7artisans Wide-Angle Lens
7artisans 9mm F5.6 Lens

7artisans Standard Lens

【Small Wide Angle】: 25mm is used for APS-C frame of about 37.5mm, and the viewing angle is about 68°. The humanistic perspective can add points to photos, and can accommodate more beautiful scenery shooting, such as travel scenery, environmental portraits and other subjects.
【Macro】: The minimum focusing distance of 7artisans 25mm lens is 0.18M. The large aperture creates a smaller depth of field, which can take a close-up of a certain part of the food, making the food more attractive, thus making the subject more prominent and giving the viewer a closer look. Strong visual experience.
【F1.8 Aperture】: 7artisans 25mm F1.8 lens increases the blurred background of the photo and highlights the subject of the photo. It can avoid the complex background around the photo and allow the focus of the photo to focus on the subject of the photo to create a better picture atmosphere.
【Full Metal Lens Design】: 7artisans lens uses aviation-grade materials to create a surface anodized process, which is beautiful and durable. Two-color matching allows users to choose more. You can choose between elegant silver and high-end black.
【Good After-Sales Service】:If you have any problems with the product, please feel free to contact us and we will solve your problem within 24 hours. In addition, we also have a one-year free warranty service.

Good basic prime for the small Fuji bodies
I like this slightly roomier than standard focal length and bought this until I could find/afford/justify an XF 27R, or risk the TT Artisan copy.Firstly, the 7Artisans lens has quirks that I’m not keen on.1) No clicks on the aperture ring.2) Aperture ring goes the opposite way to most.3) The focus stop is past infinity, the dof range numbers are purely decorative. This last one is the most important and caused me a bit of vexation. It appears to be a well known characteristic of many, possibly most, of the cheap lenses made in China. There are fixes on the internet which involve some degree of dismantling. No thanks. After a few days practising I don’t think surgery is necessary. Just ignore the stop when focussing on something distant. Unfortunately, at infinity type ranges peaking is not wholly reliable, focus will be somewhere in the peaking range but not throughout it. On a bright day it’s sometimes easier to switch peaking off, use the zoom button and focus by eye.A little bit of practice and some mild swearing is all that’s required. Note this is only an issue at infinity, focussing is fine at close and medium range and peaking works perfectly. That having been said this is a great little lens, sharp and with a character part way between vintage and modern. Colour is very pleasing and decently vibrant on the Fuji 24 and 26mp sensors. Out of the sun the “pop” you get from a Fuji lens is missing but colours are still rendered properly. I have some 30/40 year old Olympus lenses and this is similar but with better contrast and sharpness at the edges.F1.8 is as wide as I’d want to go, and if you are a blur fan its very easy to obtain. Close focus is pretty good too, I measured about 19cm from the end of the lens. So, I’m glad I persevered with this little lens, there were moments, believe me, but I’m a fan now. 4.5 stars is what I’d give it but, hey, it’s no money, I can afford to be generous!

Impressive quality for the price
I always use Micro4/3 camera bodies, so when I choose a lens I know there will a visual doubling of the lens length in the resulting images (due to the camera’s correspondingly smaller sensor size). So for 50mm-looking result I need a 25mm lens. There are a few out there but not that many with fast apertures (less than f/2). Of the available lenses they seem to fall into either a £1000 pro class or a £100 amateur class with little in between. This is frustrating for us non-professionals who want a very good quality result and a fast aperture. So I was hesitant to purchase the 7artisans 25mm F1.8 Manual lens. At about £80 how good could it be? Now be warned this lens has zero electronics — it’s fully manual and mechanical. As far as your digital camera knows there is “no lens” attached! So you’ll need to be happy with manual everything, including focus. Knowing that I gave it a try for a couple days. I was happily surprised at the high quality of the images. I have attached a few sample images, un-retouched, straight out of the camera. I used my least-capable camera body for all of these (an ancient Lumix DMC-G1, only able to muster 12MP photos). I’m not a professional, and so I don’t need massive image resolutions with clinical sharpness; otherwise I’d have bought a lens priced closer to £1500. But for someone snapping for Instagram this is a more than capable lens. I like the bokeh, the sharpness is good, and the wide aperture means I can get good results in even very dull lighting. The quality of the lens feels and looks more expensive than it is. The aperture and focus rings turn smoothly and with a nice feel. Be aware that the aperture ring does not click, it turns smoothly across all the possible values from f/1.8 to f/16. You might like that if you plan to use this lens for video; personally, as a still photo shooter, I wish it clicked so I could adjust it without looking and mentally keep track of which setting it was on whilst looking through the viewfinder. Maybe somebody could make a lens that can switch back and forth from a clicky aperture to a non-clicky one? (attn lens makers!) In summary I was very dubious about this lens at first, but it is quickly becoming a favourite in my small collection. I would definitely recommend this to any amateur snappers looking for 50mm results in a Micro4/3 camera and happy to use a fully manual lens.

Great lens, but not perfect
I bought this lens to use on my A6000 and generally I think it’s very impressive for the price. It’s sharp, especially at the centre and produces some nice colours. I’m really enjoying the creative possibilities of the narrow depth of field that the wide aperture allows. It does suffer with very bad vignetting though, so it’s necessary to either allow enough space around the photo to allow it to be cropped out or to use appropriate software like Lightroom to correct it.

Great lens and quite sharp
Nothing negative to say ,its a cheap lens with nice image quality, with great build quality, and great valueBeen a manual lens helps you slow down and with image peaking its a breeze to use, i use this with my Fuji XT1 with no problems what so ever, highly recommend this lens

You might actually like it
Canât really complain for the money. Donât expect biting image quality. Solid enough. Iâm using it on an almost 1inch sensor. So is almost 100mm equivalent. Focusing is rather difficult because of this. Focus also has a strange habit of moving. Even when you ar not touching it. And the clickless aperture takes a bit of getting used to. Go for the black. Sun reflected from the silver one can take your eyes out. Iâm actually enjoying using it though. Makes my special custom camera look well weird !
