Excellent inkless printer
It uses plain paper and the print quality is very good, great printing documents when travelling.

PORTABLE printer that you can use anywhere… I think it’s good!
I think this is a good, black & white thermal printer that ticks a lot of boxes for me. Once you’ve familiarised yourself with it, it’s very easy to use and I love the portability aspect. Probably important to think about how you intend to use the printer before committing to it but I think the A4 size makes it especially handy for printing letters, documents and schoolwork. I tested it with my Mac and iPhone.Best bits:- You can actually use it with STANDARD PAPER (as well as thermal paper which is a thin, smooth paper that gives a sharper result)- Generally good print quality (smudge-proof and won’t run even when wet) I do think the print can look a bit blotchy at times (more so with standard paper) but it’s still legible and you can achieve a richer, dark black print by choosing “heavy” in the app print settings.- It’s wireless and app-controlled (but only if used with a tablet or phone).- Once setup, the app always recognises the printer instantly when switched on.- No ink cartridges (replacement thermal ribbon via Amazon costs around £25 for 2, at the time of review).- Very compact and portable design and comes with a handy drawstring bag.Things to consider:- No wireless option when connected to a computer or laptop (the printer has to be plugged in via USB and first-time installation is a bit long-winded as it involves downloading the printer driver).- The app is a little clunky and not as efficient as it could be for example you have to import documents into the accompanying app (or paste in a website address if it’s a webpage) before printing rather than just sending it to print direct from the document or web.- No way to increase/decrease print size from the app.- The smallest paper size is A5 (the printer won’t recognise or accept paper that’s any smaller, so for example, even though a pre-cut A6 shipping label could in theory be fed in, it won’t actually allow it)….Does it replace the need for a standard, full size inkjet (or similar) printer?I’ll be keeping and using both. It makes sense for me to continue using my usual printer for everyday tasks when I’m at the desk (it’s always connected and feels the most efficient option). But I love the portability of being able to print anywhere from my phone with my new thermal printer and I do think certain tasks are better suited to the printer especially as the print looks visibly different because it’s so dark and has a sheen to it (and it’s water resistant). It’s a shame you can’t use it to do pre-cut A6 shipping labels but a workaround for occasional use would be to mount the label onto an A4 sheet first (I was able to print on labels this way).All in all, I think this is pretty good; it’s a quality printer that delivers a workable, portable printing solution at an accessible price.

This is a very helpful product to print papers on the go
I’m quite familiar with this type of product because this is the third printer I had over the time and I know how to set it up and how to handle it.Considering that this is a portable printer the only thing needed to do is to make sure that it is plugged and it requires a roll of thermal printer which is not included in the pack and just to install the app which is simple to operate.Basically the connection between my phone and the printer is through bluetooth and for example when I want to print something I just have to add the file in the app and then press the print button and literally in less than 10 seconds I have the page printed.The quality of the print it is satisfactory in my opinion but something important to mention is the fact that the paper that comes out is not straight and this is because of the thermal paper which is a roll but I can print anything anytime this product is very helpful.The printer is not that heavy and specifically for my use I just keep in the car and so far as I remember I have printed roughly 50 pages and I didn’t experience any problems and the good part about it is that I don’t have to replace any ink and most likely our be able to print for a very long time as long as I have paper.The functionality and also build in quality of this product is quite good, I wouldn’t necessarily say that the process of printing it is simple considering that all the time I have to add the files in the app and then print from there but still, it is a portable printer and it does exactly what it has to.
