Brilliant product – simple instructions and took a matter of minutes to install
Value – the product, at the price I paid, was extremely good value. There were more affordable options available however there seemed to be a very obvious drop in quality and given their function I didnât think this would be appropriate.Quality – the product appears to be of brilliant quality, more than enough for the average window. Iâve used a strong amount of force to open the window numerous times to test this, and no budging whatsoever.Installation – the instructions make it very simple, though the product itself is very intuitive and a common-sense approach can be applied. The first one took around 10 minutes, which included a little getting the feel for the product. The second took 5 minutes. There are 4 in the pack however Iâm yet to install these.Appearance – the product looks high-quality, features nice covers for both screws. The product canât be faulted on this in my opinion. There are various options dependent on the nature of the window in questionOverall – I couldnât recommend this product highly enough. Itâs functional, sturdy, easy to install fitting very well and will undoubtedly serve its purpose.

Top Quality
I recently bought these window restrictors for child safety, and I’m extremely pleased with the product. The quality is excellent; they feel robust and well-made, providing a real sense of security. Installation was surprisingly easy, even for someone like me who’s not particularly handy. The restrictors came with clear instructions, and all the necessary hardware was included. Pretty near perfect…
This is a well made product with a plastic covered steel cable that should be strong enough to withstand any attempt to break it. It’s dead easy to fix. However, I used my own screws as the screws that came with it were a bit too long and are intended to be impossible to unscrew. This is as a safety measure, although I don’t imagine even the most intrepid child is up to unscrewing tightly fixed screws. One fact is that the plastic covers for the two parts you screw in are, once pushed over the metal parts, almost impossible to remove without breaking the covers. So again from a safety point of view it means children won’t be up to that task either. But just make sure the two metal fixtures are screwed into exactly the right places before you push the covers over them. However, the positives well outweigh the slight negatives so don’t let it put you off. I actually fixed two to each window, one on each side of the window, as an extra precaution as I was fitting these in high up windows for my grandson. I just wanted to be extra sure to keep him safe. There are cheaper types that look similar but the steel cable is thinner. Also, unlike the ones I’m reviewing here, some come with adhesive pads. NEVER use these, especially if securing a window that is high up and you have children. In my experience adhesive pads are simply not strong enough or are likely to just come off anyway, with what could be devastating results.

Inaccurate description.
The cable is not 200mm across the advertised points. Between 175mm and 180mm at best. Luckily it just reached where i wanted it, but thats not the point. Other than that it seems quite decent.
