J151-1201250BX15W for Echo Power Supply Black, Replacement for Echo Dot (3rd / 4th / 5th) Gen Dot with Clock Dot Kids Edition Show 5 (1st & 2nd Gen)I tried this replacement PSU on two Echo dots gen3, one grey and one white fabric.The Dots booted up and worked OK, but in both dots, the plug was a bit loose in the socket – looser than the original PSU plug. I don’t know it was just a one-off.

Works perfectly as a replacement 3rd gen replacement psu
Plug it in – it works. Hard to say more. The cable it 1.4m long, and construction is good. After leaving it plugged for a week or so now the PSU itself is barely warm to touch, so no concerns over safety.The only thing I will say – and it should be obvious – is that this replacement is a different shape to the OEM power supply. I’ve seen some Echo holders and adapters that rely on the PSU being the original as they clip on, or shroud the PSU to keep things neat and out of view. If you’ve got one of those, this won’t fit.
