The RTS range of thermostats utilise electronic sensing to provide accurate temperature control. Six models are available to suit all domestic applications including frost protection and combi boilers. The RTS1 is a standard room thermostat.

A good basic thermostat. Just a switch that closes when the the temperature recroded is lower than what is set on the dial. Termination is very easy and simple. Product comes with a wiring diagram for customers who are unfamiliar or who need additional guidance.My issue is when i recieved it the dial had come off the shaft for the thermostat. You can see where the glue has just given up on life so the dial just pops off easily. I had super glue around so a quick poke and done. A silly fault but for £20 id expect them to be able to glue some plastic together. An all round good easy to use thermostat.

Do you really need a smart thermostat?
Got this to replace a 20-year old one that had broken. As it used the same backplate it took five minutes to fit and I didn’t need to turn off the power. It works just as it should.I get that smart thermostats are a great idea for some people but they’re not something that would offer me much benefit over a straightforward, old fashioned thermostat. So when the old one of these gave up the ghost, a simple replacement was the best thing to do. Fitting it was just a case of loosening the screws at the base of the old one to slide it off (the screws are on the baseplate not the thermostat) then sliding the new one into place and tightening the screws back up. Easy to do and it works a treat.

I was very tempted by the Wi-Fi thermostats after I found that my old one gave up the ghost.I have no electrical skills but installed this in minutes. It took me 20 mins to find my small screw driver to unscrew the back plate and half that to connect the wires (as per the diagram).Iâm very chuffed that this has achieved the aim and my Mrs thinks Iâm a handy man now!!!
