Great value for money Home Security cameras without needing a Subscription
I decided to buy some internal Blink cameras to accompany my outdoor cameras that I have been very happy with (to date). Noticed that these were in sale at a good price for a twin pack, so purchased them along with a Pan & Tilt Mini Camera as well.Delivered by Amazon in less than 24 hours from ordering (got to love Prime Next Day delivery!). Once delivered & opened the packaging, all 3 (including Pan & Tilt Camera Kit) cameras were installed on the App & working fine. One thing I did notice though compared to the Outdoor Cameras was that the responsiveness of the camera sensor & circuitry in sending the video signal to the Sync Module & then to my phone had a delay of about 2 seconds compared to no noticeable delay on the Outdoor cameras. i donât know if the Mini cameras use different circuitry internally than the Outdoor cameras or not but all 3 Miniâs are the same where as both Externalâs have no lag at all even though they are outdoors & further away from the Sync Module. even with this minor issue, I am still more than happy with them, and anyone that says it takes a long time to setup the cameras, then that is User Error entirely. There is a QR code under the box lid that runs you through the installation (should you need instructions), but once the Blink Home Monitor app is installed on your device/s, it literally is a process of clicking the â+â button in top corner & following the prompts for scanning the QR code on the back of each camera, choosing your WiFi network (has to be 2.4GHz), entering your WiFi password & then letting the cameras update the firmware. Once Firmware is updated, then everything is all set & ready for you to make any changes in the app for camera name or personal preferences in the settings. If I had to have any downside to the cameras, it would be that the Micro USB cable supplied with the cameras is too short if you wish to mount them on an internal wall towards ceiling height (this is easily done by removing the inner base & then screwing the inner base ring to the wall & reaffixing the main base) to reach a standard height mains plug socket. A 3m (or even 2.5m) cable would have been the perfect length as 2M means it is 6â or so too short to plug into the bottom edge of the adaptor! Trying to find longer black official Blink cables is not easy either as lots of run of the mill Micro USB cables are displayed when searching for Blink cables that do not have the correct shape moulding around the Micro USB plug which means that there is much more movement available to the plug & Micro USB plugs are the weakest of all the different USB designs & could lead to very easy breakages (which is why the Blink plugs have the geometric shaped plastic to fit perfectly into the camera so any chance of cable or socket damage through movement/accidental snagging is minimised).

Handy lil cam for keeping an eye on my doggo ð¶
Got the Blink Mini mainly to keep track of my doggo when Iâm out for a bit, and honestly, it does the job just fine. Itâs not packed with a ton of fancy features or anything, but for basic stuff like checking in now and then, it works great.Setup was easy enough (even for someone like me who hates dealing with tech stuff), and the video quality is pretty decent for what it is. Night vision works okay too â I can still see my furball lounging on the couch like he owns the place.Wouldnât call it high-end or anything, but for the price? Solid. Just donât expect magic. Itâs simple, works, and gives peace of mind. Thatâs all I needed.

Lasts a year or so
Worked nicely for a year or so. It then suddenly decided to stop working, and fails to connect to the server stating that the WiFi password is incorrect (which it isn’t). Customer services are just sending standard boilerplate text, and wants to throw the ball in the Internet provider’s court, ignoring the fact that all other smart devices are working well!A simple Google search will show you that this is a common issue and customer services don’t follow up on fixing this, so you’re basically paying for a few months and not a long term investment. You also need to take into account that this is not a cheap investment, as you’re also paying monthly subscriptions.Update: A Blink customer rep got in touch after writing this review and sent a new one free of charge, which is working nicely. I’ve updated the rating to 4 stars to reflect this.

For the price point, a fab little indoor camera
I’m enjoying my little camera – probably chaep and cheerful, but it’s doing the job I needed it for currently… by doorbell is somewhat sporadic as it is on a gate 2-3 metres from the house, and as I work from home and send out a lot of items each day, and I have been missing my courier drivers as they ring the bell (not working) or knock on the gate (6ft high and can’t hear that in the house!) and then assume no one around and leave… even though the gate opens, should they wish to try it!! I have this Blink looking out of the window that overlooks where they arrive and detecting the motion I’m able to know when there is someone out there. It works really quite well. I do find that on occasions throughout the day it ceases up and is hard to get in to the live view, not sure why this is, but it will eventually free itself. I like that you can set the senstivity, otherwise it’s forever triggering if the washing is swaying in the wind! I have to turn the night vision off, otherwise I cannot see a thing through the window at night, but without that on it works just fine. For the price point, despite its few small niggles, I think it’s a fab little thing. The app is good, and I can view through my small echo show. Super easy to set up. Small enough to place in a time space and fit without looking out of place. Sturdy enough to withstand falling ocassionally (if the little suctioned shelf on my window falls). The cable is a reasonable length, but not quite long enough for where i have this placed, so I did purchase a longer cable.

Ok but not the best
Quality is good, however itâs useless without paid subscription! You can only watch live feeds but no recordâ¦Recommend- Yes if you happy to pay subscription otherwise No.
