Excellent item that’s simple to set up
I nearly didn’t buy this since it was described as a frequently returned item. After reading the reviews though I’m glad I did because it really is first rate. It arrived in pristine condition in a sealed box and when I opened it I was surprised to find such a well made quality item. It took about two hours to fully charged, and in less than five minutes I was enjoying my first game. Set up was simple, much easier than some of the reviews on utube would have you believe. I only got it today and so far I have nothing negative to say at all. I love it.

It’s fab! Great chess set for beginners and family, easy to play great quality and magnetic. also comes with sounds and indicates how to set it up and where to move next step on training mode, easy to charge by using USB cable great size for two or more . My son loves this chess set and started to learn to play chess now.

The manual does not explain some of the features. For instance, I could not find how to turn off the sound, which at times it’s quite irritating.However, I think children will find it attractive and will get fun from it.

Good product great strengths
My son and I both like playing chess, and we have a lot of chess pieces at home.But this chess piece is different this board shows me the possible moves whenever I lift a piece. Ideal for killing time without staring at the screen. The fact that it’s a physical chess makes it much more enjoyable. Can play with the board itself against the bot or play with another person.

Good for beginners and experienced alike
Very good chess set. Much better to play on than any app. Good introductory levels with LED teaching. It does show red on certain moves if you put a piece in danger so if learning chess the red does not mean that you should not place there if you are sacrificing a piece. Its guidance witch I have found useful as I have not played chess for probably forty years. Would recommend. The only downside is its price but thats a decision you make to purchase so you cannot complain about that.

Not Perfect but fun
This is rather a large set and can be a great travel companion as you can play against the device/computer itself. It can also be used to learn how to play, as it illuminates the possible moves. The magnet is strong enough to hold the pieces in a car ride, and it also comes with storage pouches.My issue is that the pieces, They, aren’t as detailed as one would expect from this price range. Each set has an extra queen, the bishops are simply enlarged version of the pawns and the castle is a pawn with a crown.It may suit in a well lit room but if you are travelling, you might struggle identifying the pieces, especially the black ones. Three and a half stars.

Could be a good to learn how to play Chess…
I found it quite good – I am an old beginner trying to see if I can improve my skills! The white pieces would be better if they are actually white, not clear plastic. The written instructions with the device could be written in a much more helpful way, and a bit more expansive too. The device’s audio messages during use are not very clear – the use of “playback” is confusing. I think I would score it all 8 out of 10 – nevertheless I’m still using it…

This chess set is really great for learning to play the game. The pieces are easy to identify. It has lessons and puzzled for both beginner and advanced players. The pieces are a little smaller and a little lighter then I would prefer, but they are just right for younger players with smaller hands. This is a fully functional set and a great value for the money. One word of caution, the highest level will be challenging unless you have a master, or more likely grandmaster rating. As I am neither, it kicked my butt easily.

My cousin plays chess and when I seen this I thought this would be perfect for him.He loves it. There are different play options so he can play others or play with the computer or just practice.It is well made and it looks cool. It is a great chess set.
