Excellent Value
The Comica CVM-V30 LITE is a excellent microphone for the price (£35.99 at the time of this review)The build quality is decent and feels some what sturdy being made from mostly plastic. the shock mount seems to work well minimising some of the harsh vibrations while walking around and hand holding the device. This microphone work with both DSLR cameras and smartphones – there is a single switch on the rear of the device for switching between cameras and smartphones so make sure you are using the correct mode depending on what device you are using. The sound quality is also very good (for the price) more than good enough for vlogging on the likes of youtube or live streaming on facebook. having a noticeable increase in quality on the in built microphone. You won’t get studio quality from the likes of a £100+ microphone but for £35 or so you are getting a great quality boost if you are currently using your devices built in mic.One small gripe is that the jack cable is non-removable but this is not a major issue as unless you are rough with your mics they should last a good while, it would have been nice though to be able to swap out for a longer cable or replace if it ever got damaged.Overall I would recommend this mic to anyone starting out on youtube or making videos to give you better quality audio with a sleek and lightweight mic.

Very affordable and a step up from built in Camera Microphones
When purchasing a cheaper Microphone for your camera you always have to make some sacrifices, this is also the case here with this one, but the sacrifices for the price are definitely worth it.It is quite a step up from the usually very bad built in Microphones, that even Cameras for over 1000$ unfortunately have and produces a decent sound when used with my Panasonic Lumix. There is a slight background humming noise when the microphone does not pick up sound and it also picks up the noise from the camera itself a bit, hence I gave it only 4 stars, as this could be easily avoided with a better sound isolation on the sides. ( you can watch the review on my youtube channel SkymashiTV with sound comparison to a similar priced microphone ).The quality of the Microphone in terms of materials feels good and sturdy and the shock mount the microphone is attached to provides solid absorption. All in all it will be for now my go to microphone for recordings where I need to use a shotgun microphone and I think its a good option, as it also provides capabilities to be used with smartphones.

Great for Interviews
I have tested this microphone in a variety of scenarios, overall i have been pretty impressed with it.My video shows it being tested in my little home studio with voice and music, comparing it to the built in microphones in an iPhone 6S plus and a Sony RX100mk3 camera.I think it sounds a lot clearer than the iphone microphone for voice and certainly is higher gain than Sonys built in microphones. The mic will definitely help get better audio in fairly close up interview settings, it has plenty of gain to give you clearer, higher volume recordings and its high sensitivity will hear things your camera or smartphone will struggle with however being such a high sensitivity microphone you will need to keep an eye on how loud your signal is because it can be a little bit too high in some situations, i found especially in live music situations you need to use an app that has audio recording level controls, the built in IOS camera app was recording very overdriven distorted audio , in future i will use Filmic Pro app and bring the audio level down to a reasonable level. The mic is very lightweight, i hardly know its there on my Sony camera, the shock mount is quite effective. I think the foam cover would have been better being a deadcat/rycote type because the supplied foam isn’t too effective as a windshield in much more than a light breeze. For the money i think you could do a lot worse than investing in the Comica V30 Lite, i will be happy to put it in my kit bag for when i want to leave a separate audio recorder at home.

Better than mic on camera, but not great.
Improved the sound on the instructional videos we made, but not great. Using a Nikon D3200. Maybe should have spent a bit more, but for £35 I guess ‘acceptable’ would be the word I’d use to describe.

Cheap and easy way to uupgrade your Smartphone/Camera Mic Quality
Hey guys so these are quite decent.I’ve connected them to my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and they worked like a charm ! I had to connect them using a USBC to 3.5mm audio jack in order to connect it directly to the phone. You simply switch the button at the back to smart phone mode and its good to go ! I find that it is a rather HOT / sensitive mic compared to the mic on the S21 ultra, so you may need to turn it down in post. Furthermore the wind muff is not very effective it is very windy outside – you may need and additional dead cat.I also used this on my Sony ZV1, switch the button at the back to camera mode and I was good to go. The Sony ZV1 has a built in Audio preamp setting so it’s easier to turn down the sensitivity of the mic whilst using. It’s brilliant that it can switch between phone and video mode even when it is using one TRRS cable.

Good Value
It is light to carry around. Very flexible on what you can use it with. The shock absorber works very well to keep any unwanted sound. It does a great job on recording what is in front of you and block out sounds behind you.Recording from a distance might be a bit of a problem. The closer you are, the better the sound of you voice is. Many of this problem can be fixed in post editing. It works surprisingly well. Of course if you pay more the better microphone you will get. But for this price it does a good job. If you are starting to experiment with better audio then this is a good recommendation to start off with ð

I’ve heard about the Comica CVM-VM10II before and have watched the videos online about it. I was still skeptical. But once I opened the package and felt the quality of the materials used in the construction of the microphone, I was immediately impressed. The microphone feels robust and solid. The shock mount is sturdy and made from high quality, dense plastic. I like that it also includes the foam windscreen and the furry windscreen, not to mention the two types of cables to connect to either a camera or smartphone. The microphone’s performance was beyond expectations. I used it both indoors and outdoors and the sound was awesome. Plus, the furry windscreen completely blocked all the wind noise while filming at the beach on a windy day.Like I said, it’s a surprisingly great microphone that I highly recommend.
