after looking at various online unboxing etc, I decided to grab one that is currently (as on 29/08/2024) £59.99 (40% off).I noticed unlike the online unboxing videos, I notice there’s no longer three cables, and instead just one.it is however a flat ribbon cable (this doesn’t bother me, but for those that it does bother, it might be worth getting some small flat trunking to clean it up a bit)installation is simple enough, the cables are coloured and labelled (c-1,c-2,c-3 etc) and as long as you have triple checked your model number of intercom, it’s as simple as loosening the terminals and inserting the already prepared wire ends. For me I have a Videx system, and the 3011 handset came in three types on the app. as a 4-wire, 5-wire, and smart. no label on my handset told me what version it was but after looking and counting, I had 5 wires. the instructions for the 5-wire and smart versions were exactly the same so I went for it.Once done, everything works as it should, the intercom at the front door, operates the same as it did before, the handset inside operates as it did before, the bonus now is, your mobile goes off and allows you to talk/unlock.there is another use for these… there has been times when both myself and my partner have shot out the door to empty the bin and forgot the key. Even if either of us is away, I can remotely unlock the lobby door.device sticks to the wall well with no issues.some users here have reported the device throwing ‘errors’. this might actually not be down to the device itself. I have noticed, it will throw an error if the door is presently in the process of unlocking (from another flat).For me though, it will solve my issue of various delivery people not delivering parcels.I will fit a sticker on my front door along with a ‘ring logo’ on my number on the intercom faceplate (I have permission to do so) gone will be the days where they use trades button, knock my front door, I don’t hear it or not in and they wander off with parcel in hand saying I wasn’t in. the sticker will instruct them to press my intercom. which will activate ring.all in all a good product and worth the money if you can get it with 40% off.

Possibly the most useful thing I ever bought
This is very possibly the most useful thing I have ever bought. I recently moved into a block of 3 apartments, there is an intercom entry system but no means for delivery couriers to gain access to the communal hallway unless I am home; which is rarely! The ring intercom alerts me when someone rings the doorbel, allows me to speak to them, and if need be – unlock the door. I can do this from my phone from anywhere in the world as long as I have a mobile data signal.Delivery (to my local hub – (for the very last time) was same day. Fitting it could not have been easier. Unpack the box and pop the battery on to charge. Whilst waiting for that, download the ring app and follow the idiot proof instructions. Yes, ok, it involves doing a bit of wiring; if you are able to wire a 3 pin plug you will have no difficulty doing this. Like I say, the app gives you step by step easy to follow instructions. Everything you need is in the box, including screwdrivers. Within 30 minutes the thing was on my wall and fully functional. Easy peasy.Before you buy one, check that your door entry system is compatible. The system on my block must be 25 years old and not a brand that I had previously heard of – but it was on the list and about 7 different models were all listed!No one will ever call at my place and find me ‘not at home’.

Being disabled I’ve long wanted to find a way to answer the building intercom and trigger the lock without having to get to the Entryphone. Changing the system was not an option as I’m in a block so when this released I jumped on the pre-order. It arrived today and took me about 20 minutes to install having already charged a spare battery. I’ll review in partsHardware. Simple unit with no exposed buttons, I liked that it had a peal and stick option but I used screws to mount. I comes with the main unit, a single battery, mini-usb charging cable, three cables sets (more on these later) and a screw driver. It is all nicely built. Personally I would prefer to just use AA batteries but with the intro package bundled with a spare battery I should always have one ready to go. Once this is installed you have very little integration with the hardware unless you are changing the battery. It all feels rather good quality. Until I pointed it out neither my wife nor kids noticed the edition despite using the intercom which I consider a win.Installation. Only took me about 15 minutes if that, 20 minutes for the complete set-up. You will need to attach cables into the screw blocks on your existing intercom. The unit ships with three different cables, only one of which you will need. The installation guild will ask your make/model of intercom. I knew the make but guessed the model when ordering. Once I opened the intercom the model number was printed on the PCB as the app guild said it would be. The cables are very clearly marked and the instructions had the exact same markings as terminals inside my Entryphone. Everything worked first time no issues and I installed on release day so 10/10Ring App, This is the only down side for me. This is my first Ring device and I do not like the app. The home screen fills the top slot advertising other ring devices and the screen is very messy seeing I only have a single device. Answering and speaking works well, About a 2 second delay from the buzzer being pressed which I think is expectable. Unlocking the door in not so good. You need to hold down the unlock button for about 5 seconds, this then opens a new overlay which you have to then again click unlock on. The whole process takes about 10+ seconds before the activates. Does not seem like a lot but your visitor will be trying the door long before its unlocked and you will have to tell them to try again when it finally activates. Really need to get rid of the second screen which is a repeat of the first and the need to hold the unlock for 3 seconds before it will move forward. Again it is day one so I hope this will improve with feedback. I will be using Alexa which seems fasterAll told I’m very happy to have a solution to 50 year hardware in my building

Poor support, device worked great when setup. After 3 days it started missing rings. It’s been a disappointment. Awaiting support. If it can’t be made more reliable, I’m going to return it.

Schnell gekommen, Lob an den Service, der ist auch okay, auch telefonisch, eine Lösung haben wir nicht gefunden. Klingeln wird angezeigt, Türöffner geht nicht, egal was angeschlossen wird. Meine Anlage ist Standard, auch aufgeführt, auch richtig installiert, Türöffner geht trotzdem nicht. Von daher teuerste Klingel ever.So kann man auf dem Handy von der ganzen Welt aus zumindest nachverfolgen wenn jemand klingelt, öffnen geht halt nicht

Facile l’installation (10min max), une fois installé on reçoit l’appel directement via l’application, on peut ouvrir la porte, c’est pratique aussi si on a oublié les clés. J’aurais aimé avoir la vidéo aussi mais bon c’est pas aussi grave. Après pour le prix je trouve 100 euros c’est un peu chère, moi je l’ai eu a 40 euros je pense que c’est son prix normal, parce a 200 euros je peux changer mon visiophone avec un qui en wifi et donc je vais avoir et la vidéo et l’audio

SE vi interessa rispondere al citofono, parlare con il visitatore e aprirgli il portone a distanza, rimanendo seduti sul vostro divano e interagendo con il vostro dispositivo Alexa o, quando siete fuori casa, gestendo tutto dal vostro smartphone…SE, al vostro rientro, volete aprire il portone dello stabile o della casa indipendente in cui vivete senza ricorrere all’uso delle chiavi…SE vi interessano routine Alexa o comandi rapidi su Apple Watch e iPhone (presumo anche Android) collegati alle suddette funzioni…ALLORA ACQUISTATE QUESTO FANTASTICO RING INTERCOM!!!Ma badate bene: SOLO al giusto prezzo!Cerco di rispondere a tutte le domande che sarebbe legittimo porsi prima dell’acquisto e vi do qualche consiglio.1) IL PREZZO: ok, il prodotto è davvero comodo e bello, specialmente per gli appassionati di funzioni smart e per i più comodi tra noi, ma acquistarlo al costo di â¬99 sarebbe un inutile spreco…non vale tutto quel denaro, mentre nei periodi promozionali, al prezzo di â¬37, è un vero affare…diciamo che sino a 50⬠viene interamente rispettato il rapporto qualità -prezzo;2) COMPATIBILITA’: prima dell’acquisto, consultate l’apposito portale di Ring per capire se questo gioiellino sia compatibile o meno con il vostro citofono…sarebbe un peccato acquistarlo e scoprire, solo in fase di installazione, che risulti inutilizzabile;3) INSTALLAZIONE: per l’installazione, vi dico sin da subito che l’app per dispositivi mobili di Ring è “a prova di imbranato”: vi seguirà passo dopo passo nel montaggio e tutto risulterà facilmente comprensibile anche per chi non abbia mai visto un citofono in tutta la propria vita. Dopo aver scaricato l’app Ring sul vostro smartphone e aver creato un account, dovrete passare all’installazione fisica.a) Levate la copertura esterna del vostro apparecchio (il sistema di smontaggio varia da un citofono all’altro, alcuni hanno delle levette, altri basta tirarli verso l’alto, una semplice intuizione o una banale ricerca sul web vi indicheranno la strada giusta): così facendo avrete accesso ai cavi di collegamento e, soprattutto, niente paura, non c’è il rischio di prendere la scossa o farsi male, il voltaggio dei citofoni è troppo basso (osservazione banale, ma in molti me lo hanno chiesto);b) A questo punto vi converrà svitare leggermente le viti di fissaggio a muro del vostro citofono, in modo tale da far passare i cavi del Ring Intercom di lato, da sopra o da sotto, collocando l’Intercom alla giusta distanza (i suoi cavi andranno inseriti insieme a quelli classici del citofono, quindi occhio alla distanza prima di ancorare il Ring al muro, onde evitare che poi i cavetti non arrivino perchè troppo corti o lontani);c) Fatto ciò, sarà l’app di Ring a indicarvi quali cavi collegare e dove inserirli: in poche parole dovrete svitare leggermente la vite che stringe il cavetto originario, inserirvi anche quello dell’Intercom e riavvitare-stringere, e così via per tutti i cavi di cui vi verrà richiesto l’innesto;d) A questo punto vi do un consiglio: prima di stringere le viti che assicurano il vostro citofono al muro e prima di agganciare nuovamente la copertura del vostro citofono, fate una prova facendovi aiutare da un’altra persona, così potrete verificare che il dispositivo squilli realmente, in collegamento con Alexa, quando qualcuno suona al citofono e che funzionino l’audio in entrata e uscita, oltre al sistema di apertura. Allo stesso tempo verificate che anche tutte le funzioni del vostro citofono originario, quelle classiche con cornetta e pressione dei pulsanti, siano pienamente operative;e) Riagganciate la copertura del vostro citofono ed il gioco è fatto;f) Il Ring Intercom ha due strisce adesive sul retro per poterlo ancorare alla parete, ma badate bene: il dispositivo è leggermente pesante e, laddove lo collochiate vicino ad un forno o ad una fonte di calore e/o umidità , col tempo potrebbe sganciarsi (non è detto che ciò avvenga). In tal caso, valutate la possibilità di agganciarlo alla parete facendo un semplice foro con il trapano (fischer e vite sono già all’interno).4) App Ring e collegamento Alexa: già dopo la prima installazione, vi renderete conto che ad ogni squillo del citofono, i vostri dispositivi Alexa vi informeranno che c’è un visitatore (funzione disattivabile laddove non sia di vostro gradimento). Pronunciando “Alexa, rispondi”, si aprirà la chiamata e sarete in collegamento con l’altro capo del citofono, potendo parlare con il visitatore in piena libertà . In alternativa, potrete scegliere di far squillare il vostro telefono e rispondere da lì, come se foste in chiamata con qualcuno (Anche questa funzione è disattivabile).Allo stesso tempo, potrete dire “Alexa, apri Portone” (nel mio caso l’ho chiamato Portone, ma voi potrete assegnare qualsiasi nome) e Alexa vi darà conferma dello sblocco. Ovviamente quando qualcuno suonerà al vostro citofono, vi arriverà anche un’apposita notifica sullo smartphone, anch’essa liberamente disattivabile.5) Per i più nerd-smanettoni-appassionati: su iPhone potrete inserire un widget a schermo che vi permetta di aprire il portoncino della vostra abitazione con un semplice tap, ma solo nelle schermate ordinarie e non nella schermata di blocco. Per l’aggiunta ai comandi rapidi (e quindi anche nella schermata di blocco e sul vostro Apple Watch), invece, dovrete ingegnarvi, perchè Ring non risulta ad oggi molto collaborativa e aperta verso l’ecosistema Apple, non del tutto almeno. Quindi, fate così: create un trigger apposito su un portale come Virtual Smart Home (non dategli un nome e soprattutto non attribuite lo stesso nome che avete dato al dispositivo RING) e ricavatene-copiate l’URL; recatevi adesso nell’app Alexa e attivate la skill “URL Routine Trigger”: così facendo, in automatico, un nuovo dispositivo virtuale si aggiungerà all’interno dell’app Alexa; dopodiché, sempre in Alexa, create un’apposita routine: alla voce “quando” scegliete “il trigger è premuto” e alla voce “Azione”, scegliete “personalizzato” e scrivete “Apri Portone” (nel mio caso il dispositivo l’ho chiamato “portone”, voi inserirete il nome prescelto), salvate ed uscite; ora andate nell’app Comandi Rapidi, create un nuovo comando e selezionate “Ottieni contenuti dell’URL” e incollate il link che avrete ricavato dal sito Virtual Smart Home. Ed il gioco è fatto. Così facendo, potrete aggiungere questo comando rapido anche alla schermata di blocco del vostro iPhone, farlo comparire come pulsantino sullo schermo del vostro Apple Watch e persino gestirlo tramite Siri.Detto questo, non mi resta che consigliarvi l’acquisto di questo dispositivo della Ring…ma ricordate: SOLO AL GIUSTO PREZZO!!!CONSIGLIATISSIMO!!!

Hace un tiempo nos mudamos a un adosado, con su puerta perimetral propia (lo que seria la puerta del portal, pero no comunitario) y estábamos buscando soluciones para poder atender las llamadas a ella cuando no estábamos. Instalamos un video portero de la marca ARLO, con el cual estamos encantados, funciona avisando a la perfección cuando te llaman, con una calidad de imagen y sonido genial.Pero tiene una gran pega, no podÃamos abrir la puerta de fuera con él.Para ello tenÃamos que instalar un videoportero cableado integrado, lo cual subÃa el presupuesto una barbaridad.Asà que ahora tenÃamos dos timbres en la puerta de fuera; el del portero clásico, al cual si llamaban y estamos fuera no nos enteramos, y el video portero de ARLO, al cual a veces no llamaban (y no nos enteramos) o si llaman no podemos abrir.Ahora con este dispositivo lo hemos solucionado, ya puedo ver quien me llama por el video portero, y luego abrir la puerta gracias a este dispositivo, es una maravilla.Aunque con este dispositivos puedes hacer las dos funciones básicas de un portero automático pero desde tu móvil:- Hablar con quien te llame, la comunicación es bidirectional- Abrir la puertaAsà que los repartidores de Amazon no tienen que tirarme los paquetes por la valla porque no puedo abril, les abro y me dejan el paquete en la entrada, estoy encantado. Lo primero, lo fácil que se instala. Os aseguro que no tengo el mas mÃnimo conocimiento de electricidad ni cables, y me costó 2 minutos literalmente montarlo.Las instrucciones en la app no pueden ser más concisas y fáciles, hasta te da los consejos para escamotear los cables⦠una maravilla. Debes ver primero si tu portero es compatible, en las propias caracterÃsticas del producto en Amazon te indica como ver el modelo, fabricante y si es compatible.En mi caso es un Fermax compatible.Y como salió en oferta de 40 euros⦠que mejor excusa para probarlo. Ha sido la mejor inversión que he hecho en tiempos. La instalación, lo dicho, facilÃsima.Desmontar tu portero (solo tiene un tornillo y quitar la tapa, lo sencillo que es un portero, nunca lo hubiera imaginado) y conectar los cables siguiendo las indicaciones paso a paso de la app, imposible fallar.Viene con diferente mazos de cables preparados en función de tu portero, él te dira cual mazo necesitas y donde conectarlo paso a paso (hasta con imágenes). La instalación fÃsica no necesita ningún grado de capacitación.Trae con los mazos de cables, tornillos y tacos para fijarlo en pared y hasta un destornillador, mas completo imposible. Para la instalación del dispositivo solo tienes que conectarlo a tu portero automático de casa, no debes hacer nada en la puerta de entrada (ni en la tuya, ni en la del portal si es comunitario)Para la conexión del dispositivo a la red wifi solo debes colocar la baterÃa y entra en modo conexión, con la app te conectas a tu red de 2.4gHz y listo, tan fácil como todos estos aparatos de domótica. Funciona con una baterÃa recargable, no se puede alimentar de corriente alterna.He aquà la gran duda, cuanto dura la baterÃa??? En mi caso lo instale el dÃa 26.04.23 con la baterÃa al 100%, y hoy dÃa 15.05.23 con uso normal (2-3 llamadas al dÃa, salvo fines de semana, y enredando más por la novedad) aun esta al 88%, asà que por duración no va a ser.Además en la app te indica el nivel de baterÃa, asà que cuando este acabándose con retirarla y cargarla por la noche es suficiente.Esta baterÃa se extrae fácilmente, cargándose por toma micro-usb (cable incluido) tardando unas 5 horas en cargar.Esta carga por micro-usb es la única pega que le pongo al dispositivo.La app es sencillÃsima y util, permite no sólo abrir la puerta sino también te notifica cuando llaman al timbre de tu portero, asà puedes contestar y hablar con quien llama.Por supuesto desde la app puedes configurar totalmente el intercom, abrir más dispositivos, compartir permisos para que otra persona de casa pueda también contestar y abrir la puerta y mucho más.Pero lo mejor es que puedes abrir la puerta cuando quieras, no tienes que esperar a que llamen, yo los veo por el vÃdeo portero, cambió la app a Ring y abro la puerta, genial!!Eso si, para poder hablar te tienen que llamar.Pero acabo de descubrir que si que se puede hablar con el intercom sin que llamen, gracias aâ¦.ALEXA.La integración con Alexa es perfecta, puedes decirle que âAlexa abre la puertaâ y activa la apertura, pero también âAlexa habla con la puertaâ, asà puedes escuchar tu portero automático e incluso hablar sin que llamen.Una pasada.Los 40 euros mejor gastados en mucho tiempo.
