Post surgery, works well when wrapped in a towel, the covers were unnecessary and too thin to use without a towel anyway. The length was probably a bit too long for the area to cover. Good having two, as you can alternate; one in use, one in the freezer.

WOW! Where do I start?! These cooling packs and wipes were a life savor for me after I gave birth. Keeping the downstairs confortable was my biggest chore and these came to the rescue. I ended up with an unplanned c-section rather than the vaginal delivery I was anticipating, but these were still really helpful! The ice packs are the perfect size to put over my incision and help keep swelling down.

As far as reusable ice packs go, these are really nice. The shape is perfect and they do stay a little softer and more plyable than regular ice packs. They can also be microwaved to making a heating pad instead of an ice pack. The main drawback to these pads is that they don’t absorb. They do come with little protective sleaves to go over the ice packs but those don’t absorb either. They would be perfect for a c-section incision or a little later postpartum when you aren’t having as much drainage and you can combine them with a separate pad. Personally the first few days postpartum, I wanted big heavy, absorbing pads with ice packs built in.
