Does exactly what it is supposed to do
I made a through search for SMART candle bulbs. These were the most expensive, that was precisely what I was trying to avoid. After reading the reviews of all the other makes that had far too many 1 and 2 star reviews or needed the purchasing of a hub to make them work, I bit the bullet and bought 2 of these.I’m not one for reading instructions. Pairing bluetooth should be automatic and that is what I expect, and that is what I thought was happening. Maybe I did something wrong. Even so, on the 2nd attempt everything connected, including the 2.4 Mh wifi. The 2 bulbs replaced old fashioned filament types, the last 2 in the house. They were controlled by a dimmer switch. You cannot use a dimmer switch with SMART bulbs, they will flicker on anything less than full power. I will be replacing my dimmer switch asap..The WIZ app controls the bulbs perfectly. So far I have adjusted the colour and speed of turning on and off. Dimming is very smooth. All the way from zero to 100 per cent and back. The 2 bulbs are paired so they operate in unison.Overall. Very pleased with the bulbs and how they work. I read a professional review of 4lite bulbs they said they were the best of 10 other makes, including Phillip’s bulbs, they need a hub. The bulb package is well designed and much bigger than the bulb, gives plenty of room for unexpected crushing. Delivery was early.

Very good.
The bulb is a lot larger than I was expecting but thatâs my problem and not a fault. It works well and gives off a good light but Iâd be lying if I said that I found it easy to set up.So here’s my tips.If you can, do the pairing process in the same room as your router or as close as you can.Make sure that you complete the setup process. Even after entering your wi-fi password and getting confirmation that it is connected there are a couple of additional steps before it will tell you that the setup is complete.Once youâve tested that you can control it from the app, then move it to its intended location.Adding it to Alexa was an easy task.

Cheap for an edison smart bulb so expected the worse
Thought this would be rubbish as good edison smart bulbs are normally in the £25 range.. If you can find one! This was a piece of cake to connect when many more expensive ones are a nightmare. The bulb is responsive, great colour, looks good and zero problems.. So farWill update this review if it dies after 6 months!

Perfect!
Absolutely brilliant for the price. I have 2 above my breakfast bar and the range of brightness/settings is incredible and all controlled from my phone, or Alexa can turn on and off by my voice.

Brightness issue
The bulb looks the part and will connect to Alexa ok. It took a couple of attempts to get it connected however so not the most intuitive but not the worst.Setup tips:Use the legacy Wiz app in the App Store, not v2Then use the second connection method where you connect directly to the light in your WiFiAlso when connecting via Alexa youâll need to use enable the wiz skill which will then connect the account. There are 2 main issues for me here, first off the min brightness is a still a little bit bright and in your face. Itâs not like a standard WiFi bulb. However I can just about live with this. The main issue is the device will not save its brightness settings after being turned off via Alexa or the wiz app itself. Wiz have included a âdefault settings when powering onâ setting however this literally only worked when the device is physically turned off at the switch or by cutting power not from turning it on and off from the Alexa/ wiz app. There seems to be no way around this and every time you turn it on itâs blindingly bright and in your face. The only workaround would be to use an Alexa plug in the socket which does a simple on and off and therefore will save your settings (I have tested this)I would therefore not recommend this and likely go for the Philips hue bulb equivalent if buying again. Iâve only kept this as I have an Alexa plug lying around but will upgrade when I have more money.

Nice light bulb but…
I recently added a new smart light bulb to my collection and while there are some things I appreciate about it, there were also some challenges. The standout feature for me is the ability to change the light from a warm yellow to a cool white. This versatility really enhances the ambiance in any room. However, the connection process to the WiFi proved to be quite tricky. I have approximately 25 smart light bulbs in my house, all connected via Tuya for easy navigation. Unfortunately, my attempts to connect this particular light bulb to Tuya were unsuccessful. I had to download a separate application, Wiz, just to get this single bulb connected. On the bright side, I was able to link the new app to Alexa, so I can still control all the lights from one place. Itâs a bit of a hassle to manage another app, but at least it works. If the WiFi connection process were simpler, this light bulb would be nearly perfect.
