Solid little travel mouse
I grabbed this little Acer wireless mouse a fortnight ago and it has surprised me in the best possible way. It more or less disappears in my rucksack, yet the curved right edge still gives my hand something solid to rest on during those endless bouts of document tinkering. Set-up could not be simpler, slip the tiny USB receiver into a spare port, wait a heartbeat and the 2.4 GHz link locks on, stable from sofa to telly without a single dropout. You can flick through three sensitivity settings, 800, 1200 or 1600 DPI. The lowest level is gentle enough for spreadsheets, while the top step copes with a casual blast of Fortnite before tea. Anything more frantic and you might fancy a quicker sensor. Six buttons in total, with forward and back sitting under your thumb, make web trawling quicker, even if those two side switches feel a touch squashy.A small status LED keeps you in the loop, flashing the current DPI and later giving you a heads-up when the pair of AAA cells are running low, batteries sadly not in the box. Because it is so light it is perfect for travel, although that same lightness can let it skate about on a glossy desk pad.For everyday graft it does exactly what I want, quiet clicks, no lag, and a shape my hand does not argue with. Granted, you miss out on Bluetooth and bundled batteries, but at this price I can happily live with the compromise.

Quality budget mouse
This wireless mouse from Acer is a nice quality basic device which of course has some compromises to achieve the budget price tag, but nothing too major. Firstly this is not rechargeable it requires 2xAAA batteries which are not supplied and is also restricted to using itâs own USB transceiver rather than Bluetooth. It is very lightweight even with batteries fitted, whether or not you prefer this will be down to personal taste. Ergonomically it is a very good shape – for right handers only – with a couple of extra buttons above the quite deep sculpted thumb groove. The ability to adjust the DPI, albeit with only three settings, also helps customise it in accordance with your usage preferences. For just £14 at time of review if you are after a decent quality budget wireless mouse this is a good choice.

Needs a traditional mousemat
This is a review of “acer Wireless Mouse, 3 Adjustable DPI Ergonomic Computer Mouse 2.4GHz with USB Receiver, 6 Buttons, Cordless Optical Tracking, Battery Indicator, Portable Mice Wireless for Laptop, PC, MacBook Pro”I am a Mac user and well-used to using a Magic Mouse but still always on the lookout for something better. This Acer mouse is readily compatible with mac and paired immediately using the dongle (there is no bluetooth option). The ergonomics are very apparent in the hand and the left/right clicks are precise and very quiet, almost silent. The larger page forward/page back buttons on the left are a bit clunky in appearance and in operation – and when I say in operation I just mean to click, they don’t appear to do anything on my Mac.For me the main downside of this mouse is that it clearly prefers a fairly slick surface. I use a very large desk/mouse mat, leatherette, which the Magic Mouse operates on without issue, but this Acer mouse doesn’t move slickly on it – it’s fine on a desk surface but I think it would operate best on a completely smooth mouse mat.Needs two AAA batteries (not included).Exceptional value at its current price (at time of review) of just £13.99.- – – – – – – – – -Note: As a member of the Vine program I was supplied with this item free of charge. I will always provide an impartial and fair review of the product in question. My rating system is as follows:5 Stars â an exceptionally good, high quality product with no perceived shortcomings4 stars â a very good product that met my expectations3 stars â a product which could be better in some respects, but is still fit for purpose2 stars – a product with significant shortcomings, one which disappointed1 star – an absolute disaster of a product that should not be on sale

Comfortable mouse but minor niggles
Marking an endless pile of reports in my cramped Cardiff terrace, I finally binned the creaky old wired mouse that had survived far too many parentsâ evenings and plugged in this wireless Acer. Straight away, the right-hand curve felt as though it had been moulded around my own palm, and the grippy thumb rest stops the sudden slide that used to fling the cursor into Year 4âs column. The tiny 2.4 GHz receiver paired with my near-antique laptop in seconds. Three sensitivity settings are on offer: fine for casual browsing, though on the 4 K screen in the staffroom I still push it to the highest level and would happily take a touch more speed.Main clicks are almost whisper-quiet, perfect for midnight marking while the house sleeps. The two side buttons, on the other hand, clack loudly enough to attract side-eye in a silent classroom, so I rarely bother with them.Battery life seems respectable so far, although I would much prefer a built-in rechargeable cell instead of pinching AAA batteries from the television remote. That gripe aside, the shell feels solid with no suspicious creaks, and at this price it is cracking value if you care more about comfortable ergonomics than fancy extras.

Bin echt begeistert wie sich die ” Mäuse” entwickelt haben. Diese Maus ist angenehm groà und liegt gut in der Hand. Ich höre kaum ein typisches Klickgeräusch. Sehr leise alles. Klare Kaufempfehlung…

Very comfortable to hold, love the navigation buttons. It is not as heavy as I would have hoped, but it still works very well!!!!
