So far very pleased.
Would say if you are looking for a beginners drone, this one is worth considering. Holy stone products are considerably cheaper than DJI drones and it comes down to price and quality when making a decision of which one to buy. I would say for a beginner drone this Holy Stone product offers a nice introduction to drone flying. It’s very easy to look at all the negative reviews and scare yourself to death over a fly aways. Drones can malfunction like any other complex product and certainly Quality control during manufacture has a part to play in this also. What do l like about this Drone?1) strongly built and light weight.2) The landing gear keeps the drone props well clear of the ground, giving nearly 8cm of clearance so lawn take offs are acceptable.3) comes with 2 batteries. I never allow a drone to run anywhere near a manufacturers stated fly time.4) lnstructions are clear, always calibrate the Gyro and compass before each flight.5) controller is relatively easy to get use to.6) Holy Stone app is simple to understand.7) The charge times are pretty standard for the battery size.8) price is good.If this is your first Drone, take your time, start by simply getting use to the drones controls by only flying a few feet away from you. It has beginners mode which sets the parameters of flight distance and height and these worked perfectly. Attempting to fly further the drone would stop, and return to safe distance. There are 3 speed settings and the fastest will enable the the drone good headway during light winds. I find this Drone quite relaxing to fly . Flown regularly for nearly a year now. Don’t get paranoid reading reviews regarding flyaways, yes they can happen even to experienced pilots and you have to get your mind set right and say if it happens it happens. I would recommend this drone, it’s not over complex, good features and fun to fly.

Holy Stone HS110G Drone, for beginners, and intermediate drone pilots
This s an excellent drone for beginners and intermediate drone pilots alike, although I would NOT advise using it indoors unless you have a very large room for it, as it’s quite a fast drone and will be against a wall or ceiling before you know it. That however isn’t such a problem, as it’s quite sturdy machine, although I would have liked to have see some prop guards delivered with it (It doesn’t have any), as if the spinning blades were to hit your face they could do you some damage. However, despite me running into several walls during my attempts to initially fly it indoors (My front room is VERY small indeed), it did no damage to the wallpaper, and the drone itself also received no damage. It came fully assembled in the box, and with a spare set of propeller blades do, and a single charging cable. I would have liked to have seen either two charging cables, OR a split charging cable, as both the controller AND the drone have batteries that need charging via USB. Setting up and calibrating was very easy, although the calibrating method wasn’t clear in the manual. To calibrate is simply have the drone on the ground with camera facing AWAY from you, then pick it up from behind and holding it horizontally out in front of you, turn your body a complete 360 degree arc. Then keeping hold of the drone, hold it VERTICALLY so the belly is facing your belly, and again do a nice 360 degree arc, and you will see the lights stop flashing and change colour, and its calibrated. Nothing could be simpler really. Spare batteries are reasonably cheap, and I would advise getting a couple of spares, as drone flying is highly addictive. The camera, while not a massive amount of MP, is more than adequate for providing sharp and clear video and stills (Don’t forget to order an SD card). So, in conclusion, If you are just starting drone flying, or are wanting to upgrade from one of the more toy like drones to something a bit more capable, then the Holy Stone HS110G would be a fine choice. I must say I was apprehensive to start with, but once I got the drone outside onto a field, I could completely relax and enjoy myself, and now have a new hobby. So get one, and have some fun……

Great for a drone beginner like me!
Have been interested to invest in a drone for a while. I sail a bit so fancied the idea of videoing whilst out on the waves via follow me function. . Not got to that yet as realise I need to work out how to fly this thing! So as a novice ie not an expert, these are the things that appeal on the HS110G. It’s built and ready to fly straight out of the box, no assembly required. (charge handset and drone up first though) Spare rotor blades etc a nice touch.. Do remember to order a Micro SD card as well, you’ll need that to capture photos etcEasy link via QR to app – downloaded that to iphone and then followed the manual. Super easy to set up – pairing handset and phone with drone, calibrating compass and accessing GPS signal. the link for controls to drone work really well. The tricky bit is then getting your head around flying it. On the down side, 10 or so minutes flying – battery drains fast if you record video as I did, suspect 13 mins is feasible if you don’t. But that is frustrating as just as you get the hang of it, it’s 3 hrs to recharge, so consider an extra battery if you can stretch to that. It seems robust – I’ve crashed it about 3 times and nothing broken so far! On reflection I think I would go for the 120 with swivel camera: it enables you to hover but scan down to ground – the 110 has a fixed camera that only sees horizontally, so to get an aerial shot looking at ground you have to tilt the nose of the drone downward – minor point but a novices error. Looking for to playing with it again in 3 hrs 😉

Drohne mit schlechtem Material verarbeitet.Plastik zerkratzt sehr schnell.
