A good solution to Sony’s bad design
HDMI type-A to type-D adaptor.The Sony A7Cii has quite a few design flaws, one of them is the inclusion of a micro-HDMI port – it’s very vulnerable and just waiting to get ripped off the mainboard. Fortunately Smallrig make this solution and it works very well, allowing full-size HDMI cables to be attached and removed with zero stress to the mini port itself. Note that you also need a camera cage to attach this to – many of which also have a cable clamp which further strengthens the connection.I do wish there was a version with a right-angle HDMI-D plug so the cable wasn’t sticking out so much.

Unlike many others the plastic around mini HDMI connector is small enough
Quite a few of the mini HDMI cables and adapters has such a large casing around the connector that it puts strain on the port tucked away in tighter spaces. This one is small enough to avoid that. Good solid working product.

Good solution to avoid damage to camera
I bought this to extend my HDMI connection from my camera as some instances on the field can put strain on the port.Thereâs those who are in a position where they can easily replace their device and those who are scared to even scratch the one that they have. This is a good way to ensure your camera doesnât suffer.Only things holding me back from giving it a 5* are the low refresh rate and that the cable is a little short so you have to be a bit strategic on how you mount this to your cage while having room for other accessories.

This one is major I wish I tried this earlier. Kind of makes me hate smallHD brand for their stingy and elitist cabling but here we go I could resolve it. Still hating sony alpha though ð Good image but the pain of horrible menus and the small body etc I canât love it after used canon body as my first.

Ich habe mir diesen Adapter bestellt, weil ich immer ein unsicheres Gefühl bei der Verwendung von meiner Kamera und einem Gimbal hatte. Der HDMI-Port an meiner Sony A7IV ist sehr wackelig und gerade, wenn ich die Kamera in Verbindung mit einem Ninja V an meinem Gimbal montiert habe, hatte ich bedenken das ich die HDMI-Buchse der Kamera beschädige. Durch den Small Rig HDMI Adapter ist diese Angst nicht mehr vorhanden, da ich den Adapter mit 2 1/4″ Schrauben an meinen Kamera Cage geschraubt habe und nun die Belastung meines HDMI-Kabels auf den Adapter wirkt und nicht mehr auf den HDMI Port meiner Kamera.Für mich ist der Adapter eine bessere Lösung als eine Kabelklemme am Cage.
