For the current price this is very good
At the time of review in early June 2024, this UGREEN phone/camera tripod is listed at £20.99 (but the RRP is £23.99), which I think is great value for money. I have paid 5x this much for a full camera tripod before now, and yes you do generally get what you pay for, so I am a little forgiving about the main criticism of this UGREEN tripod which is when fully extended it is stable enough indoors, but might be a little unstable outdoors in a breezy condition. That said, when it isn’t fully extended it is very stable for indoor and outdoor use.I have tested this with a GoPro Hero12 and an iPhone 15 Pro. Pairing with the Bluetooth remote was straightforward with the iPhone (haven’t used it with the GoPro). What I like about this remote is that it also works with non-native camera apps such as Photon and not just the native Apple camera software. I have had other remotes that only work with the native software. The tripod is easy to set up, and considering how much it extends, is quite compact and easily fits in my backpack for when I am sightseeing etc. Other than the stability issues mentioned, this is a really great bit of kit when you consider the price, and therefore it is easy to recommend to you.

Great stand, useless remote!
The stand itself is well made, rugged & easy to use.However the Bluetooth shutter remote pairs,but refuses to work with my phone (Sony Xperia 1v).

Annoyingly clamp not quite deep enough for thicker phone cases, also remote isnt really “detachable”
This is a good product for the price if you have a small phone or a caseless phone or a basic thin case. The issue for me with this product (and unfortunately it’s a common one for phone holding tripods in this price range that I’ve tried) is that the holder is not deep enough for a thicker phone case. I have the Samsung Smart View case for my S24 Ultra which is quite thick and has a front cover you fold behind the phone when in use, but even without the front cover folded behind the phone the base of the case is still too thick for the holder, it won’t fit in the groove they’ve provided for the clamp/holder. The clamp does just about hold on but it’s not secure, any kind of slight knock or even gravity could make it pop out of the holder since the phone with case isn’t sitting inside the groove. I don’t know why all these tripod manufacturers always have such shallow clamps/holders when plenty of people have thicker phone cases and I’d prefer a product where I don’t have to take the phone out of the case. The case I have is not abnormally thick for an official Samsung line of products, and is relatively popular.Minor additional complaint, there’s actually no slot or storage on the tripod for the bluetooth remote. The “detachable” part of the description is misleading since it implies it sits in the tripod and you detach it when you want to use it, but that’s not the case, it’s just a seperate remote with a strap. The remote works OK and is a nice addition, but it’s a bit of a missed opportunity to not have some kind of basic storage/docking built into the tripod for the remote to make it more convenient to store, less likely to be lost, look neater, etc.

It holds my camera/phone securely, and I have no worries about stability.One of the best features is its versatility. By removing the bottom part, I can easily use it as a selfie stick, making it a great 2-in-1 tool for both photography and vlogging.If you’re looking for a sturdy, multi-purpose tripod that also works as a selfie stick, this is an excellent choice.
