Bought this soundbar because the speakers on my Hisense 65 inch TV were terrible. They sounded like tin cans. Connected the soundbar to the eARC HDMI port on the TV then powered on the soundbar. Man, was I surprised on how nice it sounds. I wasn’t expecting much at this price point but it sounds very good. Just to be clear, you’re not going to get chest thumping bass from it. That’s not what it’s for. If you want floor rattling bass then I suggest you go out and get a separate sound system/receiver with a large sub-woofer. However, it is night and day from the sound my TV was putting out. The vocals are clear and distinct when watching movies. I put on a music channel and there is enough bass to where it doesn’t sound tinny and it doesn’t get distorted when putting the volume at 100% which is nice. Bluetooth connected to my iPhone with no issues. Bottom line, sure you can spend more and buy something much better like a Bose or Sonos soundbar however, you’re going to spend $700-$800 as well. If you’re just looking to upgrade your TV speakers then this will do the trick. As far as durability, that remains to be seen? I will post another update in a few months to let you know how the soundbar has held up.

Sound is good easy to use remote and so forth. It did however take some time to get it working properly. If you have a TLC TV this can be a pain as most do not have one of settings you are suppose to shut off to get it working. Tried the optical cable, no sound went through settings on TV tried several things no go. Hooked it up with ARC HDMI, same thing unplugged, powered up, removed cable, installed cable coupe times. Finally in TV settings reset the TV. If you have a TLC Roku type and have trouble getting this sound bar or others to work I suggest you try this. Go to your setting on tv, then select system, then select Advanced System Settings, then select Factory Reset. You should have two (2) options you want to only select the Reset TV audio/picture settings, select it and press enter. This will reset everything and if you tried several things before this will bring it back to factory settings…NOTE** if you do the second option you will Clear all your streaming channels you have SO ONLY SELECT the reset audio & picture setting. After doing this, the sound from the sound bar worked just fine. There are several videos on You tube about installing this sound bar or ones like it yet many FAIL to address this issue so found them a waste of time. This many not work for everyone but it did for me on a TLC TV other wise no complaints on sound quality, and anything improvement over the speakers you have in your TV. One thing of note on the manual, you may see a way to hook these up using RCA and 3.5mm jacks. Most TLC tvs do not have out or inputs for RCA and this model only came with a 3.5mm jack at both ends cable and an Optical. I would stick with either the optical cable which I am going to try again some day or the HDMI ARC. I can not guarantee this will work for everyone but something to try before you go through the frustrations of trying to change multiple settings on your TV and may save you an hour or so of frustration, saying naughty words and the like.

This is a great little soundbar. It’s stylish, minimal, doesn’t stick out visually (which is important to me).Plenty of connectors in back – HDMI, Coax, Optical, Aux (headphone jack), USB, and the power input. I really love how the connector plugins are inset a bit into the speaker, so it can be flush with a wall and the cords won’t interfere. Shows that thought was put into this.In an attempt to be helpful I’ve included photos with my tape measure, so you can see the exact measurements for yourself. I estimate it’s 28.25 inches long, 2.75 inches tall, and 3.50 inches deep. I also included a pic measuring the wall mounts with the tape measure – both about 7.5 inches in from the sides. It sounds really good, great bass, clear sound – probably better than the video picks up. The remote works nicely too, and is laid out really logically, not like some of the weird ones on here. The remote battery is included. Also comes with the power cord, aux cord (headphone jacks, male to male), and optical cord. Plus a couple screws and drywall widgets. No setup required, plug and play, and the remote even can control your bluetooth devices! So when I pair the speaker with my phone’s Spotify, I can point the remote at the speaker and hit play/pause and it’ll work with my phone. Real nice.Overall, great speaker, and very worth the money. Buy it.

The first unit didn’t work correctly and I sent it back and the second unit also would not work with the HDMI ARC cable which was what I really wanted so I could use my main remote, but no sound would come out. Also tried it with USB and still no sound, and Bluetooth never was able to sync up. Only the fiber audio cable would work, and my set is a year old Sony Bravia. The audio cable meant I had to use the somewhat flimsy remote that came with the soundbar. I have some hearing loss so I was pleased that this could produce a good volume and it sounded better than the built in speakers. Now I am keeping this all in perspective as this shouldn’t be considered a real home theater setup, just some extra speakers which created more overall presence than the TV speakers. The bass increase is not very substantial, but it has 3 modes on the remote and the Dialog mode really improved voices, especially in situations like when there would be music or other sounds going on during dialog. Because it is connected via the optical audio, I am still able to have the TV speakers on at the same time, and through plying around with settings and levels on both the soundbar and the TV, I have been able to hit a “sweet spot” where it is clearer and fills the room better without needing it to be set on a very high volume. It has made watching everything better, though this is also taking into consideration the true capabilities of this soundbar teamed with my adjusted expectations of what to expect. If you are hoping to get a genuine home theater experience then that’s not realistic for a $50 soundbar. I’ve had it for almost a week and will keep it because it has improved the overall sound and improved the dialog, but if you want to get some solid bass and speakers with much better frequency range then you will need to move up quite a bit for something capable of providing a more true Home Theater performance.
