Excellent quality banana plugs
The big benefit of Banana plugs is how they make it easier to connect everything up to your amplifier.The ease of connecting to your hifi comes at good price of a little bit of setup; in that regard the Ucinnovate banana plugs are very easy to connect to your cables; the outer casing unscrews revealing the gold plated plug itself. Two smaller screws then hold the wire in place; once they are tightened back up you can screw the outer case back on. These are no solder connections which means you can use them over and over; I am using about 4mm diameter speaker cable at the moment and this fit good

Good but with a major caveat.
On the face of it this is a standard banana plug of the spring pin design. What sets it apart from the big name makes are that the screws are substantial and a lot of torque can be applied to really tighten the contact. There is plenty of space for thicker gauge cable too. The fit to the speaker and amp terminals is tight and secure. The outer covers are well finished but are quite long. This can cause a problem if there is limited pace behind the amp. Using heat shrink instead of the outer covers gets round this. They are excellent value for money but with a major caveat. Plugging and unplugging reveals that the gold plating is very thin, coupled with the tight fit meant I found it is easily worn.

Cable size issue
Nothing wrong with the plugs themselves but they say up to 10awg. I used 12awg cable and I was unable to screw in the screws flush with the plug. They would stick out which meant the sleeve would not go over the plug. I recommend 14 or 16awg to allow screws to go all the way in.

Good plugs, fit over the sheaf
I have had a couple of these plugs before that do not fit over the sheaf on my 2.5mm speaker cable, this set of four I can happily report do fit over the sheaf and secures well onto the cable. You will need a small screwdriver for the small grub screws but other than that they are really easy to secure. Look great and ideal for AVRs where you have a plethora of cables that can be a nightmare to unhook without banana plugs.
