Excellent watch and fantastic value
This watches does everything I need and look fab. Compared to the more expensive stuff out there its an absolute bargain. I used the app to log everything authomatically and the battery lasts a week. It allows for strap changes so I can dress up or down. Totally love it and worth it. I dont even have a Xiaomi phone. You don’t need one, just an android.

Brilliant gadget
I have had a few MI Smart Bands. This latest version is the best so far. The detachable straps make changing them very easy. Battery life is great, don’t recall when I charged mine last! And charging is very quick. It has loads of features which I don’t use, but for the money I think it is one of the best smart bands on the market.

Only strap is the week point
It has been a few months since I bought this product, and I still love it. This is my second one because my first had some issues with the pedometer and I had to return it. I compared my first band and the current one with my previous fitness band to count the steps. This one works well, but I need to wear it on my dominant hand for accurate tracking. When I wear it on my left hand, it counts for about one-third of the steps I actually take.
I really enjoy the cycling feature, the sleep mode and alarm work great. It calculates your sleep routine and finds the best window to wake you up before your chosen time. Every time I wake up, itâs a pleasant experience, and it really works like it promised.
It looks great, and the option to change the appearance is a nice bonus. The only modification I made was switching to a leather strap because the original one wasn’t very secure. I’ve almost lost the watch a few times.

Does NOT measure heart rate 24/7
Advertised as “continuous 24/7” heart rate monitoring. However in actuality it takes a reading every minute or so. It gives you the option to choose auto/minute/hour etc but when auto and watching the heart rate it needs to keep taking a new measurement unlike other competitive bands where you can see your heart rate in real time (similar to an oxygenation saturation probe). I do not recommend this for anyone who requires second by second readings (whether for health reasons or to monitor during work outs). The rate itself was accurate so may still be a good option for more casual users, but this was a deal breaker for me. In addition, I found that although the step count was accurate on the watch itself, when paired with the app on my phone (which happens to be a Xiaomi phone), the numbers on the app and the watch did not correspond and were always out by anywhere from 200 to 2000 steps and needed to sync retrospectively.

Beautiful looking watch…battery life brilliant and the gold tone case is a welcome change from past Xiaomi Mi Bands. Strap is a great improvement with the new attach/detach system.

I love this watch, I had the very first gen of this watch back in like 2011/12 when there was no screen, only an app. I have owned 3 more since then and have always been pleased with them. One thing I wish would be that they would update is customizable watch faces but thats nothing to down the watch for. I use this also to track my heart rate and pulse ox and its always right on with my true medical devices at home. A great little watch for basic needs. And its comfy on the wrist

Ich benutze das Xiaomi Smart Band 8 seit ein paar Wochen und bin wirklich begeistert. Für den günstigen Preis bietet es viele Funktionen, die man sonst nur bei deutlich teureren Geräten findet.
⢠Display: Das 1,62 Zoll AMOLED-Display ist sehr hell und scharf. Dank der 60 Hz Bildwiederholrate wirkt alles flüssig, und die automatische Helligkeitseinstellung ist im Alltag sehr praktisch.
⢠Gesundheitsfunktionen: Das Band misst zuverlässig Herzfrequenz, Blutsauerstoff (SpOâ), Stresslevel und Schlaf. Besonders die Schlafüberwachung liefert hilfreiche Einblicke in die Schlafqualität.
⢠Sportmodi: Ãber 150 Sportarten werden unterstützt â vom Laufen über Yoga bis hin zu eher exotischen Aktivitäten wie Tanzen oder Schach. Für jeden ist etwas dabei!
⢠Akku: Der Akku hält bei mir locker 10 bis 14 Tage durch, je nach Nutzung. Sehr angenehm, nicht ständig laden zu müssen.
⢠Design: Leicht, elegant und mit wechselbaren Armbändern â sieht am Handgelenk richtig gut aus.
Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt: Es gibt kein eingebautes GPS, aber über das Smartphone wird das gut kompensiert.
Fazit: Für alle, die einen günstigen, aber leistungsstarken Fitness-Tracker suchen, ist das Xiaomi Smart Band 8 eine klare Empfehlung!
