Good for quick and simple CCTV
I already have the ring doorbell which works very well, and needed a camera, where I am unable to get power.The camera was really easy to set up, however it did take 5 attempts to connect to the wifi, even though I have the ring chime pro. I don’t know why, it just suddenly worked on the last attempt. The camera size is bigger than you would think, but the battery seems to last a really long time. It drains about 5 percent a week. It comes with one battery but you can purchase another, so that it would double the battery life, meaning you wouldn’t have to change it for a long time, perhaps over 8 months.Obviously if you are planning on putting this camera in a high place, changing the battery would be a pain, and I would suggest this is not the product for you. If however, for in a shed, or above a door, back garden etc, it would be an ideal camera, especially if you don’t want to run wires / power to it.I have read reviews where people say the wifi does not work through the house brick, but I have had no issues getting a connection through breeze blocks and stone combined.Like the ring doorbell, the video capture takes a few seconds to detect movement, so you don’t get the initial walk up to the camera, but also means it does not trigger on false alarms.The quality is very good, and I like the remote view and built in floodlight.Be aware that you have to subscribe to the Ring monthly subscription, which is currently £24 a year for one or £80 a year for unlimited.If you want to place a wireless good quality cctv camera someone, without the need to a digital recorder, and wires etc., this is a really great product.

Wenn man das Teil erst mal an der Wand hat – ohne es überhaupt angeschlossen zu haben – hat man das Gefühl, vor der Türe einer Geheimdienst Zentrale zu stehen. Und nicht vor seiner eigenen Haustüre. Was gut ist, denn so oder ähnlich wird es jedem potentiellen Einbrecher gehen, der es sich wohl zweimal überlegen wird, ob er da näher ran geht. Aber auch wenn die Kamera nicht zu sehen ist, so gibt sie einem die Möglichkeit, auch wenn man gar nicht zuhause ist – den Eindruck zu erwecken, dass man da wäre. Leute im eigenen Garten, jemand, der vor der eigenen Haustüre herumsteht und, und, und. Ausserdem kann man das Licht – zwei extrem (!) helle LED Streifen an den Seiten der Kamera – auch aus der Ferne aktivieren. Die Kamera ist zudem noch mit Infrarot LEDs ausgestattet, die es einem ermöglichen, auch in finsterster Nacht noch was zu sehen.Aber… Es gibt doch jedes Mal ein „Aber“… Viele „Rezensenten“ beschweren sich über die beschi***** Bildqualität und den schlechten Ton. Dabei sollten sie sich über die Qualität ihrer WLAN Netze auslassen. Die Kamera liefert immer ein gleichbleibend gutes, hoch aufgelöstes Bild. Was das heimische Netzwerk dann damit macht; das ist eine andere Frage. Beispiel: Sie bitten jemanden, ihnen eine Tüte Gummibären von der Tanke mitzubringen. Bis dieser jemand dann bei Ihnen ist, hat er die Tüte schon halb leer gefuttert… Auf wen sind Sie dann sauer?Falls Sie jetzt sagen „Auf den Hersteller der Gummibären, natürlich!“ können Sie aufhören zu lesen.Montage der Spotlight Lampe. Simpel. Und dank des mitgelieferten Montagematerials geradezu eine Freude. Ich meine – die Leute von Ring liefern ja nicht nur Schrauben und Dübel mit. Sie liefern sogar einen passenden Schraubendreher dazu. Und als Kirsche auf der Sahne – sogar einen passenden Bohrer. Allein das gibt den Leuten von Ring schon einen ersten Platz in Sachen Service. Jetzt aber der Anschluss selbst. Eigentlich schon fast langweilig. Man steckt den Akku in die Kamera, schliesst das Fach und – das war’s erst mal. Man sollte nur eines machen… Nämlich den Akku vorher aufladen. Ich wette, dass eine ganze Menge Leute den Akku aus der Packung nehmen, in die Kamera schieben und los geht’s! Und wenn die Kamera dann nach 12 Stunden (oder früher) die Grätsche macht, ist das Produkt schlecht, klar.Die Installation ist softwareseits extrem einfach. Das man sich vorher (Vorher. Nicht nachher…) die Ring App runterladen muss, sollte jedem klar sein. Aber auch da gibt es anscheinend Profis, die die Kamera schlecht bewerten, weil sie sich um’s Verrecken nicht mit dem heimischen WLAN verbindet… Und natürlich ist wieder das Produkt schuld. Und nicht die Dummheit der Benutzer. Was sonst. Auf jeden Fall ist die Installation mehr als simpel. Das Teil macht vollautomatisch ein Software Update und das war’s dann eigentlich schon.Jetzt zu den Einstellmöglichkeiten. Da gibt es eine ganze Menge. Wie weit reicht die Empfindlichkeit der Sensoren – man kann den Raum vor der Kamera in verschiedene Bereiche aufteilen, oder man einen Zeitraum festlegen innerhalb dessen die Lampen gar nicht reagieren. Unter Tags, zum Beispiel. Das spart Akku. Apropos Akku. Die Lampe hat zwei Fächer für Lithium-Ionen Akkus. Ein Akku wird mitgeliefert. Aber wenn man sich einen Zweiten dazu kaufen möchte, steht man alleine in der Wüste. Ich konnte auf Amazon keinen solchen Akku finden. Ich meine – wenn man schon Platz für zwei Akkus einbaut, sollte man die dann doch auch anbieten, oder? Das ist kein Grund, um einen Stern abzuziehen – aber viel Sinn macht es nicht.Zum Licht. Wenn das Ding angeht, wird es hell. Also richtig hell. Nicht nur ein bißchen LED Gefunzel, wie man das von den billigen China LEDs kennt. Trotz der Tatsache, dass das Teil „nur“ über Akku gespeist wird, reicht das Licht, um eine große und weite Fläche auszuleuchten. Was am Licht noch angenehm ist – es ist „Warmton“. Also mit einem größeren Rot bzw. Gelb Anteil. Im Gegenteil zu den neutralen oder „kaltweissen“ LEDs. Die sind dann derart bläulich, dass das Gras im Garten anfängt, Schwarz auszusehen. Subjektiv gesehen empfindet das menschliche Auge kalteweisses Licht als heller. Und tatsächlich reicht das „kalte“ Licht einen Tick weiter als der Warmton. Aber auf diese eineinhalb Meter Reichweite verzichte Ich gerne, wenn das Gras dann auch wie Gras aussieht.Fazit: Eine sehr gute Ergänzung zum „Ring“ System. Also die Doorbell 2 und der Chime Pro. Es macht ja auch Sinn, an seinen Wagen alle vier Räder zu schrauben. Es geht zwar irgendwie auch mit drei Reifen, aber mit vier… Deshalb hat das Teil auch meine Empfehlung und die volle Punktzahl.

On est bien sur un produit très marketté.L’application est ergonomique, et s’ouvre extrêmement vite (infiniment plus que l’appli Tydom de Deltadore par exemple)Après plusieurs heures de recharge de la batterie, l’allumage de la caméra, la détection sur l’appli, et la connexion au réseau wifi de ma box se font très aisément.1er liveview : connexion rapide, image fluide et de très bonne qualité. Belle surprise.Je n’ai plus qu’a tester la caméra à l’extérieur et décider de son implantation avec le liveview sur mon téléphone.L’angle de vue proposé est confortable et me permet de couvrir une zone de 20 mètres sur 10. Parfait pour moi.Après perçage et installation de la caméra, je n’ai plus qu’à tester son efficience en condition réelle.Des notifications sur mon téléphone a chaque passage dans la zone de la caméra. Accès rapide aux vidéos liées à chaque détection de mouvement.Et pour l’instant, aucune fausse alerte. Pas de détection farfelue comme j’ai pu le lire ça et là.Le spot lumineux produit une lumière blanc chaud douce et de bel effet.Bref, tous les doutes sont levés :- La connexion wifi va t’elle bien fonctionner à prêt de 10 mètres de ma box (d’un débit de 10 Mo environ) séparée par 2 murs ?Oui, sans problème.- Le niveau de la batterie va t’elle s’afficher sur l’appli ?Oui- L’image va t’elle être lisible de jour comme de nuit ?Oui, avec ou sans le spot.- Vais-je pouvoir allumer le spot à distance ?Oui, par une option dans le liveview- Vais-je pouvoir décider à la volée d’acriver ou désactiver la détection de mouvement.Oui.- Vais-je pouvoir choisir d’activer ou désactiver la sirène lorsque la détection est activée.Oui, par le liveviewJe n’ai pas encore testé l’an sirene.La seule question qui subsiste : vais-je m’abonner au plan de protection Ring ? Vraissemblablement car c’est la seul moyen de visionner les vidéos des alertes et pour la formule la plus cher (100€ par an), de combiner plusieurs produits Ring.Complètement satisfait de cet achat.
