Very reliable and cured our door answering problem
When our front door was changed to a composite, the fitters replaced the wired doorbell but obviously messed it up. It had never worked since they left. Time and time again we were missing parcels/door knocks etc., so I bit the bullet and bought a refurbished Ring 4 from Amazon at a very good price.Fitting was really simple, connecting it to the app and our WiFi was easy, even our 5GHz band.I also bought a Ring Chip to be doubly sure of being able to answer the door.Both work a treat. Try and take advantage of a refurbished model; great value for money.I paid the full asking price for this Ring doorbell and have not been influenced in any way by the manufacturer to endorse the product.

Great Camera overall very good buy
Had to send one back as the voice on the camera didn’t work properly. To be fair they issued me a replacement camera immediately and its brilliant. Kids have anxiety and don’t like to answer the door which was one of the main reasons we purchased the camera. Obviously we got it to also keep an eye on the front door and the picture quality is fantastic, you can set up zones for parcels, turn off alerts when your are pottering about although I just leave it on. You can also set up a polite automated FO reply when jehovah witness call on a weekend. Purchased another battery so it never runs out. Next stop, more cameras to spy on my boxers doggies.

Good quality
Good battery life, bought as refurbished but looks brand new. Comes with a bracket to angle the doorbell if putting on side of wall. No problems in wind, rain or cold weather. Very happy. Bought with the chime pro but the signal is good, had no problems and easy to connect to the app on phone. Night vision is great too

NOT Mains Powered
Be aware, despite the description of being Hardwired, this does not mean it will run from Mains via a transformer. Hardwire applies to mechanical chime and battery trickle charge only. The battery will only last as long as any motion in front of the camera. So if you have a lot of passing traffic, the battery will run down quicker then the battery can be replenished by the trickle charge. Get a Pro 2 if you want to run from Mains.Ring Doorbell descriptions and product line is a mess and leads to many mistakes. They are either Hardwired or Battery, H or B. Couldn’t be easier. 1H, 2H, 3H. 1B, 2B, 3B and so on…

Fine when it works, nowhere to go when it doesn’t
I always think that the next time I deal with a companys customer service it couldn’t be worse than the last. Well done Ring, for proving that wrong. If the device malfunctions, you’re not covered by the insurance you’re forced to pay and they’ll tell you that the reason it’s not working has nothing to do with them. I have two Ring cameras that work perfectly in all weather conditions at all times of day, but this doorbell does not. The main issue is overnight and terrible picture quality. I know the device can work, because my neighbours in the same weather condition does. Ring has no complaints process, so their model is deny deny deny and you’re only left with more tiresome options which in the end they know you won’t bother with.

Trouble with the neighbours.
The neighbour upstairs has a tendency to do silly things (like stealing everyone’s mail) and for the longest time i couldn’t prove it until the day after I installed this on my door. To say court red handed is an understatement and police did the rest.
