Adaptor needed for this to Plug into Stick Up Cam (3rd Gen)
Arrived as expexted and It seems like an authentic part. HOWEVER, you need to also by the adaptor; “Ring USB-C to Barrel Plug Adapter for USB-C Solar Panels and Barrel Plug Security Cameras, Black – Compatible with Solar Panel (USB-C), Small Solar Panel (USB-C), Stick Up Cam, Spotlight Cam”, for an additional £10. Basically for it to go into my 3rd gen outdoor stick up camera I needed something to convert the usb-c end, as this will not go straight into the camera.

Ridiculous
So I swapped out my older Ring Outdoor Stick-Up Camera with a Spotlight version. It turns out this one uses USB-C instead of the Barrel Plug, so I had to shell out another â¬40 on this product as the (Barrel Plug to USB-C) converter Ring makes apparently only works with the old Solar Panel and nothing else.This is okay. My decision and all that, but what was really annoying was the design of the mains connector part. For some reason known only to Ring, the figure eight connector is now everso slightly different and does not work with the old one (which has a longer cable). So I had to drive to town to buy a 1m extension lead and swap out both parts of the cable instead of just the one part.In a time we should be cutting down on WEEE waste, Ring seem to have this awful habit of creating more for no apparently good reason.Incidentally, using USB-C outdoors is really not a good idea. Despite the pathetic attempt at a seal, there is no way that’s going to be weather resistant. The Spotlight Camera has the connector on the back (facing the sky….what bright spark though that was a good idea?) exacerbates the problem.If you decide to hardwire any Ring camera using this cable, I recommend enhancing the connector using something like petroleum jelly or a food grade silicone sealer to stop the ingress of water that clearly is going to happen eventually. Either that or sign up for the Subscription which gives you perpetual warranty so Ring will have to replace your water damaged camera.For those reasons, its 3 stars from me.

Not the real thing
Item is different to the one on the ring website, this cable adapter doesn’t have the same end to it to fit into the stick up camera and the pan tilt, so its useless to me, now I can’t do anything with it as it’s been opened to try it, I should of just got the one from the ring website instead.
