This is a very handy docking station and game storage system.On the top of the docking station, there are four JoyCon ports for charging your controllers, and the station will also charge any controllers connected to the installed Switch device. This is very handy, especially as my children never remember to charge the extra controllers we own, which is a pain when we want to play games as a family. There is also a USB 3.0 port you can use for charging other devices, such as a mobile phone or tablet.Located on the side and rear of the device are the ports for connecting the docking station to your TV, either via HDMI or USB-C, and they support 720, 1080, and 4K resolutions. The ports work well, and I haven’t had any issues with connectivity or picture quality.At the front of the docking station, under the clear acrylic flap, there are twelve spaces for storing your game cards in two layers: six in the tray above and six in the tray below. There is also space below the game card for storing any SD cards you own. The game cards feel securely held in place thanks to the rubber cut-out spaces, and the plastic lid helps to protect your games and keep them free of dust at the same time.The large power button logo on the top of the device does not actually have anything to do with powering the device. When the switch is connected to the docking station and turned on, there are a series of lights in front of the JoyCon controller ports that light up. The power button will turn these lights on or off, which is very convenient if, like my children, you have your device in your bedroom.There are seven rubber feet on the button of the device, which helps to stop it from sliding around on your desk, and there are similar rubber pads in the docking port for supporting your Switch.I was a little disappointed to see that this docking station does not come with any cables. This is not really an issue for me, as I have the original cables that came with my Switch, but it is a little surprising that there are none included.Other than the lack of cables, I am happy with the handy device. I can now almost guarantee that my controllers will be charged, provided the kids remember to put them on the stand, and I can easily access my most-played games without having to get them out of their cases.

This docking station comes in a cardboard box and inside you’ll find the docking station and an instruction leaflet.The dock itself feels well-built and is reasonably lightweight but has enough weight to feel like a quality product. There are seven rubber feet on the base to stop it sliding on smooth surfaces. The translucent lid that covers the cartridge storage has a spring-loaded flap which gives it a quality feeling when you lift it up as it flips open. It doesn’t snap open; it has a bit of resistance that slows it down a bit. There is a game storage tray underneath which flips up to reveal another storage tray underneath. Each storage tray can hold six cartridges so twelve in total.In use, it works pretty much identical to the original as the picture on the TV looks just as sharp with no artifacts or flickering. I can now move the Switch from the front room to my room and it works flawlessly. The power and HDMI leads come out of the rear of the dock so are easy to hide for cable management. There is a USB-A slot on the right hand side as well as a USB-C out. The Switch can be played on the Switch screen or the TV by pressing the button on the right side to switch between the two. Charging controllers is easy by just slotting them in and there are power lights to indicate the current charge level. The cartridge slots are an excellent addition to have your games handy, ready to play. All this combines in to making a very useful charging dock which I prefer over the original…

So far I’m very happy with this dock. It keeps my switch charged, as well as my extra controllers. The charging area is a little unstable – I wish there was a little more to cushion the sides of the switch so it doesn’t wobble when I place it on the charger, but it doesn’t seem to have any negative effects on the switch. I do also wish there was a way for it to also charge my larger controllers, or at least a place to keep/display them, but it’s not a huge deal. It’s been a great extra dock so I don’t have to keep switching my original from the living room to the bedroom. I’m happy with this product.

At first I was a little skeptical of this doc because it didn’t seem to charge the joy cons. That is until I noticed the large power button on top. This was very much a me issue. I find it very convenient that you can charge for extra Joy-Cons and the dock will not scratch the back or screen as you put the switch into it. Having game slots in the front is quite nice for my kids cuz they have a problem putting games back in the case. This helps solve the issue by keeping them close to where they’re going to change games. It might not hold your entire library but it is a great place to keep the most commonly used games in your household.

This is really great for a switch station and storage for games. It doesn’t fit all our games, but it’s good that it has storage. Everything works well and it connects to our tv just fine. The only thing that bugs me a bit is the joycon slots: the charging works just fine, it’s the slots themselves, they feel loose when you insert the joycon in it. It’s easy to wiggle around and doesn’t really set in or clamp in place. It charges, but it would be nice for it to be more secure in my opinion. Overall a great switch station though!
