Maclean MCE25 Motion Detector
This motion sensor is the perfect solution for automatically controlling lighting and other electrical devices with power up to 1200W (resistive load) or 300W (inductive load). It is suitable for numerous indoor and outdoor applications, such as in gardens, around the house, on patios, at gates, in passageways, hallways, basements, warehouses, and garages. The sensor is IP44 rated and resistant to rain from all directions.
Adjustment options:
The sensor has several settings for individual adjustment. The TIME knob allows you to set the illumination duration from approximately 10 seconds to 7 minutes. The LUX knob adjusts the light sensitivity and can be set from 3 to 2000 LUX, depending on the ambient light. You can set the knob to the day or night position for operation in a wide range of lighting conditions.
Detection range up to 12 meters:
The sensor offers flexible range adjustment via the SENS button. This allows you to set the maximum detection range from 5 to 12 meters, depending on the room size and the sensor’s location. For very large rooms, we recommend selecting the maximum range of 12 meters to ensure comprehensive coverage. In addition to lighting, other devices such as electric heaters or air conditioners can also be connected.
180-degree detection angle:
With a 180-degree detection angle, the sensor covers a wide area and detects movement from virtually any direction. This enables comprehensive monitoring and automatic control of lighting or other connected devices. Ideal for illuminating facades, entrances, parking lots, billboards, and many other applications, both indoors and outdoors.

Neat, easy and clear wiring info, reasonable price, if durable
A neat looking pir sensor in grey. Seems well enough made for the reasonable price of £8.95.Used this to replace the original inbuilt pir in our outdoor lights, so was able to avoid throwing the whole light unit into landfill for the sake of failed electronics.Simple and well explained 3 wire connection. Fairly clear controls for Lux, Duration settings. This unit also has a helpful sensitivity adjustment which could help with false trigger issues. This might save lights going on and off at night due to minor movement issues.We hope that the unit is durable, but one can only tell with time, but if it functions for 5-10 years as the last ones have, at the price it would seem an ok buy

Not very waterproof
Cheap but always lets water in. Add a bit of silicone to seal the cover helps a fair bit

Well made and does the job perfectly
Simple installation with just three wires to connect to the internal connection block. Seems sturdy and well made, working perfectly at the moment. Great to have a sensitivity dial which when set low will pick up body movement but not plants moving in the wind (before this replacement my lights were going on and off all night on a windy night) Also has a lux dial to set light level at which it will switch lights on and a time dial so lights will stay on anywhere from 10 secs to 7 mins.

Too small for the wires
Because of the number of wires to go into this fitting, I canât then fit the cover properly. Water does get in and puddles, then stops it working till I drain it off again!!! Very small opening for wires. Tried silicone and tape and water still gets in. This is my second one, but no different.

Not fitted yet but write up says ip44 instructions say ip 20 so use your own judgment as to it’s suitably don’t fit out side

Lo compré con dudas pero lo tengo instalado en mi garaje y funciona de maravilla. Me costó un par de dÃas ajustar la detección de movimiento y el tiempo que están las luces encendidas porque tenia que esperar a que fuese de noche. Bueno, el tiempo de encendido lo ajusté de dia, simplemente puse a cero la sensibilidad nocturna y ajuste poco a poco el tiempo de encendido

La résistance aux conditions extérieures IP44 semble bien affichée et la construction avec collage de la fenêtre semble un bon signe.Pourtant l’utilisation en extérieur n’est pas clairement indiquée et “Rufus”, le robot maison, la récuse.Sur un autre site exotique un appareil de même aspect même dimensions et mêmes caractéristiques fonctionnelles est classé IP65.J’espère que ce détecteur n’a pas été conçu avec de l’IA.
