clearly using better quality internal components. No problems to report and I’m happy to recommend this. This hub is capable of outputting video to an external display, although you should remember that the USB C port on your computer or device must be able to display video over USB C to use the display features (not all USB C ports do).Pros & Cons:+ Good/expected: No real discernable drop in performance for the USB 3 Type A and Micro SD ports compared to plugging in to the computer directly.+ Good/expected: HDMI port worked without issue.- Bad/disappointing: None.—————————————–Testing methodology:- USB 3 type A:Control – 10 GBps SSD enclosure containing 3300 MB/s NVMe SSD plugged directly into a USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) Type A socket on the test PC (CrystalDiskMark benchmark 464.20 MB/s);Test – Same drive plugged into the USB 3 type A port on this hub.- Micro SD:Control – 128GB Lexar V30 Micro SD plugged into Transcend USB 3.1 reader (CrystalDiskMark benchmark 95.08 MB/s);Test – Same card plugged into the SD slot on this hub.- HDMI: Tested (display and audio) via connection to Samsung monitor and LG 4K TV using known good HDMI cableResults:- USB 3 Type A speed: 462.67 MB/s (1.53 MB/s slower than control)- Micro SD speed: 92.68 MB/s (2.4 MB/s slower than control)- HDMI out: OK (including audio delivery over HDMI)

A decent all-rounder
This review is for the USB C Hub Multiport Adapter, VENTION 6-in-1 USB Type C Dock with 4K HDMI USB 3.0 Ports, SD/TF Card Reader, 100W PD Compatible with MacBook Pro Air(Thunderbolt 3), iPad Pro, Surface Pro, XPS and More£21.99 at the time of review. This hub effectively gives you two extra USB (A) ports by using up one of your USB C ports, but you also get a 4K HDMI port and SD and TF slots too making it more versatile. The USB ports can be used to connect a keyboard and mouse (even though they are USB 3) and a thumb drive or any other sort of combination. I ran a scanner off one of the USB ports and it worked perfectly. The lead is quite short at 15cms (the flexible part of the cable) which means this hub is much better suited a laptop rather than a desktop computer. It has an aluminium shell, is sleek and the blue LED at the end looks good. For me though, the big let-down is that the HDMI socket only supports up to a 30Hz refresh rate which is half of what Windows normally runs at and I would have preferred it to run at least 60Hz for a 4K signal. It is competitively priced and well made, but the low HDMI refresh rate means I am going to give 4 stars to this hub. It is a decent all-rounder and covers a lot of the bases so you might not be disappointed with it.

Sleek, well styled docking port that works well
I have just installed a new tablet with a keyboard. Itâs only got one USBc port, so I needed to extend the connectivity. This multiport docking station was ideal choice, as it offers a range of ports, including DVI, USB 3 and a card reader. The device arrives in typical understated packaging and well protected with clamshell plastic moulding inside the box. The device is small and has a short six inch lead with the USB -C connector at the end.The docking station works well. All the sockets and the USB-C plug fit well and there are no signs of loose connections when the plugs are in The DVI socket provides a solid signal to both sound and vision when operating a second monitorPrice seems fair at £21 at time of reviewing. I really like the styling, sort of gun metal grey and metal body all blends in nicely and looks good with my keyboard and tablet. Very happy to recommend this device.

Good for on the go
This 6-in-1 USB-C hub works reasonably well . It has USB-C ports, USB 3.0 ports, HDMI ports, and SD/TF card reader , It is nice and portable and has a good feel to it , It connected to my windows 11 on a Hp laptop perfectly fine without any drivers etc needed, IT had no problems putting out the 4k 60htz to my tv and ran perfectly, SD card transfers was a little slower than direct into my laptop but not enough to worry about and worked perfectly fine , I think this is great to just throw in you laptop back for when need but due to the transfer speeds I think if you used it for business doing a lot of transferring maybe get something with better transfer speeds .

Probably my favourite docking station so far…
This Vention USB C docking station is deceptively small, yet offers 6 way expansion of a single USB C port in a neat package. Data transfer at up to 5 Gbps, 4K HDMI at 30hz, two simulataneous use SD/TF card slots, and 3 USB 3 type A ports make up the full arsenal of tools this device offers. They all worked perfectly in my tests, so that makes it a very good device. Is there anything bad about it? Well the only thing I found was the box – very protective, so much so that I found it impossible to get the device out without tearing the cardboard. Most people won’t care and just throw the box away but I like things just right…Still, that is not enough to stop this device being my favourite docking station so far.
