Not stainless – corroded on first use in saltwater
The bolt on the pivoting mechanism isn’t stainless so the first encounter it had with saltwater near enough destroyed the bolt. It was still intact but badly corroded and seized, difficult to remove and i wouldn’t trust putting it back in again.The plastic housing around the bolt traps the water/salt inside so even if you give it a good rinse afterwards, you’re not going to get it all out without dismantling it after each trip, and that would only buy it time anyway.Had to get the caliper out and measure the length, dia, and heads, and dig around online to find replacement stainless steel bolts and nuts, which is not only a lot of faffing around but also as you can only buy them in minimum packs of 20, is not cheap.Can’t believe a device designed to be waterproof doesn’t use stainless steel.Even in freshwater it would succumb to corrosion eventually, just take a bit longer than saltwater.

Ho acquistato questo articolo in sostituzione della custodia originale della mia action cam che si è rotta dopo 3 anni a causa dell’usura . Ero un po’ dubbioso ma considerato il prezzo non ho esitato ad acquistarla. Dopo un breve test ne ho ordinato una seconda.
