giving it a five star, cos it is solid and well built ! i kinda checked the specs, but having it my hand, it is big and heavy !a good self defence weapon, if not a regular selfie stick. i shall use it if not using my lightweight tripod.also, buy one of the decent metal phone holders, only a cheap plastic one supplied, which i wouldn’t use anyway.

Good quality tripod
This tripod at time of testing was priced at £32.99 and includes a smart phone adapter and Bluetooth remote. It is very well made metal tripod that is compact for travelling and storing. The extension measurements are accurate and the sellers description makes it clear what you are getting. Using it as a tripod for a camera or phone it is excellent. The extension poles were a little stiff and I had to check if it was just a pull to extend. Family photos won’t have one person missing or a selfie pole included with someone holding it. The blue tooth remote works well on the iPhone enabling great family photos. I can see this being used for wild life photos and with the remote enabling you to be some distance from the phone. It does work as a selfie stick especially with the remote, but as already observed it is heavy and more expensive than a dedicated selfie stick.I like this tripod very much because of its build quality and the fact it brings a great quality tripod and remote to the normal smart phone user. I would definitely recommend this tripod if you are looking to expand your smart phone photos are just getting into photography. For the professional photographer this will be a handy backup to have.

Not suitable as a portable selfie stick
I thought that this would be a portable heavy duty selfie stick to take on holiday at the weekend. Unfortunately this has two major issues for me. First the Selfie stick/tripod is more a tripod than a selfie stick. Its big and very heavy so I would have returned it for that reason alone but the bigger issue for me is the phone holder. As big and heavy as the Tripod part is the Phone holder is the opposite. It is flimsey and nothing too it. I have a Smasung Ultra S24 which is a big phone and I had hoped that the phone holder was sturdy enough to hold it, and it might just about be, but I did not want JUST ABOUT with a whone costing more than £1k UK.. I sent the selfie stick and holder back within 2mins fof seeing it. In my opinion this thing is simply not worth it if you want a portable selfies stick, that poses as a tripod as well and have a big phone. I printed the return label within mins and dropped the rreturn we Evri the next day. Not worth buying IMO… Sorry.. Put a much BETTER phone holder with it and then at least you can sell it an upmarket heavy duty stay at home tripod that can pccasionally be a selfie stick.
