Prefer this to a normal mouse
Suffering from tennis elbow and using a normal mouse all day in the office was triggering the pain. My wife suggested a vertical mouse. She was just about to order herself one. I had never heard of them. A bit of research and I chose the Ugreen as their stuff is normally good and it is great to use. Very comfortable. My wrist and hand are in a more neutral position. Definitely helps with the elbow. Put the bluetooth dongle in the computer and a battery in the mouse and it worked straight away. Got used to it pretty quick and I much prefer it to the standard mouse. In fact, I will buy another for my home computer. My wife ended up buying a £50 one and this is just as good and was on a deal for £16.99 so very happy with it.

Works well with Macs
This review is for the UGREEN 2.4 & Bluetooth Vertical Mouse.I am mainly an Apple Mac user and I have used previous vertical mice that worked partially with the Mac but not completely so I was keen to try this as it explicitly mentioned support. I am pleased to say it worked.On the base you have a battery compartment which takes one AA battery. I would have quite liked a rechargeable built in but these do tend to cost more. In the battery compartment there is also the tiny wi-fi receiving dongle that plugs into a USB A port if you are planning to connect via wi-fi. There is a switch and a button on the bottom. The switch slides between off and Mac or Windows settings. The button allows you to switch between wi-fi and two Bluetooth settings. Whilst you could use the same setting across multiple devices (making sure only one is turned on) this allows you to have different connectivity for 3 devices (all on) just by clicking the button. Neat.I first connected by Wi-fi and that was plug and play. Connecting with Bluetooth a bit more difficult on the Mac. This is probably me, maybe the Mac and definitely not the mouse’s fault. I had to have another Bluetooth mouse or trackpad connected first to enable the connection. Once done you can happily turn on and off and it will reconnect.In use the vertical mouse is easy and comfortable to grip. The scroll wheel is near silent as are the buttons. It’s very easy to get used to. On the right hand side You have the left and right mouse buttons and scroll wheel. On the left hand side are two buttons. These in normal use scroll back and forth between the different Mac screens/desk tops.There is one other button on the right hand side and this quickly switches between four different dpi settings. This adjusts the scrolling speed and responsiveness of the mouse.I haven’t tested on a windows machine but have no reason to doubt it will be fine, I am also not a big gamer so can’t comment on its use in gaming but this is an very good and functional vertical mouse that works on the Mac and another great product from UGREEN

I am still getting used to the feel of this mouse and the way it positions my hand, but there is no doubt it’s kinder to my hands than my previous mouse. Interestingly, it also works much better with my Windows 11 machine – my old mouse had some stuttering behaviours that are apparently a known Windows issue, but these resolved with the new mouse, possibly because of better and more up to date drivers. It worked straight out of the box with no special install steps needed. I think this mouse is really good value, delivering ergonomics for not much more than a standard mouse. I’m very happy with it.

Este ratón vertical inalámbrico me ha venido realmente bien porque paso muchas horas frente al ordenador y los ratones convencionales me cansan la mano. Desde el primer contacto el diseño se siente diferente y atractivo. Su forma vertical permite que la mano se apoye en un ángulo natural de 57 grados, lo que realmente ayuda a mantener la muñeca relajada. Se nota menos tensión en el brazo y en la muñeca en comparación con un ratón tradicional.La rueda de desplazamiento tiene una construcción en acero refinado, y el giro es suave y silencioso. Esto es especialmente agradable si trabajas en entornos donde el ruido puede molestar o si prefieres un clic discreto. Todo el cuerpo del ratón tiene un acabado antideslizante y antisudor con el que sientes firmeza al agarrarlo, algo que agradezco mucho en días de trabajo intenso.En cuanto a conectividad, el ratón ofrece dos formas de conexión: mediante Bluetooth 5.0 o por un receptor USB 2.4 GHz, ambos con un alcance de hasta 10 metros. He probado ambas y la estabilidad es buena, sin retrasos perceptibles. Es muy cómodo poder alternar según el dispositivo que esté utilizando.Sobre la autonomía, funciona a pilas y promete hasta 12 meses de duración gracias a su suspensión automática después de 10 minutos de inactividad. Un detalle que me ha gustado es que cuenta con recordatorio de batería baja, lo que evita quedarte tirado en medio del trabajo.En cuanto a la precisión, el ratón permite elegir entre cuatro niveles de DPI: 1000, 1600, 2000 y 4000. Esta variedad lo hace apto tanto para tareas normales como para trabajos que requieren movimientos más precisos, como el diseño gráfico, los juegos o la edición de fotos.Otro aspecto importante es el tamaño. Es especialmente cómodo para manos medianas y grandes como la mía. Para manos pequeñas puede resultar algo voluminoso, así que tenlo en cuenta.La distribución de botones es práctica. Cuenta con botones laterales de avance y retroceso, muy útiles para navegar en internet o en carpetas de archivos. El interruptor de DPI está perfectamente ubicado para ajustar la sensibilidad al vuelo sin complicaciones.Algo que me gustaría resaltar es el diseño general. La textura de las superficies, las líneas de agarre y la robustez de los materiales transmiten una sensación de calidad que no siempre se encuentra en los productos de esta categoría. Se corresponde con lo que se espera de una buena marca como es UGREEN.En mi experiencia personal, el paso a un ratón vertical como este ha supuesto un gran alivio para mi muñeca y para la postura general de la mano. Es un ratón que recomendaría especialmente a quienes trabajan muchas horas seguidas frente al ordenador o han notado molestias en la muñeca con los ratones tradicionales.
