Supported HDD/SSD:
FIDECO hard drive docking station can support all 2.5/3.5 inch SATA I/II/III HDD/SSD.The maximum supported HDD capacity can reach 18TB. Please note that it cannot support any IDE hard drive.
Compatible System:
FIDECO docking station is widely compatible with Windows, Mac OS and Linux. Just plug and play with no driver needed!
Easy Operation:
Absolutely no complex operation steps! Just insert your SATA HDD/SSD, connect the USB cable and power adapter respectively, and then turn on the power switch.
Supported Hard Drive
FIDECO hard drive docking station is compatible with 2.5 & 3.5 inch SATA HDD/SSD. Please note that it cannot support IDE hard drive.
Smart LED Indicator
When the power switch is turned on, the red power light will be on. The blue lights will be on when the hard drive is recognized and they will flash during data reading or writing.

Warm Note:

Warm Note for Offline Clone:
Please back up all the data from your source HDD before offline clone.Please confirm there are no bad sectors from both HDDs, or the clone may fail.Please make sure that the capacity of the target HDD needs to be equal to or larger than that of the source HDD.When clone is finished, all 3 blue lights (25%, 50%, 100%) will be on. If all 3 blue lights flash simultaneously, it means the clone failed.For offline clone, there is no computer needed! Please do not connect the hard drive docking station to your computer until the clone is finished.

My second purchase – cheap and (so far) reliable
This is the second of these I have purchased. The first one was over 2 years ago and since then it has been used as the startup heart of my iMac (ie running the iMac off the Fideco – in this case with a Crucial SSD drive inserted). It has been very reliable but occasionally it does not want to come back to life but I have a buzillion programs and websites open at any one time so hardly surprising. Apple’s IOS being what it is this presents no problem as I simply restart and all is saved. The USB ports work as expected. Cloning is an added bonus for me though have not had to do this more than once (only with the previous purchase of this enclosure)

Excellent for drive cloning.
Only used once so far to clone my 180GB Windows ssd to a new larger ssd, completed the task in 8 minutes with no problems, installed the new ssd back into the pc and booted first time as if it was booting from old drive. Whole process removing the old drive from pc, cloning to new ssd, installing new ssd in pc, booting pc, took less than 15 minutes.

Working great can put 2 hard drives at the same time and add USB hard drives to copy too.

Easy to install
Attach usb lead to unit and computer and within 5sec explorer opens and you can see all the drives. You can drag and drop to any drive and its quick. I wanted to move data from my old laptop drive to my new laptop. Did the job very well.

Hard drives keep corrupting
Hard drive is corrupted everytime I’m turning off power. Buy cheap buy twice. Next time will go with a reputable brand. Just wasted my money on this item
