Great item when using high wattage lamps.
Using our living room for making videos and using high wattage corn led lamps this light socket device allows remote control through the smart life app or Alexa. After fitting the smart light socket the Smart life app detected the device in seconds and was up and running in about 30 seconds, easy peasy. One piece of advice before installing these devices or any other smart device is to switch your modem to 2.4 GHZ only, as I have found when leaving the 5 GHZ band on the app cannot find the smart device. I discovered this when my smart bulbs would not connect on a previous install.Would recommend these devices 100%.

Work great but clunky
These work so well in turning a regular bulb into a smart one, but they are quite large and make the bulb hang a lot lower. The good thing is that they are a cinch to setup. Work with Smart Life and Alexa.

Dangerous item – stay clear from it as it could cause a fire
I ordered this item and used it as instructed which is not complicated, however one of the Smart WiFi very nearly caused a fire in my house. The item for whatever reason had melted deforming the casing resulting in the screw bulb fitting cap dislodged from the casing exposing the electrical wiring, with clear signs of melting of the plastic casing and black burn marks. Avoid this product at all cost – I hope Amazon sees this and offers me a full return / refund or compensation as I am unable to start a return as that was done a another item I order with this that Amazon recalled, it was a bulb type convertor – I presume also for safety reasons, due to this return I do not get the option to start a return for other items from the order.

Only one of the pair works
After installing the first of the pair of the AICase WiFi Smart Socket into the lamp holder it shorted out and tripped my breaker. This leaves me with only one of a pair that works. Very disappointed after paying so much for a pair. And to top it all, the AICase wireless switch that is needed if you want to turn on the light from a wall-mounted switch would not pair with it. It works using Alexa via WiFi but when an attempt to pair it with the suggested wall switch, it would not connect to it at all.

Didnt work for me
Couldnt get them to connect to WiFi, purchased alternatives which connected in less than 5 mins.

Bien, funcionan bien y se asocian a la app de Smart Life con facilidad. Lo que, asociarlas con Alexa ha sido más complicado de lo que creÃa. Hay que crear ambientes primero en la app, en la sección de “inteligencia” y luego la App de Alexa sà que reconoce los ambientes (y no el dispositivo en si) y te puedes crear las rutinas que quieras. Me ha costado un poco, pero al final lo he conseguido. Recomendable.

Fonctionne avec Google home et surtout Alexa ou écho dotTrès simple d’utilisation installation en une minute à peine et fonctionne à merveille personnellement et en situation de handicap cela me rend le grand service de pouvoir contrôler mon appartement à la voix penser juste à mettre un code wifi très compliqué pour éviter toute intrusion qui reste possible sans devenir paranoaucun problème de déconnexion contrairement à ce que j’ai pu lire des autres clients…

Update – I took one of them inside and itâs working as of 11/11/2023 alas the one in an outside fixture failed in early summer. Of course they are not rated for outdoor use and the temperature in the fixture way exceeded what the socket is rated for. I will buy them again when I need a socket adaptor.I’ve had them for 2.5 moths and so far no problems. They’re in outside fixtures protected from the rain, in temperatures from 9F-80F. They’ve been in place in for part of the fall and part of the winter. If they fail in the worst of winter or in the summer heat I’ll update this review. The fixtures they are used in are powered off part of the day and they have no trouble reconnecting when the power comes back on. They synced easily with the Smart Life app and are set to go on from sunset to sunrise.Technical Note: I have a WIFI 6 mesh router that chooses the 2.4 or 5GHz bands automatically.
