Great bit of kit
I ride a Honda Forza, which means I store the helmet below the seat, and with the camera fitted, it doesn’t fit, and although it’s removable, it means tugging and I thought if I did that the adhesive sticker wouldn’t be up to the job.The solution is to file the flat section of the clip so it loosens the fit just enough to allow it to slide in and out easily, without tugging. The pic with the paper clips show the ridge and two little pegs that needed filing. Sorted.I used the curved mounting block which is ideal for my helmet.Picture quality – First class. No complaints.Sound quality – It’s extremely noisy due to wind noise, but at traffic lights it’s perfect. Impossible to fix anyway.Battery life – Yeah, I’ve never had any problems.Water proof – I live in Northern Ireland. Need I say more?I hope I never need it as proof for an accident or road rage, but I’ve no doubt it would prove invaluable. For the record, I purchased in June 24 and it’s now March 25, and I’ve had no problems.

Top quality item .
Very good product . Easy to use and set up . Charging time is quick and battery life is excellent. Video quality is very good and clear . Design is well made and doesn’t look bulky on helmet .

Used on motorbike
Camera picture is good and battery life is great. Built in microphone noise is terrible, better to just disable it. The external mic is good but the connector is very delicate and failed despite careful handling.

18 Months & Battery Says ‘No More’.
Since purchase in 2022 the unit has operated relatively okay. I had to hardreset a few times, add tap to the inner cover to keep the SD card securely placed. Going over a bump seemed to unmount the card. Now month 22 and the battery has given up. Whilst charging / connected to a power bank the camera works fine. I use a road bike so this isn’t particle. Besides the unit has only been used on average 3 hours a week.Over the last couple of months I found the unit needing to charged after every ride. I thought my memory was going on the regularity of needing to charge. Oh I must have forgotten or it hasn’t been that long since I last charged.MOST IMPORTANT is that when checking files I found numerous files of 128k, other files being corrupted. After being in contact with Customer Services I am now being asked about the Amps that I use to charge and the settings of camera.Would I recommend…….at the moment no. If I can get a replacement battery then maybe but a newish product that was used less than average should not have these issuesKeep safe everyone andake sure your product is good. If it’s faulty not and you rely on it for evidence etc then there maybe an issue. My unit issues only came to light when I noticed the camera was off after collision, then a close pass etc.

I absolutely love this camera, for vlogging, esp as it has a separate mic input and ROTATEABLE lens
This was my first motorcycle camera and it’s perfect for use as a dashcam or with a separate microphone hooked up for moto-vlogging. The battery lasts for ages (at least 4-5 hours, possibly 6 on a good day) and the quality is very good, full HD. I have mounted it on the side of my LS2 lid and the killer feature is the rotate-able lens – this means you can get it set so that however angled it might be set on your helmet, you can rotate the lens so that the horizon is, well, horizontal, like it’s supposed to be. If I had the money I would possibly have bought the 4K version but then I think the battery doesn’t last quite as long as this monster battery (oh yes, it is quite a fat unit to accommodate the monster battery). But I’ve been using it now for about a year and I absolutely love it having used it several times a week every week in all weathers. It’s incredibly robust and just brilliant

Better run time than the GoPro mini
Very good so far the rotatable lens is a great help when mounting it on my handle bars just turn the lens to the upright position and away you go

Great little camera but….
OK, I’m still pretty new at using this camera, as it was purchased to replace my venerable Contour 1080P HD camera that after 12+ years of use, falls, knocks and at least 3 RTC’s (one of those at speed hitting a blooming deer on a bicycle!), so bare with me…First off, it was easy to fit to the lid with one of the (curved) adhesive pads, right in the centre so the fitting side was far easier than the Contour, so definitely a big tick in the positive box!Charging and initial use was again a doddle, though the lack of a decent manual is annoying, even for the navigation of the numerous setting screens…far less intuitive to set up than the Contour, which came with it’s own PC based app, though saying that, other than a “Hi” or “Lo” video quality setting (set by the PC app when connected) the Drift settings can be changed without the need of physically connecting it to a PC…so a tick in both the “Good” “Not so Good” boxes. So far the video quality is pretty damn good, even when compared to the Contour, though not too sure that the frame speed is quite as high as the previous camera…the focal length is not as good, I could read the number plates from at least twice the distance away with the Contour compared to the Drift when playing back the video on the PC when using QuickTime Pro; the same when stepping through frame by frame. So while great quality of video, if you want better details and from further away, the Contour was a better camera. The audio with the built in microphone that many others have complained about, is no worse than the Contour’s audio, to be honest for both of them anything beyond 4-5mph and the wind noise ensures that the recorded audio is next to useless….not quite fair you can hear sirens, horns and some road noise but that is about it, so a neutral point here. Now not too sure about the battery life/duration yet but it is far better than the Contour’s, though this could just be a brand new battery, which being built in ‘could’ be a pain to replace if/when it starts to age – so do have to be a bit neutral on this to a degree, it does mean I don’t carry 4+ spare batteries with me though a another tick in the “Good” box overall. Therefore after nearly 2 weeks of use, I’m pretty happy with the Drift Ghost but only time will tell…with my biggest gripe being no flipping manual, so I am halfway through writing my own…good practice for me as an engineer by profession!

Bei der Montage wird man im Stich gelassen. Es werden nur zwei Klebepads mitgeliefert…

â ï¸â ï¸â ï¸ BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK â ï¸â ï¸â ï¸tl;dr: My camera was plagued with a VERY COMMON problem of randomly freezing up after 5 months of use, and I’m now stuck with a worthless hunk of metal.Purchased in February 2024 to use as a helmet-mounted camera for potential accident/insurance claimpurposes (I ride a motorcycle, and the drivers here can be crazy). So my baseline requirement for this camera was reliability, as I did not want to be caught in an accident and realize that the camera was not recording.Spoiler alert: THIS CAMERA WAS ANYTHING BUT RELAIBLE.It was working great for the first 5 months or so, but it started suddenly and randomly freezing up while recording.I’d reach the end of a ride, only to realize that the camera had frozen and stopped recording (view attached video).I read on a few forums and community groups that this is a common issue (you can Google it), and tried the following:- resetting the camera (holding power button for >10 s)- hard-resetting the camera (pressing the recessed button beside the microsd card)- formatting microSD cardThe problem still recurred.I then reached out to the CS team, who to their credit did reply, but only after a few days each time. After asking for my camera settings and software version, they could not tell why my camera was acting up.They then asked me to try “a brand new Sandisc SD card”, which I then bought with my money despite me already using a 128gb Samsung class 10 U3 microSD card which had more than up-to-par specs. The problem still recurred.Using the camera became like playing Russian roulette, as it would freeze up and stop recording one out of every 3-4 rides.Utter rubbish. If you’re looking for a camera to record your rides (whether bicycle or motorcycle), I cannot recommend strongly enough that you LOOK ELSEWHERE than the Drift brand. My biggest regret was not doing more research into this brand before making the purchase, and I urge you to not make the same mistake.Search for the group called “Drift Innovation Action Cameras” on the blue social media platform, and you’d see that many others have faced this issue too, and mostly have not had any resolution. It’s honestly a travesty that the brand has been churning out new models with this same issue, and that customers like myself get duped into purchasing them.If this review convinces you to look elsewhere, or to simply do more research into how problematic this camera is, then my 20 minutes writing this review would have been worth it.
