Vonets VAP11G-300 is a mini WiFi bridge and repeater. It works in the 2.4G frequency band and can convert wireless to wired.It is mainly used
for many network devices without wireless functions but only with network ports, which solves the trouble of wiring.
When VAP11G-300 works in the repeater mode. At the edge of the original WiFi hotspot signal coverage, it can receive weak WiFi signals,and then
amplify them to normal and safe strength, and after optimization and error correction processing, the signal coverage distance is doubled under
safety.This is different from the traditional WiFi signal amplifier-it only amplifies the signal and ignores the WiFi security.
Two Typical Application Methods
AP Application
AP mode plug and play, simply plug the VAP11G-300 network cable into the broadband network
port to connect to the Internet. Other wireless devices can directly connect to the VAP11G-300
to easily access the Internet.
Repeater Application
Repeater mode can expand the existing network to facilitate network expansion, and can convert
WiFi to RJ45 network. Use VAP11G-300 network cable to plug into the computer’s network port to
connect the computer to the Internet.

Works well after initial setup issue
Easy to setup using the startup book provided, although when you press the reboot button at the end of the process it just stays in ‘please wait’ loop, after a couple of attempts I simply ignored this (as advised by others in reply to my question on amazon) and disconnected the unit and it worked fine. I linked it to an X88 Pro TV box via the ethernet connection and it improved from around 10mbps (where it buffers movies) to around 50mbps so now it streams perfectly.

Utterly Useless
I bought this to turn my old wired laser printer into a wireless printer. I did my due diligence – this is one of the features of this device, other reviewers have said that they could do it, and I watched a couple of YouTube videos on how to do it.After several hours of cursing, setting, re-setting, altering settings, re-reading the (useless) manual, watching yet more videos, searching the internet, re-setting, altering settings, swearing, starting again, I have done the only sensible thing and returned this.To be clear, I am not an IT dummy. I have in the past built several PCs from scratch, and until recently eclipsed by my teenage sons I have been the IT guru for friends and family.The frustrating thing is that I can see that this SHOULD work. I just cannot figure out how to get it to work, and the value of the time I have wasted trying to get it to work is many times the value of the item or the time it will ever save me.Thank heavens for Amazon’s easy returns. This is going back.

brilliant little device
i liked this product as i have intergrated it in with my card readers to make them wifi now. Previously if i wanted to move my card readers around i would have to have a long ethernet wire which is messy and can clutter up the place. With this i can change the ethernet port on my reader and make it a wireless device

Works well to connect remote devices
It was very easy to set up on my laptop. The set-up video on the Amazon sales site was very helpful. Once done and confirmed that it works, I plugged it into a stand-alone Denon Music Player that has an ethernet connection. Power was supplied using a phone charger adapter. The player then recognised the media server that I run on a separate box. So I now have access to all my music on the Denon. An excellent WiFi adapter that saves wires, and it is so small that it can be placed discretely out of the way.

Habe ein paar Geräte ohne WLAN Möglichkeit, und 3D Drucker die mit USB WLAN Stick immerwieder Verbindungsabbrüche generieren.Den Adapter kann man recht einfach mit der beiliegenden Beschreibung zum Laufen bringen.Ich habe ihn über Ethernet (Kabel) konfiguriert, als Brücke und ohne ein zweites WLAN aufzumachen(AP auf off). Reichweite ist gut, trotz Warnung auf der Konfigurationsseite das derEmpfang schwach sei (was an dem Ort definitiv so ist) war nach Konfiguration und Rebooteine stabile Verbindung zum WLAN Router über Ethernet vorhanden. Einzig die beiden hellenLEDs stören weil blinken die ganze Zeit. Wäre schön sie abschalten zu können, oder sie nur statisch leuchten zu lassen.Adapter genehmigt sich bei meiner Konfiguration etwa 0.25A beim Surfen, während Speedtestsauch schon mal kurzzeitig 0.5A am USB Tester gesehen.Nach dem Anstöpseln des Adapters am Strom dauert es (bei meinem wirklich alten WLAN Router) etwa 45s bis die Verbindung steht.
