This is a great light. I think some previous reviews relate to the earlier version which had no phone app. Itâs plenty bright, has menus for both white light and colours and does some party tricks too. Download the app, follow the prompts, switch on the lamp and it will flash until your app finds it. Note itâs Bluetooth only. No messy wifi or router setups.Satisfied customer.

These are great. From mood lights to party settings the app comes with plenty of options.Easy to set up with your WiFi and app sonyou can connect to the light bulb.The Lepro app has a lot of other bulbs listed so easy to expand once you have one setup.

Easy to install and operate out of the box.Will constantly flash until you have installed the app and paired it with your device via Bluetooth.Easy to change colour, set timers for on and off.Don’t switch light source to off position otherwise it cannot be overridden by the app and you lose Bluetooth comnection. The light source needs to be turned off via the app.If you lose connection due to turning off Bluetooth or the light source being turned off, reset the bulb by turning the light off for 10 seconds, then on and off constantly until the bulb starts to flash constantly again. You can then reset the connection via Bluetooth to your device and pair. The prior settings should remain, or are easy to redo if not.You can have more than one bulb added to the app, just name each bulb according to the light source, ie, floor lamp, living room main, table lamp, hallway main, etc.I like this bulb, really easy to use, love the fact I can set it to turn off and on, adjust the colour as well as the brightness etc.Recommend. Will be buying more.

A Really Good RGB Light Bulb
TLDR; A great RGB bulb that’s easy to use and set up, but does has small issuse that can hurt the user experience!While the light bulb is great and works well there is some things to take note of,1. It heavily favors red, green or blue so colours like light green, yellow or orange won’t stand out well.2. If your getting the wireless one make sure if your home WiFi is 2.4 Ghz or it won’t work (I’m using the Bluetooth one so it’s not applicable)3. Pearing it can be a hassle sometimes needing to switch the light switch multiple times to get it working.Other than the above issue it’s work the 10 or so Euros I payed for it and if your not too keen on the RGB feature of it, then it works really well as an energy efficient bulb with both a warm and cold light function that’s dimmable.

Crap – why do light bulbs need AI?
TL:DR: Want a basic bulb that can turn on and off over WiFi? Great, that’s this. Want it to be smart? Nope – that’s not this. It works and is bright with good colours but the app is absolutely rubbish and setup is difficult. Read on to find out more.They have gone way too over the top with this whole AI business. The app is useless, the only way to create effects is by talking to some ai and even then the effects it comes up with are crap. It’s kinda fun to mess about with for a bit, but it then becomes boring and frustrating when you just want it to be functional.Every time you change colours the brightness will change. Same with switching between whites and colour. Everything somehow involves this rubbish AI that I just don’t want or need. The app is poorly made and clunky. It is just all round bad.In terms of brightness, it’s great. Two of them fill a uni-sized flat nicely and the colours are nice and bright. The inclusion of CCT (cool to warm white) is a good inclusion and makes the light nice to look at as opposed to the harsh white made from the typical red green and blue LEDs.The bulb seems to have good build quilty and setup is easy (well read on for the full story). You have to create an account to use the app. Once you’ve done that it will automatically discover the bulbs currently turned on. They initially connect and register via Bluetooth to your device and can be controlled as such. If you want to take it a step further you can connect to WiFi. HOWEVER: this can only be done to a 2.4ghz network. It WILL NOT work on 5ghz. This must be disabled on your WiFi for these to work. Doing this will degrade performance for all other devices on your network. Another reason why this is a bad product. It just makes the experience *that* much more difficult and inconvenient.For those really into smart home like me – no it won’t work with home assistant. There is no integration for the lepro+ app (or should I call it a crAPP?) and the light bulb will not talk to any app other than lepro+. Might be possible to flash ESPHome to it, but that’s a tad beyond my skill set at this point. It is no good for those who like everything to be local and infinite customisation.
