Sturdy and easy to fit
This item is an excellent and attractive addition to most porches. There are only two criticisms which are firstly, it works at its best if mounted on a wall directly facing the direction of approach. Mine, being mounted at 90° to the approach, doesn’t react until someone is in the porch. The motion sensor cannot be rotated. Secondly, its activation setting detects activity, turning on the lamp, while the daylight is still quite bright – not even twilight, let alone dusk. Ditto at dawn (and sometimes during a cloudy day). But for these two things (particularly the latter), I would have given it 5 stars.Having said all that, the wall light is sturdy and well constructed, with a pleasing presentation. It is easy to mount on a wall and, particularly, the generous wiring tails permit straightforward and easy connection to the power supply; if only other manufacturers’ devices were so well thought out. The light is supplied complete with a LED bulb, with Edison Screw fitting, rather than the UK bayonet cap, but this is not a problem as ES lamps are available in the UK. Interestingly, this is not just any old LED bulb, but a traditional saw-tooth LED filament clear bulb, that looks attractive when activated, giving a ‘warm white’ light. Definitely worth buying, although I bought it at a lot less than the 4 Dec 2024 price!

This is cool …I use it as an outside porch lightI use Auto+ setting but supplied bulb was too bright for me when dimmed so use these bulbs which give softer dimmer lightLuxvista E27 LED Golf Ball Light Bulb DimmableRecommended

writing this review as on purchasing the information was not available.firstly the positives.. its a smart looking metal case , and the light it gives off is suitable to my needs.my biggest problem however is its IP rating .the box is officially stating IP23. there is no backing plate to this light so all wires are exposed to the rear of unit where the smallest of connection box is to connect power source to.the lamp also is not enclosed underneath so inevitably insects etc no doubt will take up home in time.i nearly returned on these points alone but liked the look so much i thought id try but given the price it is a gamble as to how long they last.i personally used silicone to seal connection points behind plate and also around the case which fits to wall.if your mounting surface is not flat i,d say avoid..time will tell for me

Poor PIR/sensor quality
Questionable quality of PIR/motion sensor – it burned out within 6 months of use. Light can work manually with switching on/off afterwards though. Just not good enough quality

I replaced a 20 year old light fixture at the front of my house with this and had no issues! It was simple to install and looks so pretty. The included light is very bright, which I donât mind. The dusk til dawn sensor works perfectly. Reminder- this is not a proximity sensor.

This light was very easy to install with only basic knowledge though the instructions were sparse. The smaller size perfectly fit and the dawn to dusk feature will save energy. This really updates the look of my porch and makes it bright, safe, and welcoming.
