Fun, dinosaur themed, drone
This, dinosaur themed, drone arrived in a colourful box and nestled in a plastic tray to keep it well protected. In the box were the drone itself, controller, spare parts and an instruction booklet. The controller requires 3 AAA batteries (not supplied) but the battery on the drone arrived charged and ready to go.This is an extremely lightweight drone so I would recommend using it in a big space outdoors, as the wind could easily knock it off course.I’ve been having a practice indoors and have found it quite tricky to control. There are so many buttons on the controller that it’s easy to get confused – though I daresay the kids that this is aimed at will learn pretty quickly. The battery allowed for about 10 to 15 minutes flying time and, for such a lightweight construction, it was amazingly sturdy – surviving plenty of crashes initially. At รยฃ29.99, at time of review, I think it’s a little overpriced but the unusual design will definitely appeal to dinosaur fans and it’s a fun introduction to drone flying.

Funny little drone, not built for the skies
This is more of a toy than an actual drone. Had lots of laughs with the little one, especially when it randomly decided to take off in the wrong directionรขยยended up chasing it a few times and fishing it out of some bushes. The remote control can be a bit unreliable. On the plus side, it’s made of foam, so crashes arenรขยยt a big deal. It doesnรขยยt break. Battery life is shortรขยยafter just a couple of minutes it started to struggle, but luckily it comes with two batteries, which helps extend the playtime a bit.

Great for a youngest who want to try out a simple drone.
An easy to fly drone for older children or those wanting to learn before purchasing a more expensive drone.Comes with items as shown in listing ie 2 x remote, 2 x batteries, charger spare blades. Manufactured from expanded polystyrene so lightweight at 39grams not the 250grams as stated รขยย so well under the 250grams as required by the CAA. Operates via 2.4GB Bluetooth so flying distance is limited.Required 3 AAA batteries for the remote รขยย not included. Requires USB charge for the flight batteries รขยย not included.Did feel it was a little expensive for what is was and I would be more comfortable with a price point around รยฃ20.Reviewer Experience รขยย 40 years+ radio controlled experience and 15 years drone experience.

Basic fun for five minutes
As a fun, but basic, way of introducing kids to drones (safely), this dinosaur quadcopter is a good toy. However, it is quite pricey for something so limited and without even a basic camera for FPV or phone vision. Given that you CAN get such features at this price point, this really does only introduce the basics. On the plus side, it doesn’t fly far away from the pilot, making it easy to control. It has a couple of party tricks, but, tbh, I can see kids quickly getting bored once they master all it has to offer. Especially when the little ones this was intended for from us, already aspire to own DJI drones! Kids, eh!?!

Flying Dinosaur Drone
My child was fascinated from the moment he opened the toy and now wants to go outside and fly it every day. First of all, it is extremely easy to install and use. It offers two different speed modes – you can practice in slow mode at the beginning and switch to fast mode as your skills increase. The hover feature is also very helpful for novice users. The charging time is reasonable and the flight time is about 10-12 minutes. It is not affected by small collisions thanks to its light weight. This toy can be used as an entry level for using drones. It has also been a great source of motivation for spending time outdoors. It will be a nice gift for children who love dinosaurs.

A fun pterodactyl drone
This is a slightly tricky to review drone-based pterodactyl.I’ve got a lot of experience with drones, so could factor this into the review, however you have to keep in mind that this is a รยฃ34.99 flying toy. This does fly relatively well when it’s dead calm, however due to the design; wings and large front beak, etc, it does make it a little lively to fly. As such, it might not be ideal for new flyers or younger children. It’s entertaining to fly, however. It definitely needs a larger area though as it works best when moving forward at a little speed (there are 3 settings for speed). It does do stunts too, with rolls in all directions. It’s fairly solid too, so can take a bump or 2 without any significant consequences.Overall, it’s not bad value for what it is.I like that there’s 2 batteries included, plus they charge quickly via usb-c; an advantage over many other toy drones that use m8cro-usb chargers.I can definitely recommend it to more experienced drone pilots who want something a little more novelty to fly.
