Useless
Opened the unit today and fitted it as described in video to a T. Has me down as below detectable range constantly dinging me every three minutes to tell me I should take immediate action. After three hrs or so it then says that I should get a new one as its not working. In the mean time I have done 3 independent finger monitor tests and all around 8.2 this unit below 2 . I may have dud unit but looking at some reviews iam not the only one and at £54 an expensive piece of plastic.

Great CGM device!
We have just got this Sinocare iCan i3 CGM device for our father who has diabetes. We hope this CGM device can change the way he tests his blood sugar daily and gives him more freely to do whatever he wants.The device is pretty easy to use by applying the sensor on skin via applicator though a push of the button (we did it for our father without any pain for him). After install the iCan CGM App (on both Apple App Store and Google Play) on our father iPhone, he is able to monitor his blood sugar right on his iPhone. The App also can create an alarm once he has high blood sugar.According to the manufacturer, the device can last 15 days. We will see how it goes.

Easy app. Inaccurate results.
The product is well made and easily applied to the stomach (not the arm). Excellent instructions and simple to synchronise. The problem I encountered is that having used a few of these particular devices, there is a big difference between the CGM reading and a blood reading. This is apparently due to both methods measuring different things, sugar in interest-cellular fluid and directly from blood. For example the CGM was showing 4.6 when a blood measurement was 6.1. There is no way to calibrate the results from the CGM with blood, but the app results are useful still as they show spikes due to food and drink as intended.Incidentally, the application of the device was painless on the 3 I have used. Iâm not aware that other devices are any more accurate, but I understand some can be calibrated to blood results. Each CGM lasts for 15 days.

Took weeks to arrive. Followed the instructions to the letter. Comprehensive but expensive package
Glucose monitoring is expensive and some services offer subscriptions. Others offer insights and subscriptions into the data collected and how logging food intake impacts blood glucose.This package comes with a 15 day monitor which is useful if you only need to measure for a short time. Otherwise youâll have to purchase constantly replacements and this will be extremely expensive vs the finger prick testsThis does come with a smartphone app which is well designed. I just wonder why these sensors canât be made much cheaper, come with a replaceable battery or be applied with a long lasting adhesive

A quality monitor
As soon as the app installed which happened very quickly. I attached the sensor which seemed complicated at first, but after doing it once I know what I need to do next time. It looks more complicated than it is. Everything is sealed so once the box is open, you still have another seal on the sensor to open. It picked up on the app quickly and I could see the levels. It has helped me to see what is lowering and making the levels high due to the live data. The alarm for high levels is a bonus. This pack only covers for 15 days so you will need to keep purchasing if you want to carry on using it after 15 days. But a quality package and sensor.

Watch out for water
What can I say? I took it as a curiosityI wanted to see how my sugar levels change depending on what I do or eat.The application is easy and simple, and the connection to my phone went smoothly.Everything worked as it should until I took a shower. I don’t know if it’s my fault, but after that, the readings were completely different; they were very different from the norm. Maybe it will be different in your case, but the price is not low, so you have to take it into account.
