The design of this Jinpei tiny camera is definitely inspired by the Insta360 Go and for the most part it functions similarly minus the insta360’s screen dock. In fact, this camera doesn’t have a screen at all so you can either trigger recording via the single front button or connect it to the camera’s phone app to both live monitor and trigger recording/photos. I believe that you are only able to take photos with the camera via the app and not by using the on camera buttons, but even the photo taken using the app saves a short video at the same time for some reason and looks like a screen-grab from the video.I like that the camera comes bundled with a 64gb micro-sd card. It is GIGASTONE brand, never heard of it but performs as expected. The camera also comes bundled with a dock clip and a magnetic necklace that I found the most handy. With the dock clip you are able to slot the camera into the cradle of the mount and clip it to a hat brim or a thinner backpack strap. What’s nice about this clip is that the camera is able to pivot while docked in this and can get multiple angles although the camera needs to be vertically standing to film horizontally and vise versa, so in horizontal recording mode it is only able to turn side to side on the clip (sorry it’s a little hard to explain).My favorite mount for this camera is the magnetic necklace. You are able to put the magnetic puck under your shirt and magnetize the camera onto the outside of your shirt giving a nice POV perspective. I noticed that the field of view was a little tight and wished that it was a little wider. The inability to pivot the camera angle up and down while mounted on this magnetic necklace limits it to only show what your torso is pointed at not higher or lower.The camera quality is decent at 4K 30fps but it definitely has a dash cam kind of look. This camera feels like a rehoused dash cam all together and the app allows you to do loop recording (up to 8 minutes) when the memory runs out erasing previous footage, and has crash detection. Both weird things for an action camera but very standard for dash cameras.I think for $60 this Jinpei action camera is a fun alternative to the Insta360 Go and allows you to get most of the same experience for a small portion of the price of the Insta360. The video quality is just ok but more than good enough for some fun social media recordings and the magnetic back on this camera allows you to mount it to any metallic surface without messing about with GoPro feet or thumbscrews. This is a nice little camera package.

I took this 4k action cam on one of my 50 mile recreational bike rides. It was a high wind day so I wore a wind breaker. I used the magnetic plate on the lanyard under my wind breaker and stuck the camera to the plate over my wind breaker. I used the app to connect the camera and it took 4k video in 3 minute intervals. Set up was simple and quick. I used the included SD card and transferred the videos to my phone via USB-C. The picture quality was clear and crisp, the audio is pretty sensitive and clear as well. The microphone picked up a fair a amount of rustling from my jacket, but that was to be expected. There were a number of different settings and resolutions to choose from but I only tested the default. I was impressed with the size, weight, and performance of this camera and believe it to be a good value.
