I didnât expect these to be any good. Theyâre cheap so likely to be rubbish eh? – or so I thought. I wanted some open ear buds to use when cycling the local lanes around where I live so that I could hear music or sat nav instructions from my Velo 2 but still be able to hear traffic, bird noises, etc. also I wanted them to stay in place and not be tempted to fall out of my ears on the ride. These buds are perfect in both respects plus I really couldnât feel them on my ears. They do not provide the most amazing bass response but are still adequate for their purpose with excellent sound quality. I found myself happily singing my head off along to my Spotify play lists whilst still absolutely in control of my surroundings. I actually cycled more miles as I was thoroughly enjoying the experience.I cannot recommend them highly enough. Great item.

Very comfortable and long battery life
This type of open ear style was a first for me. I have never used this type of design before. But I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Below is my personal opinion re the true free 01 wireless outer ear, earphones.The packaging:-The device is presented in a nice premium box. It contains the true free 01 outer earphones in theor case. As well as the USB and manualsThe Case:-I must say I didn’t expect the Case to be a as big as this. It is a huge case in comparison to todays other in ear devices. However the case being huge is understandable since these arw outer ear devices and not the in ear type. The case is very well made and jas a sound premium feel to it. The materials used are very good and it feels solid in the hand. The case has a closing sound which has me hooked. The hinge mechanism is solid and it will last long. The inner part of the case is full gloss and looks nice with outer part of the case being a matt grey. There are battery LED indicator lights which make it easy to keep up with how much battery is left. Foe the size they dont seem ton weigh much. Maybe due do the case being constructed from ABS plastic is why. I compared the true free 01 case to my Mifo 05s. And the Mifo case was quite a bit heavier and about a quarter in size. Overall the case is nice, sturdy with a premium feel. But do be aware the case is not pocket friendly and wont fit in a jeans pocket. But carrying it in your bag, rucksack etc is just fine.Case Battery:-The case battery will last forever. It can charge the outer earphones fully at least 5 times from my experience. When I received the true free 01 the case battery was on 2 lights. I didn’t have to recharge the case for 12 days. The battery life ok the case is amazing.Outer earphones:-This design was a first for me. When I first took them out of the case i immediately figured out how these would go on and around my outer ear. The design is quite cool. They are weighted at bottom end so they stay in place on your ears. They are matt coloured with small LED indicator lights. Once placed on they don’t move and you can aue these for jogging, exercise etc. Without the worry of them falling off. The design is quite genius in my opinion. They may look as of they wont stay put during an exercise session but surprisingly they don’t shift. The true free 01 sit on the outer part of the ear canal. This makes it very comfortable to wear for long periods without ear pain. As they do not go into the ear canalSound:-This was a big surprise for me. I didn’t have much expectations on the sound being any good. But fortunately I was wrong. The sound is beautiful, crisp and clear. Even thought they sit on the outer canal of the ear, they sound immensely good. I times different types of music to test them. A bit of Michael Jackson, some R&B, dance music, classical songs such as Ben E. King. All of the music be it instrumental or vocals sounded so crisp and clear. But one thing to note is do not expect a bassy sound. These arw jot designed for that. But vocals, highs ans kows are brilliant for the true free 01s are made for. Even at full volume the sound did not distort. They arw loind enough for pwollw who just want clarity, clear and crsip sound. I also connected these to my smart TV. And I must say it was the best experience in watching TV without being disturbed for a long time. There was no lag and all the subtle background sounds in the movies could be heard. These are my go to for watching movies etc. I handed these to my son so he would test them on his games console. And he loved them. He said they were in his top 3 for using during obmije gaming. He said they were very comfortable, clear sound and he forgot he was wearing them after a while. I now have to buy him is own pair as he loves them so much.Outer ear Buds battery:-The battery on the true free 01 outer ear buds is awesome. The battery on first use out of the box lasted me 6.5 hours. After fully charging the Buds in the case. They lasted over 8 hours with heavy usage. This is amazing and, especially if you use them to watch TV and then use them to watch YouTube etc. They will last hours before a recharge is in order. Knowing that I can use the Buds for multiple purposes and not worry about battery life is a big plus.Misc:-I tested the outer ear Buds by lying down, with my head on a pillow. They were a little awkward due to the design. But i still managed to use them for a while. It juat depends what type of pillow your have and whether you have the patience to try and get your head in the major comfortable position. It can be done but is a little fiddly.Conclusion:-These are a must have at this price point. The sound clarity for music, TV, gaming. The comfort these provide without ear or head fatigue. The premium build and battery life. The True Free 01 outer ear Buds are an awesome piece of kit. And I recommend these to anyone who uses inner ear Buds to give them a try. You won’t be disappointed. Using the True Free 01s is an experience in of it’s own. I use them more than my other premium Buds.Score out of 5 – 4.8

Good sound quality, comfortable earbuds that let you hear environmental sounds
As someone who is deaf in one ear, I wanted to find earbuds that let me use just one on its own. The Truefree O1 Open-Ear Headphones are a practical solution. The earbuds can be used independently, allowing me to use just one while the other stays in the charging case. Because each earbud has two mics, I can still talk on calls using a single earbud. Friends say they can hear me fine.I use the headphones for outdoor activities like walking the dog while listening to podcasts or music. The open-ear design means that ambient sounds, such as birds and people, can still be heard. However, this feature makes them less suitable for use in noisy environments, like walking by a noisy road or commuting on a train, as they do not block external noise.In terms of sound quality, the Truefree O1 provides a reasonable audio experience. They are not as immersive as full on-ear headphones or in-ear buds, but the sound quality is still quite good. It can be a bit tricky to get the earbud in exactly the right position. There are touch controls on the earbuds but I turned these off because I was adjusting the volume every time I touched the earbud to adjust it. If you touch the earbud for 10 seconds, it powers off – this setting can’t be disabled. The app offers customization options for the touch controls and EQ presets. With the right EQ setting, the audio quality is pretty good.The Truefree O1 Open-Ear Headphones are a practical choice if you want to stay aware of your environment while listening to audio. This was my use case, plus with the ability to use a single earbud on its own, I’m happy with this purchase.

After trying the ways to repair/reboot the product, unfortunately the problem still persisted. Without hesitation they provided me with a brand new product free of charge (and postage). Nice design but build quality not great –
Better than the competition for a lot less money
If your like me, in ear buds irritate/hurt and over ear headphones get warm/uncomfortable then I highly recommend these. Initially I did think the sound was a bit bland but once I changed the EQ presentss on the app it’s very good especially as these perch over the ear instead of sit in slightly like the other similar over earbuds I’ve tried, I tried jlabs and JBLs version but the truefree ones win for me, I can hardly tell I’m wearing them, very light weight, well shaped and a lot cheaper than the rest. Also with the others I tried I had static noise in the background but these are crystal clear. I’ve had no issues with Bluetooth pairing, personally think they look nice, dont stick out too much and a secure fit. They seem well made and can’t see them snapping easily. I wish I tried these 1st!

I’ve been using these for just over a year now, and these are my unvarnished thoughts. I keep these beside my bed to use at night because I find the buds that you have to shove into your ear canal are too uncomfortable after 30 minutes or so. These hook over your ear and rest against the outside of your ear canal. They are so gentle it’s like wearing nothing at all. You can even rest the side of your face against your pillow with no discomfort. They are a dream for this purpose.They are hard plastic, which is all the more remarkable given how comfortable they are to wear. Like I said, you don’t have to shove them in and constantly readjust them. Battery life is great, I can get a couple weeks between charges. Oh yeah, they’re also USB C! Yay!Connectivity? Instant. I’ve had pricier top-brand headphones that don’t connect nearly as quickly. And in a year of use I have never had the connection drop.The touch controls, like on all brands, are a little finicky. I make sure to handle them so that I don’t bump them, and use my phone to adjust the volume.Now, I have not used these for anything involving rapid movement, like running or sports. I don’t think they’d be ideal for that purpose. Walking? Sure. Weightlifting? Absolutely. Yoga? YMMV.What else can I say? Be sure of what you need them for, and have realistic expectations. For me it was having a comfortable pair of earphones that I could fall asleep wearing. MIssion accomplished. For the price point, these are simply a stellar value. Recommended!

Rimangono aderenti all’orecchio senza inserirsi nel condotto uditivo e sono abbastanza leggere indossandole. I comandi utilizzabili tramite “tap” hanno varie funzioni, per es. Mettono in pausa, alzano e abbassano volume , cambiano canale TV.
