It’s a brilliant garden water timer
No leaks, very easy to set (I mean really easy!), logical, clear display and as many as 8 on/off times which is a lot more than some other more expensive models from other makers.I had this set up in no time, and I love it. Waterproof, with an easy to fit cover that just screws over the top. Batteries easy to change. I decided to route my device into our garage, as you can see from my picture. This is for extra weather proofing, though I still won’t be able to use it all year round, as it needs a minimum of 5 degrees C to operate, and our garage can drop below that. I still wanted to afford it full weather proofing, so went the extra mile to install it indoors.I’ve also attached (see my photo) a water meter, so the Aqualin timer comes on and passes through the meter as well. All in all, a great combo!If I had just one wish, it would be that it would operate lower than 5 degrees. But I can see that it is sensitive to cold, and I’m sure most devices of this type would be similar in this regard. I love it and am very happy with it. Also terrific value.**UPDATE** : I’ve now stuffed good insulating material into my enclosures, and packed it tight, as well as a “wrapper” of same over the top. Now I can use the water time all through the year, from within a dry garage, and keep my pond topped up automatically all year round. Perfect solution, and this gets round the “minimum 5 degrees” issue.

Good, but be wary of the timer
Once programming is mastered this is very good. Well constructed with good flexibility with the timer, and there lies the issue I had. I only wanted it to operate for 15 minutes, twice a day, but somehow after programming the two on & off times it set the next on time at 00:01, which I didn’t notice, do had the sprinkler going been midnight and the next off time I’d set. Not good when you’re on a water meter!My advice, set every on/off pair, with those you don’t want to use as 00:00/00:00 and the last one 00:00/00:01.

3rd Summer Still working well
I bought these a while back, and now, in their third summer, they are still working well. Initially, I was concerned by some reviews about their durability, so I waited before writing my own review. Typically, the batteries last for one summer. These devices work great with water butts, eliminating the need for pressurized water. I use them with a self-watering drip feed system and am pleased to report that Iâve been very happy with their performance.

Beware product! starts off ok, but battery life is shockingly low as it only uses 2 AAA batteries
I bought installed this item 2 months ago as I was off on a long trip for two months, i returned to find the item had malfunctioned and stopped working, probably due to the batteries, but they were not flat when i tested them on other devices, quite a few of my plants had died as a result, and upon replacing the batteries, the programming would not work properly at all to open and close the valves when programmed. replacing the batteries resets the device and the clocks and I had to remove and reinsert the batteries over 15 times today just to get the blooming thing to start opening and closing the valves. eventually it did start working properly with the timer and I have set if again to work and hopefully it will allow those plants which are not dead to recover. will be off again for 6 weeks and will update when I get back. My previous device was from a yellow colour brand and when faulty after 3 years of use and only had 3 battery changes in all that time.

Functions well but battery issues
On/off function with multiple timers is easy to use and setup. Device looks ok and weatherproof. It however doesnât like my batteries. Brand new batteries lasted two weeks until the battery light started flashing. New batteries fitted and the battery light still flashed and the watering cycle didnât work. Two new sets of batteries and still it doesnât work. So Iâm returning it inside the return window!Another user had the same issue.

A falta de probar su durabilidad con el tiempo, lo compré por su estanqueidad y fácil manejo. Tanto la tapa principal como la caja de baterÃas tiene juntas de goma para mantenerlo seco. La caja de baterÃas se extrae con mucha facilidad al contrario de otros modelos, y eso ayuda mucho.El único problema que he encontrado y es bastante problemático son las rótulas que ajustan las frecuencias y duración. Como se ven en las fotos las piezas originales son las azules y las grises las que he tenido que coger de otra en desuso. Las originales solo tienen un puntos de agarre que al girar son desgastadas en poco tiempo, en mis caso el primer dÃa, y deberÃan ser como las grises. Es el único punto débil que encuentro pero es grande y puede conllevar a que el producto se devuelva o se deseche prematuramente. DeberÃa ser modificado ya que el resto del producto parece ser muy bueno. (Este punto debil ha sido modificado y tras comprar dos mas me alegro que tuvieron en cuenta este defecto y lo arreglaron.)

Für meine Zwecke bestens geeignet. Ich kann zwei Regner im Garten aufstellen und unabhängig voneinander zu verschiedenen Zeiten automatisch ein- und ausschalten. Ohne dieses Gerät wäre der Wasserdruck meiner Gartenpumpe für den gleichzeitigen Betrieb zweier Regner zu gering. Ein Rezensent hatte geschrieben: “Wasserstränge können nicht einzeln automatisch gesteuert werden.” Das hatte mich vor dem Kauf zunächst verunsichert. Zum Glück habe ich mich dann doch für den Kauf entschieden, denn selbstverständlich werden die beiden Zonen unabhängig voneinander gesteuert. Bei mir läuft soweit alles perfekt. Das Gerät scheint robust gebaut zu sein; es ist auch alles wasserdicht. Zum Ãberwintern würde ich empfehlen, wie bei den meisten Geräten mit Motor nach dem Prinzip vorzugehen “bewegliche Teile wollen bewegt werden”. Soll heiÃen: Um ein “Festfressen” zu verhindern, werde ich die Batterien über den Winter drin lassen und die Frequenz/Laufzeit für beide Zonen auf “wöchentlich/1 Minute” stellen, sodass die Motoren und Kugelhähne immer mal bewegt werden. Natürlich muss man dann von Zeit zu Zeit auch mal nach den Batterien schauen.

Sieht Stabil aus das Plastik. Habe schon eine vor andere Firma gekauft. Nach ca. 2 gab’s leichte Probleme. Aber hat ihr Geld verdient. Daumen hoch Bin gespannt wie lange hält .
