I originally had a bit of a bad experience with the camera and gave it 1*; however, given the interventions of their customer service team, I am happy to upgrade my rating to a 4*.I would have given this camera a 5* rating if it allowed for pre-set angles / positions, so that it could be used to scan pre-determined areas within its rotational view.Ultimately, as a PTZ CCTV camera, the quality of the image is good, the packaging robust enough, the versatility with the solar panel independent power supply and the user interface being easy to install and apply, the unit is a great choice for the price. I also noticed that they changed the lens type with the replacement unit I received, and the added benefit is the new single-state wide angle view, meaning that an area of 100sqm or more is easily covered in one stationary position. The only draw back is that the blind spot under the camera would accommodate someone hugging the wall and avoiding detection.All cameras have blind spots, but with the addition of PIR security flood lights, angles of approach become less accommodating. The added use of preset viewing angles would mean that with the touch of a button, the camera could pan to a blind spot, without the need for individual adjustment which can cause issues of overshoot when there is a signal lag.All-in-all, and primarily thanks to the customer services team that assisted me with my initial issues with the faulty unit, I give this seller 5* for customer service and the camera unit itself 4* – only due to the lack of preset functionality. If this seller releases a unit with presets, I’d probably be a repeat customer. If they threw on some integrated flood lights, with presets, and solar, then I’d definitely see myself as a repeat customer.The customer services agent who dealt with my issue deserves a raise and/or a bonus for her tremendous due care and attention. I am mindful I cannot mention names, but the initial K will have to suffice. Thank you.

On the whole good but has a bug destroying TFT memory cards
On the whole the camera is very good and it comes with all the necessary fittings. The security of the camera fittings is the best I have seen; unlike others, one would need quite a bit of force to yank this one off the wall. Could do with smaller screw heads; current size requires precision fitting of the 2 lower screws.Like all cameras, I have found the SD picture quality to be good and clear; so for me, HD or FHD is not needed.Unlike other cameras, it does not automatically keep a recording of all motion sensed. For it to record, one needs to turn on the âarmingâ feature. Unlike my other cameras which record for the set number of seconds from the last motion sensed, this camera runs the set number of seconds from the first motion sensed. Unlike my other cameras which do not record whilst I am live viewing, this one does (I canât see a way of this off).Like all cameras, it has a smart light feature (turned on by the motion sensor if enabled). Like all cameras, I find this feature only good for finding my key to the door at night. The light feature causes a hazy effect on the face making it difficult to recognise the person on the video.Like all cameras, it has an alarm. I find that alarms have very limited use; only useful for frightening dogs (cats ignore the siren). It might be better if the alarm can be turned into a recorded announcement (I would put âhello, can I help youâ on mine).The cable attached to the Solar Panel is about 2.8m cable and is slightly shorter than stated. Ideally I would like about 4m. Unfortunately, the connectors are of a type for which I have not been able to find an extension cable.Ubox is the Android App to control this camera. Unfortunately, it is not as feature rich as the Apps used by my other cameras. If notification is turned on, the Ubox app continues to run on the mobile (in other words, the mobile has to stay connected to receive notification).Ubox defaults to Cloud Storage even if the Cloud Storage feature is turned off. It wasnât obvious to me that the storage retrieval icon toggles between Cloud Storage feature and micro SD card Storage feature.Unlike other solar cameras, it can use up quite a bit of battery power overnight depending on the number of triggers received. My other cameras use 75% less power. My panel is placed on an east facing wall overshadowed by a three storey building and it charges up around 20% on a November sunny day which is about the same as my other cameras. On a dull day, the battery depletes by around 15%. It has completely depleted twice following several continuous dull days followed where live views were temporarily unavailable. Each time the battery depleted, it wiped the TFT cards (micro SD) and render them completely unusable.If you ask me whether I would buy this camera again, the answer is yes but only if the Android App is better and the issue with destroying TFT cards resolved.Updated: Their customer service contacted me suggesting that there may be a quirk with the camera and sent me a replacement. I have not tested the new camera to see whether the TFT card issue is indeed a quirk.

Buyer Beware. You’re more likely to win the lottery than get a refund
These are good security cameras when they work BUT, if something does go wrong trying to get a refund out of the Chinese parent company is like trying to get blood out of a stone. Their customer care responds but constantly seeks new information rather than accept proof of purchase. I have been trying to return a camera for months and its been intensely frustrating. Buyer beware.

Excellent camera for property surviellance & safety use. I’m in Northern Ontario and this camera works well in our harsh Winter conditions and severe cold.The solar panel also works well in charging the unit when the sun is out. The charge on the batteries last for quite a few days, should there be no sun.You can also attach an external battery pack for charging on dull days. This would relieve you from removing the camera from the mounting spot to charge.The night vision is excellent. The picture colour & quality is excellent, even at the SD setting. The video quality and frame rate are excellent as well.It requires the UBOX app to work properly and give you all the motion detection, Intercom, zoom features etc. The app also allows you to add additional cameras.You will need a micro SD card for storage of your photo & video files, or you will ahve to purchase cloud storage.The only feature the camera doesn’t have is tracking of any subject. If it had this then the camera would be perfect.I recommend this camera. I have 2 and they are both still working well..UPDATE.Customer Service is excellent forthis product.Shortly after purchase, I received an email from Kiki offering meFREE SD card(s) or FREE 360 day Cloud Service(s).Kiki also registered each camera for a FREE 3 year warranty! Very impressed
