Easy set up and great for multiple users
The digital calendar arrived in sturdy and substantial packaging and was very easy to set up. It’s fully controllable from the ecalendar app which you download to your phone. The only problem I had was with the QR code in the comprehensive instruction manual which took me to a site requesting account details and such like. Not happy with this I downloaded the app from the google play store and followed the set up instructions in the manual. I have to say the manual was comprehensive and easy to follow with numerous screen shots and written instructions. The set up and use of the device is quite intuitive and, apart from the QR code problem, I had no problems whatsoever. The functions can be accessed directly on the device screen or via the phone app where you can set up/invite other users with different levels of permission. Once set up I’ve found that the app and screen synchronize pretty much instantly for multiple users which is great if you have several people who need to view and/or update event details. It connects to your Wi-Fi network and can be updated, via the app, wherever you are as long as you have connectivity. The display is a good size, nice and clear, and you can scroll between views, i.e. by day, week or month. It’s also easy to scroll forward or back to view other days, weeks or months. It also has some good additional functionality, which I’m still exploring, such as to do tasks and shopping lists. It also operates, via the app, as a digital photo frame and photos are easily downloaded from your phones galleries. All in all I’ve found this a really useful device and a huge upgrade on a hand written wall calendar. It’s major benefit, at last for me, is the ability to invite other users and for it to be updated, straight away, from multiple locations.

Great for busy families
This has really helped our family stay on top of everything without constant reminders or sticky notes. The screen is bright and easy to read from across the room, and the touchscreen is very responsive. Syncing schedules through the app was simple, and it’s been great being able to update things from my phone while on the go. Weâve even started using it to share photos and little notes, which adds a nice personal touch. Itâs been a practical and surprisingly fun addition to our home.

Useful device to keep you family organised but pricey and some privacy concerns.
I’ve been using the HoziRes Digital Calendar for a while now, and it’s a well designed product, but it does come with some trade-offs. First, it’s worth noting that this device is mains powered, so itâs not exactly portable. Once youâve found a spot for it itâs probably going to stay there. Itâs also significantly thicker than a tablet, which might surprise some buyers expecting a sleeker, more minimalist design.Initial setup was quick and painless. Connecting to Wi-Fi and setting the time zone took a couple of minutes, and the interface is reasonably intuitive. The touchscreen is responsive, and the display quality is very goodâsharp, bright, and easy to read from across the room. It works well as a central household hub for managing daily schedules. One useful feature is that it can also function as a digital photo frame. This adds a nice personal touch when it’s not actively being used as a calendar. You can upload your own photos, and they look great on the screen, making the device feel a bit more versatile and worth the space it occupies. However, one issue that worries me is that to fully sync your iPhone or Gmail calendar, you’re asked to make your calendars public, which seems like a something of privacy risk to me. It is a several step process to get the sync working which whilst not rocket science isn’t totally quick and simple. You will need to download the app from your App store. If youâre comfortable with the security side then the ability to see everyoneâs plans in one place is very convenientâespecially for busy families. That said, if you already own a tablet (or tablets), this device might not offer enough added value to justify the price, which feels a bit steep. But for households looking for a dedicated digital family organizer and photo frame, it could be a worthwhile investment.

Showing wrong time on all my appointments
I would give 3.5* if I could⦠everything was straight forward although after everything was set up, the calendar changed the timings to an hour later. Now all my appointments are 1 hour later, even though I am on the right time zone. I really cannot be bothered to set it up again and donât even know what to do, as I followed all FAQs. I am pretty upset with this and if I cannot sort it, I will send it back.

Digital calendar
Although I’m a dedicated bullet journaler, I decided to give this electronic calendar/organiser a try. It comes with a detailed instruction booklet that helps make it easy to set up, both on this device and on your phone. The display is clear, bright and easy to read, and the calendar can be edited both on your phone and on the device. It has several other functions too, including a meal and chore planner, as well as a reward tracker. It stores photos too, and can be used as a digital photo frame when not needed as a calendar. The cable runs through the support for it, and it can be displayed either portrait or landscape. It can be connected to multiple devices for shared planning, and has colour-coded profiles, so everyone can be assigned their own colour and easily see what they’re doing. One minor irritation is that it doesn’t like you pressing/swiping too quickly between functions on your phone, and keeps telling me to slow down! Very clever with a lot of great features, but time will tell whether it replaces my trusty notebook and pen!
