Great value smart bulbs
Bought for a patio down light and working well so far for it’s intended purpose. I’ve swapped out all of my bulbs for Tapo and all of them are working as intended with Alexa for voice commands and routines.

Not the brightest and not the best cool white. Otherwise, great.
Made the mistake of running these side by side with the cheap Tuya bulbs I was replacing. The Tuyas are not only brighter, but their cool white setting is a far more convincing white. You can see the Tapo bulbs mixing in blue/purple from the colour LEDs to try to balance out the colour temperature of the whites. The Tuya bulbs didn’t do this.To be fair, they perform fine in everyday use, and this isn’t really noticeable when you’re not doing a side-by-side comparison.They work well in Home Assistant, though it seems Tapo stuff requires a HACS add-on, which (in spite of locally controlling the bulbs) apparently needs Internet to function. This contrasts with the older TP-Link Kasa devices, which had native Home Assistant support and were truly local.It works fine in the Tapo app on Android, and a nice touch of that is that there’s backward compatibility for Kasa, so I can work all of my TP-Link smart home stuff from one place.

Fab GU10 smart bulb
Easy to integrate within the Tapo app and integrate within groups for control. This was set up within a group of 3 of these bulbs and controlled with a Tapo button. Good levels of brightness, mostly using the white spectrum but like having the option of multi colours.

Bought it as a gift, it was well received
Bought it as a gift for my friend that wanted instead of a sound alarm a light on the bedside table to turn on at a specific time. She loved it. Easy to set up, good value for money, and plenty of functionalities in the app. You can choose the colours as well and let it fade on to wake you up. Perfect overall.

Unreliable
These are very unreliable. I have had 2 of them go irrecoverably bad, losing connection to WiFi and just doing a slow blink. Another one of these just keeps turning itself on randomly. No amount of factory reset solves the issue. The support forums are full of people having exact same issues. I will not be buying anymore of these. I thought of TP-link as a reliable brand and that’s the reason I bought these. It’s a shame.
