***DONT WASTE YR MONEY ON ANYTHING ELSE
***DONT WASTE YR MONEY ON ANYTHING ELSE!!!*** This is a good bit of kit & for under 30 quid!! WOW!! I have seen & used things 3 times the price of this!! DONT WASTE YR MONEY BUYING ANYTHING ELSE!! This seems to be a well made item fit for the job holding my Nikon D3100 with 18-55 lens with no problems or issues at all, i now have professional looking smooth fluid video clips which look amazing!! NO SHAKE NO WOBBLE!!! I LOVE IT!!…..Now…If your new to using steadycams it takes time patience & a little practice so dont think you can just “Put yr camera on and go”, you cant!! The steadycam will need light fine adjustments here & there so the camera sits “True” but once set up you should have no problems, then its just a case of practice & getting used to how it works but once mastered you will never look back!!!…….HIGHLY RECOMENDED ITEM….

Camera counterbalance
Quite large so a bit of a lump to carry around but once adjusted for your own camera seems to work well⦠some of the screws a bit fiddly to adjust

Good little starter for lightweight movie makers.
Having seen a few good looking YouTube videos, I got this as a low-risk toe dip into cheap camera stabilisers.Without massively going into what has already been discussed in other reviews, it comes well packaged in foam inserts, feels fairly well made, the anodising looks ok, and so on.I spent a few minutes trying to balance a Lumix G6 with 14/140 lens, not particularly heavy, but near the top end of it’s upper limit. Got a lot of boat sway, watched a few YouTube videos, and I found that I got the best results by trying to line up the camera thread with the gimbal thread positions as much as possible.I still get some sway, (this is also evident on YouTube), but it IS still hugely better than hand holding with OIS on. I think It really boils down to practice and patience to get the best results with these. The gimbal has a free spinning collar, however this appears to have a little too much lateral play and can shift a little when using, occasionally causing a small bump/click when shifting position. This made me thing that the bearing was rough, however holding the collar wth my finger stopped this movement and the gimbal was perfectly smooth.Overall I have to say that, it’s not perfect, and it’s fiddly to set up, but the potential is there to have fun with this and definitely worth having a play with even if you only having a passing interest in video, it may inspire you to have a go at those smooth tracking shots that look so good.Update : Didn’t even get a chance to use it beyond testing – the collar mentioned previously, separated completely from the handle. Afunta UK’s response was to tell me to post it to China at my own expense or buy another one for half price with a code they’d send me. Star rating updated to reflect. I’m just glad this didn’t happen when my camera was attached.

Good but not great
This camera stabliliser is good for beginner hobbyists with a point and shoot or small bridge camera, it Balence’s brilliantly with small point and shoot cameras, the slim design is thin but heavy enough to Balence the camera on the top, I have a Nikon d5200 which didn’t work well with it, you just seem to have problems balancing a dslr like the one shown in the picture because the options for where the handle goes and where the camera fasteners onto don’t compensate well for each other, the screw which fastens the camera to the mount is too long so I had to put some foam I had to get a tight grip otherwise the camera will fall to the side and will put the whole thing off Balence. A bridge camera works okay with it but I did run into the same problems I had with my dslr however they weren’t as bad due to the bridge cam being lighter. My best experience was with my small point and shoot and my s6 edge because they were lighter than the weights at the bottom which helped a lot and they didn’t fall. The quality of the film produced is really smooth but the cameras do start to ‘wander’ to the left or right and not at what I’m filming, I fixed this by tightening the handle but then I had a little juddering afterwards. Overall I would reccomend this to someone who can control this with two hands rarther than having to carry something in the others it you are able to keep the camera facing foreward while filming, there is absolutely no juddering when walking, running, cycling, skateboarding etc… 3 stars

Shaky hands when shooting with your DSLR or action camera?
he Professional Steady Video Stabilizer is designed for use with camcorders, DSLRs, HD DSLRs, etc. It provides excellent stability and reduces camera vibration during video recording, assuring high-quality, clear videos. Its aluminum alloy construction provides and solid and durable build-quality for long-lasting reliability. It also features a rubberized, non-slip mounting surface so your camera attaches securely; and a rubber-covered hand grip for comfortable shooting. It is the most affordable full-featured stabilizer on the market.I tried out the Afunta Pro Handheld Stabilizer with my iON Air Pro action camera. While there are other professional glidecams and steadycams out there, the Afunta with its low price tag will take your videos to the next level without breaking the bank!

Cheap and difficult to use
I knew this was a cheap product and wanted to have a play to see if it’s worth investing a more substantial amount into a stabiliser. My biggest gripe is the gimble which doesn’t give you a real full rotation, more like 180 degrees. Imagine the ball is in like a T shaped socket, so if you move two far either side it hits a limit.Super difficult to balance my DSLR on it, however I had some more success with my GoPro

This stabilizer is pretty good considering the affordability of it. Didn’t need any grease on the “ball joint” as other commenters have stated and mine did not break after a few days of use. Overall I’m quite happy with this product.

I’ve had this for about a week now and I really like it. I was going to build a “DIY” mount similar to this, but when I found this for the price, I decided to simply purchase rather than do DIY, for the simple fact that the cost for parts to build would be almost as much to buy, and that this is more portable and probably more durable than the DIY plans I had.I shoot HD video mostly outdoors for a Youtube channel. It takes a little time to set up, but once it’s set up and you get to know how it works, it works quite well. I took mine out and shot a couple hours of practice footage before using it on an actual shoot. I can see where some of the more expensive styles of gimbal type steady cam mounts would be more ideal, but this is more than satisfactory for the price. One thing everyone seems to think though, is that you’re going to go out and instantly shoot cinema-quality footage in five minutes’ time. It doesn’t work that way. This is a tool, and you have to learn how to balance it properly (there are TONS of YT videos showing you how to do just that) and you need to learn how to fly it properly (again, TONS of YT videos showing you the technique). It’s a bit of an art form and it has to be learned, so if you want instant gratification, then this tool and shooting quality video just isn’t for you. If you’re willing to take a few hours to learn how to balance your cam properly and practice the proper technique to use it, then this is a great steady cam tool for the price.
